thats strange ! it doesn't look like a def . it almost looks like burn from spilling nutes on it as you fed it . is that possible ?

Yes, that is absolutely possible. I tend to spray off any leaves hit with nute solution with plain tap water, but neglected this last time.

That is what I do now. I stopped using Veg + Bloom. It was better when it was new. Something changed.

I have been trying maxi powders my last run and this new one. The first time I tried just MaxiBloom at 7 grams a gallon in veg and flower and didn't like it. This run was Maxigro for veg and it did pretty good. I would have to say I think my plants started better in coco with V+B. At three weeks old though, you wouldn't know the difference.

Just switching to MaxiBloom now for flowering. I think adding some humic and fulvics would equal them out more too.

Don't get me wrong, Veg + Bloom Kicks ass in bloom. It's the best nute I ever used. Mostly I use maxigrow in veg because I veg 3 times as many plants as make it to the bloom rooms. Saves me some coin and works well with a bunch of additives. V+B rocks!

Its the same $3/lb nutes farmers use with a fancy label attached to it.

Do the math

I've grown top chronic with home made compost and miracle grow (still over priced, but I can get it 3 blocks from my house).

any of you hear of this nute its by hydroponic research?
been on the maxibloom for along while now but this might have it beat.
its alittle more money $19.99lb $100 5lbs. but it really sounds good.
its a finer podwer and dissolves faster and easyer than maxi.
and has aminos and silica already in it. i think the npk was 16-10-30 but i cant remember for sure. guess they will give free samples as well to try it thinking of trying it.

just wondering if anyone has tryed or heard of it?

If I could mix up some exactly like V+B I would. I can't. Don't have the time to fuck with it. That's the story for most of us when it comes to all stuff we buy. I could grow all my own veggies, don't have time to fuck with it. I will give you $10 a lb if you can make me some ferts EXACTLY the same as V+B mate:biggrin:

yup i dont mind spending a couple hundred on some nutes and additives i get all that back off 1 limb of my plant making the other 14 total free profit :woohoo: i grow outdoors only so my cost is very low and profit very high at 350$ a oz

It's not about the costs for me. Something changed with their product IMO. The base mix must have changed when they introduced the additive products. Again just my opinion. After a few runs when they just had the original mix I was still unhappy in flower. I after a few discussions with Chris, he recommended adding HydroPlex in flower. A few of us tried different enhancers and found they made flowering better. Then Chris comes out with his own and I feel something changed with the base nutes.

I liked the stuff. I will probably go back to Jacks anyway.

Good theory except I didn't start using the V+B RO/Soft until a few months ago, after he was already selling the additive products. It's still kicking ass for me:biggrin:

Hey yall, so I posted this a bit ago, but no one responded, but now it seems like even more folks are having an issue. Ive got 40 ppm tap. I switched from HD to RO on reccomemdation. Since switching to RO, Ive been having mag. issues around week 4. Any ideas? Did v+b change something or should I just switch back to HD after I run through thr RO?

My tap water is similar, and I've used RO for years. I have one strain that develops a bad mag deficiency starting around 3-4 weeks, and I add 2mg/gallon of epsom salt to fix it.

Have you ever ran the HD? I never had a problem until I switched up. Im going to grab a lb of HD and side by side a couple.

Are you guys using your tap or RO with the maxigrow? I'm going to switch over to maxigrow with my RO in veg on today's feed. Will save the veg+bloom for flower solely if possible. Thanks in advance fellas

Don, make sure to watch your Ca, Mag, and silica levels.

I don't get what your saying. I don't see how this has anything to do with my question above? Can you explain more?

Switching to maxi which has less mag and ca so maybe that's what you mean? Where did silica levels come into this convo?

So confused mixing up the first maxigro feed right now

I use tap water. We are on a shared well. 260 -280ppm and 8.0ph out of the tap. I added about .5 grams, approx 40ppm, of epsom salt with maxigro. I cut out the epsom with maxibloom. So far so good.

I am running GG4 and a skunk cross right now.
