EZ for an 8 weeker like SB or most of Bogs gear , i'd stop the plus size at week 5 then 1 week of 1.0 of base then start the leaching , yeah its still some N , but it doesn't seem to matter much with at least a 2 week flush/leaching . why don't i use it till the flush ..... thats a good question . i've always stopped the PK boost a week before leaching & just added a low dose of base to keep the coco happy for that extra week . cuz i leach with straight RO water so that the plants use up everything in the coco before they start feeding off them selves . i tried using the PK up till i leached & it kept the plants greener longer . i don't know the science behind it , but i know what works for me . i like my plants practically dying on the vines by the time i chop them & this method has given me the best results .
yeah slow , i kept them in the 5" pots longer so they'd show sex quicker , my small veg space doesn't have alot of headroom , so they have to show before they hit the lights or i have to top them again . if ya see in the last pic .... i'm pretty much maxed out now . & they're just starting to show , i have 11 that are unconfirmed yet . so i'll deal with some defs from getting rootbound , but its better than wasting coco on transplants of males that will get chopped anyways .i'm using 2 gallon pots this round cuz i'm throwing 9 into flower instead of just 4 . 9 three gallon pots won't fit in my tray . after this round & i pick my keeper/s i'll do a run in 3 gallon pots with 4 plants & a couple months of veg time with topping & training . these were only topped once & let grow to see how they respond .
i'll more than likely have to feed the 2 gallon pots more often , but its coco & thats fine , i can just adjust the timers so i get runoff every time .
