I've been using the same recipe from Snype in my ez cloners.
I substituted gh rapid start (tsp/5gal) instead of super thrive.
The rapid start really thickened the ropes coming off the cuts.
Been getting almost 100% these days.
I had to stop using aero cloners for awhile due to slime.
I then went to rw clones for awhile, but they started to fail me too.
I had to pony up and buy a new style 30 site ez cloner.
As long as I use the pool shock in there every 3-4 days, I've been good.

FYI, the online recipe for pool shock doesn't add up to the ppms shown in the thread. I do 5 grams per gallon and then use the 6ml/ gallon to my res. This checked out with my chlorine tester to the appropriate mix.
Which off the top of my head should be .5-2ppm threshold

Anyone using the dirty formula and if so how are you liking it? Is everyone using the push, life and shine too?

That didn't kill your roots or stunt the cloning process?

Hey all, I use EZcloner straight tap (40ppm) near 100% success, cean out every 10 days or so. On another note, I switched from the HD to the RO and started having magnesium issues, never had any issues with HD, (again 40ppm tap), so Ill be switching back a.s.a.p.

all I use is dirty and shine and life .its made for mediums like pro mix hp.only drawback of the dirty is its just that dirty and leaves silt in tank or rez but it works incredible.i ran out and went with lucas formula while waiting for mine in mail and plants suffered nutrient deficiencies almost immediately.MD

Hey all you people growing in Coco...why are you not cloning in Coco? I get roots in 5-7 days, and the clones look as nice as the day I clipped them. They never skip a beat. When I did DWC I used to bubble clone or made aero cloners....the clones took longer to get roots and usually didn't look perfectly healthy. If you Grow in Coco...clone in Coco.

^ After years of ups n downs with coco this is what i finally settled with. I clone in small beer cups with holes poked in the bottom. everything roots eventually. no dome. no spraying. just wait for roots, and start feeding light after week and a half wether they all have roots or not, they will...

i did it that way for years slow , but it just stopped working one day for me , so i went to RR plugs . untill that stopped working too , now i use an aerocloner ....
my environment for veg is forever fluctuating & it depends on the time of year (temps & RH in my veg room ) as to what works for me . believe me , i've been through so many ways of cloning that i have them all here in case one thing stops working , i just switch to another method till i get good strike rates .
the aerocloner works good all year round , but the plugs only work well when the RH is down a little .

I switched to the gold label or h&g coco bout a year ago, for no other reason than it was more readily available, butcanna was my go to since forever before that. Youd think even if something a lil differentit still wash out after a week or so with dtw...

yeah they do fine after a couple weeks of reg feeds , but its that 2 weeks after transplanting thats driving me fuckin crazy ! they look like shit & grow real slow .
i'll get a pic of some that are just coming out of that stage so you can see what i mean .
had some one tell me to add half base & half PK booster to get .8 EC to treat the condition . i may try it on a couple plants , just to see if it helps .

i'm gonna see if my grow shop guy can get me the canna bricks they're making now . this way i can hydrate them with a precharge & be ready to go right from the bin . haven't needed to precharge the bagged stuff ever , but its gonna be a PIA if i have to start doing it now , no real place to do it & let it dry out before use .

same as these red stems dans? I don't worry about them no more , seem to grow out of it , there in new canna, you recycle a fair bit of coco ? I use some to top up bigger pots.

nahhh noyd , i mean the main stems are red & woody . i'll get pics in a bit when i go down stairs .

Ok heres what i'm talking about . they are nice healthy clones going into the bigger pots from cups , but then everything turns to shit for about 2 weeks ! red stems & a K def & have also seen a mag def . after about 10 to 14 days of feeding .8 EC at 5.9 ph every 3rd or 4th day , they start to grow normal again . (thats the stage they're at in the pics , new good growth showing )
from cups to my 5" pots & even a mom i stuck in a 3 gallon to grow out did the same thing . defs & red stems & slow growth .
the same room as always , same nutes at the same strength , same temps .... same everything . i was baffled till a freind said he was going through the same thing & he uses canna coco in the bags .

I started out with bag canna then switched to canna blocks. Once it's hydrated there is no way to tell the difference between the two. That's how good canna makes their blocks compared to all the other funky blocks on the market which I've tried. Dan I do mine in the house, you don't have to let it dry out before use. You don't even have to charge it. The instructions say to just use plain water and it's ready to plant. I don't believe them so I hydrate with 50% feed or around .5-6ec. Also don't believe the instructions on how much water/ feed to use to hydrate. The blocks come in a pack of 4. Use exactly 4 gal of water/feed to hydrate or 1 gal per block. Use a 10 gal tote from Walmart, 4 blocks in the bottom and dump 4 gal on top. Then wait overnight and go back and mix it up with your hands and it's ready to plant. The moisture content will feel like it came out of the bag. Same as bagged stuff only cheaper.
