Because I run a perpetual garden. I harvest every week and put more plants in every week. All in the same room I have plants that are in every week from 1 through 10. They are drawing feed from the same 30gal res. The only way to vary the feed and it make sense is to have like 6 more res tanks and main feed lines. Besides I've found very little difference between varying ec and not varying it. I handwatered with varying ec last winter. Just running 1.3ec now works just as good or better.:tiphat:

thats interesting  i've never heard of anyone doing it that way . most people that harvest that often, hand feed .
how do you flush/leach your pants before harvest ? unhook them & hand feed ???

Ahhh, the coveted monocrop! May I ask which strain or strains you settled down with? Im working on narrowing down the cuts I keep, got it down to 5 right now, want to get it down to 2 or 3 dedicate one light to one strain every cycle, so I got at least a full unit of one kind. its hard when i keep popping all these damn seeds tho....:wallbash:

Up till a month ago I was pulling out the blumat and just giving them well water by hand for weeks 9 and 10. Now I'm just running feed till the end and not seeing any difference except less yellow leaves. I run every strain 10 weeks, I get at least half amber and potent smoke. All strains get treated the same. I never get major deficiencies and don't give a fuck about minor ones. I have over 40 strains going right now. I'm a strain sampler. Spent a shitload of money on seeds the last few years, I also run all the BEST strains that the member Baked Beanz makes. On top of that my friend here goes down to Cali every month and brings back all the best clones from Harborside, Darkheart nursery etc. I also picked up clone only cuts from guys on here. What's the most potent of every strain I've sampled- The Black Death. Malawi hit with some Black Lime. The guy who made the seeds didn't test it and the guy who got some seeds and grew it had me smoke test it- holy fuck! Must be mostly the Malawi so now I got lots of New Killer Malawi growing and have to start running it up to 14 weeks. Lots of Black Death in veg also:biggrin:

I'm sorry , I can't do that ! I need the plain water feeds to flush out all he nutes by chop time otherwise i can still taste the chems in the buds !!! tastes like shit to me & makes me cough up a lung unless they're flushed at least 2 weeks , sometimes 3 if i don't see enough fade !

the pic is at 57 days & i go to 63 on the GG4 , nice fade & flushing on this batch !!!

Don't know what it is but I didn't get any fade on 8 out of 10 strains with the 2 week leach. Taste or harshness was all strain dependent. I'll probably go back to the 2 week leach just to save nutes. I had too much shit going on the last month and got lazy.

I am always amazed at how much fade you get with VB. I also consider fading important. My 6/9 plants fade really well, but I cut the Micro out a few weeks before flush. Light intensity and heat also causes faster yellowing during flush. I always flush for 10-14 days, with straight RO. Trying some other nutes on a few plants, they suggest flushin with about 1/4 strength, instead of straight RO. Many companies suggest that. So for the he'll of it I tried it for a week. It did not fade the plant at all. I knew that would be the result, so I flushed with straight RO after the first week. The plant looks great, but did not fade enough. It will be chopped this weekend. The next plant in line got strsight RO from day 1 flush, it is fading noticeably more than the 1/4 /strength flushed plant looked at this stage of flushing. Like you, I will go longer with the flush if it needs it. I have many medical patients. They do not deserve an improperly flushed product. Some of them are older and/or old school and prefer to smoke joints. They don't want a product that doesn't burn right, needs relighting, is harsh, etc. I have been growing in straight Coco for a VERY long time. It holds salts, I used to be anal and check my runoff during flush. I could visually see the plant change as the runoff EC decreased. Plants that had excessive EC took longer too fade and required more water to decrease runoff EC. Many times the EC would be OFF THE CHARTS the first week. Not even measure...too high.

That being said, I stopped checking with my regular nutes. However I did check the runoff of other nutes and it was 3.6 after the week of 1/4 strength. I will only flush my plants with straight RO from day 1 Flush. Anything else but straight RO a waste of my time. Dare I say a waste of ever ones time. Each persons wants/needs are different. But as a Coco grower for a really long time, I know for a fact Coco holds a LOT of salts, but it will not nescessarily harm your plant. And Smart Pots hold even more nutes/salts vs plastic pots, I have done countless experiments. Even if I did not have medical patients, I personally would still have the same outlook. I would rather take a plant a week longer if it needs more flushing vs taking a plant on DAY 63...because it is a "9 week strain.".

yo ez didnt u use to use hydroplex with V+B? i was wondering why u changed. i have 2 samples of hydroplex and was thinking about running it with the dirty.

The Pictures in this thread don't lie, there are haters and detractors but lets face it what works for us here in this thread may not work for you at all, a lot of variables come into play! there are a lot of people in this room that can be very helpful if you are patient and Kind to others, I have recieved alot of help right here from one person in particular but many have given me advice! the product works and is much simpler than mixing the contents of 6 bottles, for its simplicity and speed of reservoir mixing it can't be beat not to mention it throws some stellar buds when done properly.peace and good luck!:tiphat:
