EZ for an 8 weeker like SB or most of Bogs gear , i'd stop the plus size at week 5 then 1 week of 1.0 of base then start the leaching , yeah its still some N , but it doesn't seem to matter much with at least a 2 week flush/leaching . why don't i use it till the flush ..... thats a good question . i've always stopped the PK boost a week before leaching & just added a low dose of base to keep the coco happy for that extra week . cuz i leach with straight RO water so that the plants use up everything in the coco before they start feeding off them selves . i tried using the PK up till i leached & it kept the plants greener longer . i don't know the science behind it , but i know what works for me . i like my plants practically dying on the vines by the time i chop them & this method has given me the best results .

yeah slow , i kept them in the 5" pots longer so they'd show sex quicker , my small veg space doesn't have alot of headroom , so they have to show before they hit the lights or i have to top them again . if ya see in the last pic .... i'm pretty much maxed out now . & they're just starting to show , i have 11 that are unconfirmed yet . so i'll deal with some defs from getting rootbound , but its better than wasting coco on transplants of males that will get chopped anyways .i'm using 2 gallon pots this round cuz i'm throwing 9 into flower instead of just 4 . 9 three gallon pots won't fit in my tray . after this round & i pick my keeper/s i'll do a run in 3 gallon pots with 4 plants & a couple months of veg time with topping & training . these were only topped once & let grow to see how they respond .
i'll more than likely have to feed the 2 gallon pots more often , but its coco & thats fine , i can just adjust the timers so i get runoff every time .

For a "heavy feeding, 8week strain", Chris advised me to use the +size from days 21-49, and to cut the base when "pistilate production slows". Pistil production drops off between weeks 6 and 7 with my phenos. I'm still working out exactly what I'm going to do for the last 3 weeks. Just my:2cents:

I hear ya , no 2 people do the same thing & thats fine . every environment is just that different . like i said , the info i've been giving is just a base line to work from & what has been working for me . that doesn't mean it'll work in your rooms .

Most PK boosts are only given for a short period (some only given once ) & then dropped & just the base nute continued till the flush & chop , chris is suggesting that we use the plus size for a 3 week period , that kinda goes against everything i've learned , but maybe theres something different about his mix that requires it to be used more . like a lower concentration of PK ..... don't really know . but it does seem to be working as suggested & i'm not getting any lockout like i have with other PK boosts .

so basicly its up to the user to decide how they want to incorporate the plus size . i've always gone on the side of less is more & NEVER feed full strength of anything till you see how plants react to it .

I've used it v+b this time with great success. I am looking forward to getting everything dialed in to see what will come.

Starting week 7, day 43. I stopped the +size Sunday. Here's a full garden shot and some lower bud shots, can't believe the lowers are like this. I used just over 2 pounds of v+b for this run for a 1000w 5x5 grow space with 12 plants, will do one more res change then flushing, will do a final update at harvest. This v+b is legit, expensive, but legit. I can't say one bad thing about the product. I used the +size from day 21-41. I'm walking the EC down from 1.2 (currently at 1.15). Will be doing a 10ppm drop daily until harvest for 10 week strains. Hope any of this info helps yall. Have a good week. tmp_25142-20150105_201128-1610951039.jpg

Fellas, i have read about 90 pages and still not clear if this stuff is legit? I run rockwool cubes on top of crutons recirculating. Found out about this stuff on IG, found this thread looking for more info and i'm confused as ever.

I really like the sounds of how simple the one part is. I wanted to use this on my next run with GG4... anybody running it with glue? If so how much? It will be my first try with glue and hear it doesn't like a lot of nutes?

Kinda skeptical running new strain and nutes. Maybe there's some info from pages 90-current? Haven't made it that far yet sorry.

I don't think we'd be at page 142 if it wasn't "legit". I'm admittedly on my first run with v+b(day 38), but my plants look/smell better than ever.

GG4 likes a lighter feed in order to stack & fill out . anything over 1.4 EC will lock them up & they won't finish to their potential . BTDT !

this stuff is legit as it gets ! there were some haters & nay sayers back in the begining & HR had a bad batch go out , but all thats been cleared up & alot of the haters have moved on . if you doubt the product , try a sample on one plant & see for yourself .

I am going to give V+B another shot now that I know how my GG4 likes to act. I am flowering her in sunshine #4 this time. I have both dirty and ro. I will be using ro water. Any recommendations on which one I should be using with soil? Caps bennies once a week until week 5 as well. +size will be used week 3-6

thanks, dh

if you hand feed every day go with the Dirty , cuz the PH seemed to rise over night when i used it in a rez , plus it left sediment in the bottom , but if your on driplines & pumps , go with the RO formula , it mixes cleaner & the PH stays pretty steady over a 4 to 5 day period .
thats the results i had with both .

Right on, yeah I will be hand feeding every 2-3 days. Probably going to go like 50/50 or 75dirty/25ro. Not sure yet.. Anyone have experience with mixing the two for handwatering in soil? Also can you mix the two together before adding to res??? Ideally I would like to mix bulk and then just measure out from there..

no not me , sorry :shucks:

but i guess thats why Chris made the HD formula , cuz people were mixing the 2 & getting great results . don't quote me on this , but i think it was a 50/50 mix of dirty & ro formulas . :dunno:

i believe 4parts Dirty to 1part Tap = HD or something similar

if i was using sunshine mix i would use RO in veg and Dirty in flower, wouldn't really mix them if hand watering.

lets talk about GG#4 V+B nutrient regimen... maybe dans the one to look to on this. would like to know myself.

I think whiteberrieS has experience mixing and hand watering. I think he was in coco though.

I wouldn't mix it I don't think. I'd probably get the ratios out of whack. But I also have a tub of each formula too.

Personally I would run dirty in your soiless mix. Hand watered as needed. I'm running it now in sunshine. Be careful about feeding the last of a bucket. It's caught me a couple times.

Per Chris, HD is for coco and dirty was for soils/soilless mixes. I think you could use tap or RO in any systems.

That's what I was told. Hope that helps.

You should use the dirty in Sunshine alone without mixing it. Thats the media it was designed for, both sunshine and pro mix will have no ph problems with the dirty alone I've been E-mailing Chris about this very subject for over a week now! I have a bunch of the Dirty to use up and i'll be doing that with sunshine mix. In my water the dirty runs about 6.5 ph all by itself and thats about perfect for plants in a peat based growing media from what i hear! I haven't done this myself yet, my bale of sunshine mix is on the way and ill start in a couple of weeks.

whatcha need to know JJfrank ? its a light feeder in flower more so than veg . 1.3 is the most i'll give her now , cuz i locked it up a couple of times going over that .
in veg she likes a little extra Mag ..... other than that is a easy strain to grow . will take to topping & training very nicely .
