I never got the sugar I'm getting with the HD with the ro version. The ro version is def easier to dial ph wise but once you start dropping the HD to like 5.6 and hit your coco they put out much thicker stankier growth. I use HD now from soaking my propagation plugs at .2 ec to blowing em out in week 6 with 1.8 ec. Maybe it's that I'm recirculating, who knows. Keep doing what your doing.

I thought HD worked as well as 6/9 and Maxibloom but I was looking for better than those two. That's why I wish I would have tried the regular version of V+B. I never went above 1.2ec with the HD also.

BTW feeding at the levels you recommend certainly burns through the powder quickly, but it also burns my plants. I suspect the former is all you're really worried about.
For anyone who cares, my side by side plants in veg is going well. I have 1 plant in the middle getting fed 1.2 EC ro versionWith a little Epsom salt and 2ml per gal hormone booster. On each side the same plants are getting fed 1.2 EC MaxiGrow 2ml Hormone booster and a little silic for pH up. It has been about a week, all 3 plants look great..But my 2 MaxiGrow plants are slightly taller. I plan on topping and Vegging another week, then flipping. I will keep experimenting, but I think MaxiGrow is still going to veg better/faster with this strain. I am not knocking VB, slower veg time has been the issue with VB from day 1. Now my Sour Bubble clones really like the V+B + Hormone mix in veg, but I think I might add a little more Epsom salt for the ones under LED.
I have a couple massive plants in Flower, they both look great...been getting RO version only for the firstn3 weeks with with a little Epsom salt because she is mag hungry. Starting at end of week 3 I have been watering 1 jug of HD/+SIZE per week until it runs out and then back to RO. They look really good, but I did notice slight tip burn after HD/+Size watering. One is starting week 6 and 1 is starting week 5. Going to drop the HD EC to 1.0, instead of 1.2 then add +SIZE. I am using it at 1/4 tsp per gal. The plants only get a couple waterings per week... Not everyday.
2 Plants of the Same strain, but WAY Smaller, were put into my flower tent about a week ago. Both getting fed RO. AT Day 21 I will put 1 on the HD and keep 1 on RO. Last Side by side the RO version did better with minimal use of +SIZE vs HD. i will now start dropping the EC to 1.0 Hd when combined with +SIZE, because it gave the larger plants tip burn at 1.2 then adding +SIZE. I also have a few more strainsnunder different lighting that just got flipped...I am using RO version at 1.2, and they are next to a few 6/9 plants. Glad to hear the V-H boost helps with SourBubble. l've been growing SB exclusively for 18 months now, and my only real complaint has been the painfully slow veg time. Only plants I've ever had to veg longer than I flower. I've kept seeing the V-H boost mentioned by several members, and decided to order some. I've got some rooted cuts I'll be moving under a 315w cmh soon. I'm hoping the V-H boost + the cmh will speed things up. I'm also running more/smaller plants with shortening the veg in mind. Where are maxing your EC in veg? In flower? Do you supplement the SB with cal/mag? At what point do you stop with the cal/mag? This would all be with v+b RO version only. I don't care for the +size, or "shine powder" as someone aptly called it.

I did a fair sized seed chuck and pheno hunt for my SB, and a few nute side-by-sides as well. I know how much work is involved just in keeping the records for a bunch of different plants/programs.

I veg at about 1.1 to 1.2 EC, then add my Booster. You will notice a jump in vertical growth with booster vs without on your Sour bubble. I actually prefer MaxiGrow at 1.0-1.2 EC then my booster for most strains, but Sour Bubble does really well in veg with with RO/booster. I am adding a little epsom salt with after mixing nutes to proper stregth, Sour Bubble seems to like the extra Mag...especially any ones under LED. I have not fully Flowered a Sour Bubble using RO yet, but have a couple in flower right now..one for a week and one for only 2 days. The day 2 flower plant is getting RO version. The day 8 Sour Bubble is on 6/9 + .magical at 3-5 ml per gal and some hormone booster to help increase the stretch. My Sour Bubble does not stretch much. I have had my Sour bubble for MANY years, so I know what to expect. Will see how SB did with RO version in 8 more weeks or so.
I've got a problem with some shill chiming in about me "hating" and being "misinformed" for questioning the efficacy of HD vs RO in coco, especially when he's the ONLY 1 who thinks HD is the better choice. You implied that mine and EVERYONE else's lack of results from HD, is due to lazy or incompetent growing.

No problem, I have been growing for almost 20 years now. I am not unhappy with my results with my normal regimen, but the only way to know if you can get better results is by trying other products. I am fortunate to have the ability to tinker around with other products. I know what to expect from my normal nutes, so it is not hard to see the differences. I have been toying around with VB of and on for a long while, if I didn't think it had potential...I would not keep trying it on different strains under different lights. In fact, my Space Bomb prefers the RO in flower vs modified 6/9. I was going to get rid of that strain, but it does really well with VB. I will keep messing around with VB...my Space Bomb starts to flower faster with VB. Today is day 14 and she is budding quickly. I will report how the 2 little SpaceBombs are doing in a week.
I just topped all 3 plants that were side by side. It has been a few days since I last reported on them. The middle plant is getting VB and one on each side are getting MaxiGrow. It is easy to see that the MaxiGrow. Plants were taller, but not by a ton...but noticeable. All 3 look perfect, but I am all about fast Vegging...except my Moms. I like the RO version for mother plants. They don't stretch as much.

These 2 girls will be switching nutes at start of flower. One will get a. Modified 6/9 feed and the other will get RO. I wil start them using +size day 21 for 3 weeks, not every feeding..just a couple times per week thru week 6. This strain STINKS, in a good way! Very strong, fruity/cheesy.n it yields very well. It wil puple a lot night temps are low or taken longer. Anyways, it is one of my most potent smelling strains in my gardens. I will be flipping these 2 girls on Sunday. They are in 3 gal airpots, with the bottom raised up...so morenlike 2-2.5gal of coco. They will be under 2 1000 watt HPS lamps. This strain usually goes 9 weeks, but sometimes can finish earlier if under intense lighting. This pheno I have yields very well!
So, Sunday will be day 1 flower. I am excited to see how they do. I will report how they progress

Time is money. I can dose a whole facility in a .25 of the time. easy clean routine. I ran PBP for a minute. Too much weight. I want to move easy through my grow, clean, precise. A scale, a bag, a reservoir,, over and over, the same guy with the same job once a week, got to live and play ! but the push is the true shit anyway

Loving the VB and this thread ill post some photos in the next couple of days of some ladies before the flip. Dan and slow are you guys finding that 1.0-1.2ec is optimal in veg im running 1.0-1.1ec and there loving it with 1-2ml of magical. On flip im going to bump it up to 1.2-1.3 for stretch and cut the magical too. then ill hit em with 1.4 until start of week 5 and tone it down from there. ive read through half the thread so far and just wanted to make sure im not missing anything ? Life is very nice right now and i have more time to focus on other things.

it is with the addition of the vitamin/hormone booster , without out it , slow has better luck in veg with maxi grow , but yeah , a little higher feed might be in order without the V/H .
flower strength seems at a good strength , its what i use .
The Maxi is cheaper, but I wasn't at all happy with the results. V+B has been pretty good to me. I did have my best SourBubble run to date using PBP in flower, but I suspect overfeeding with v+b may be the issue there. I'll need a few more runs with v+b to be sure.

I had to feed at 1.2EC in veg with straight v+b, but Sourbubble is hungry. That was before you got me to add VH and some cal/mag. I've just transplanted some cuts, and I'm going 2.5ml/gal calmg, 2ml/gal VH, and 1tsp v+B for a total of 0.8EC. When the roots come out the bottom of the cubes, I'll add more v+b to get 1.0, hold it there and see how it goes.
