Dan (and others here) thanks for your input in this thread.. I'm on the verge of a simple and impressive way to do things..

Looking at the MBFerts site, the product seems like it has merit, how much is used with V+B, the 7.5 ml/g as indicated or ? Using it thru bloom or something/anything else?

And, Dan.. or anyone else, any experience with other Additives with V+B? Looks like a lot of people are having good results straight as well.

Again, this thread is informative.. thanks for the insight and help.

No i just use the vitamin/hormone boost in veg only , i tried it in flower & it made the stretch even worse ,which for me with limited head room is a bad thing lol .
but yeah i use it at the recomeneded dose .i buy it by the gallon & they concentrate it so it fits in a quart bottle & the dose is 1.75 ml per gallon , i use it at 2ml & my plants love it .

other than using protekt as a PH up , i don't use any other additives , i stopped using PK boosters all together .

Hey Dans,
What EC are you using in veg/flower these days? Also, how often are you running your pump and approx flood time? I am fixin to hook up a drip system, had the parts forever....might as well try it with some RO version, I have a lot laying around. But 6/9 always vegs faster than any of the HR products for me. I have tried all 3, and 6/9 grows faster in veg. RO version was best out of the 3, especially in Flower. I use straight Canna coco, don't waste your time with the Dirty. The RO version made my SDK final product STINK, more than with 6/9. So I will dedicate a tent to the RO version with drippers. Thanks for your help

I tried the V&B for veg also and found that my old regiment of heavy 16 was better in veg. Flower is significantly improved with V&B by itself though.

yeah , alot of folks are finding its not so good by itself in veg . a little vitamins & hormones has helped my veg so that i don't have to use another veg nute .

slow&easy .... i max out at 1.0 EC in veg & max out at 1.4 EC in flower . my pumps feed 3 gallon pots of coco (4 pots per light ) once a day till runoff stops , then i add another 1 minute feed right before lights off & i get runoff again at the lights on feed . the second feed is usually good till they finish flower . it usually takes about a minute to minute & a half to get runoff in my pots using a 396gph pump feeding 4 plants when fed once a day .the second feed at lights on , 30 seconds to a minute is usually enough to sustain them till the lights on feed at night .just make sure your pots never go dry & that theres runoff at least once a day .

:yeahthats

or if your running a calmag hog like sour bubble . even the GG4 needs a little extra Mag in veg .
V&B is a great all around nute , easy to use , don't need alot of it , good PH range when mixed , but its not perfect by any means .

I have a couple plants in flower in 5gal pots of soil using the VB Dirty. Seems to be working well, one of the two plants is blowing up just like my hydro plants, but the other, though it's very healthy, isn't stacking/ filling out the same. It's a gg4.

Any idea if I'm just feeding too low? I'll get a pic up when I can, but like I said, it's perfectly green and happy, but just not filling out very well as the other gg4 plants in hydro are.

I'm feeding at 700-900ppm (7 scale). The soil is a mix of a few organic soil brands.

i'd say your feeding to high & locking it up , especially GG4 , she likes a low dose feed . with the V&B , we've noticed that if your feeding to low in veg , you get all kinds of weird Defs , almost like the PH is outa whack . i feed my GG4 a max of 1.4 EC & she stacks up MUCH better than if its fed a higher dose .

Almost 3 weeks since I cut off my plants in bloom from 6/9 at 1.3ec and feed them 1.3ec of V+B HD. Perpetual, 5 different strains and all at different weeks of bloom. The bottom third of all the plants yellowed up within days of days of starting the HD. Instead of jacking up the ec too much with HD I added 1 ml/gal of micro to stop the yellowing. Things are stable now. I bought 5 lbs of this shit so I'm going to run it for 3 months to finish the container no matter what. I feed with blumats and use a 30 gal res. I start at 6.2ec and by the 3rd day it drops down to 5.5ec. HD is not easier than 6/9 and it isn't cheaper, it's going to take me a few months to see if it produces better results.:tiphat:

I meant 6.2ph and 5.5 ph, brain fart

Thanks for the update brotha!!

I will say I just switched to 6/9 diluted a little bit and notice that my plants are healthier than when I was running veg+bloom. Not dissing this brand but that's my experience. Maybe it's a consistency thing?

Not entirely correct. When using hi-intensity leds it is common practice to add ~ 100ppm Epsom Salt in addition to what's in V + B
thanks i am all LED now and i can see some improvement adding a lil calmag the the V+B...great tip..DJXX

No, 6/9 just does a better job in Veg, period. I have done multiple side by sides. 6/9 grows faster than aNy HR product in veg. Now, I will admit if done right with the RO version the yield was very close to 6/9....but the RO plants seemed to smell better and stronger on final product.

Like others have said...HR products are not perfect. You might have to do some experimentation. However, if you are using coco...avoid the Dirty,, it is a waste compared to the RO version. No density in flower. Good luck

I've found maxi grow at 1/2tsp/gal or 1.0 ec to be just as good or better for veg than 6/9, also cheaper:tiphat:
