I use a smartpot, zip-tied around my pump, as a filter. as for the VB, sprinkle it , like powdered sugar o-n a donut, while your pump is on. I also get more dust when I'm not changing out my water filters on a reg basis.
+size is .3EC 1g/gal, spray it on all my gals now too and tip growth is thicker and stronger then anything I've seen. I foliar at .3EC

So i have 5 pounds of dirty and would like to use it but i only grow in coco! And i know do the 50% - 50% mix with the Tap/Hard formula but i'm not going to do that! I will buy the H/D asap but in the mean time does anyone have any ideas about a good peat mix? Pros and Cons? i just hate having to adjust my ph as much as i do with the dirty in coco! I know this is a great nutrient and a great company to use. Chris just rocks every time i contact him wish i could smoke a joint with him! Anyways guys some advise would be great.

Quick question regarding +Size additive...
I'm currently 9 days post 12/12 flip, feeding veg+bloom HD base at 1.2EC which is the highest I've fed so far. Should I keep feeding at 1.2EC until 3 weeks in and then start adding +size? I'm seeing minor pistil growth right now.
Can anyone give a recommendation on how many ppm of size to add at week 3? Would it make sense to drop my base back to 1.0EC and then add +size back up to 1.2, or should I keep the base as-is and add +size to push the EC up even higher?
I think I'm confusing myself with measurements by weight vs EC. I haven't measured anything by weight, just by EC. So when I see 1 to 2 grams per gallon on the container, it doesn't mean much to me. I did see a previous post where someone mentioned 1gram of +size came out to 125ppm. Is this accurate? Perhaps cut 125ppm out of my base and add 125ppm of +size at week 3?
Also, would it make any sense to start adding +size slowly? For example, adding 50ppm of +size starting today and hitting a full dose at week 3?

the plus size doesn't add much EC to the final tally when added , but i still cut my base back to 1.0 or 1.1 when adding the plus size , just to be safe .

do you have anything other than the dirty formula ? if you have the tap or hard water formulas you could use either of them till the HD comes in . otherwise just use the dirty , but mix & hand feed with it right away to avoid the PH fluctuations .
So if i mix and feed right away i can flower with it? wouldn't the ph in the media be to high over time? My plants are in a scrog right now so i wont be able to flush them out.

So, you only run it for one week? Every day?
I recall seeing some posts from others saying they run it until flush at the end increasing the ratio of size:veg+bloom until they are just feeding size at the end. I've also seen recommendations to not use more than 3 consecutive days.
HR suggests running it from weeks 3-7.
So much varying information out there!

yup , i run it from week 3 to 6 then feed at 1.0 for a week after i'm done with the plus size ,then leach till the chop .

i'm running some SB crosses right now & they're needing a higher EC than anything else i run . they're still in veg & they're getting 1.4 & asking for more . also had to add some epsom salts for a mag def that showed on a couple .
so yeah , the feeds i've been saying in this thread are a base line . it'll need to be tweeked for hungry or light feeders strains of course .

the couple that are asking for some Magnesium ..... pretty sure its a rootbound problem more than a def , cuz they're in 5" pots waiting on sex to show so i can transplant the females . these were transplanted the same day the pic was taken & they're starting to look better only after 3 days .

I'm in week 5, giving my SB .4-.5 +size, then adding base to make 1.6...they seem to like it. I'm going to keep them at this feed thru week 6, feed just +size @ .5, for week 7, then flush for week 8. We'll see how it turns out. Why do you stop the +size at the end, and go on with base? Cutting the N first seems like a better idea to me.

sour bubble does not like small pots....it will stop growing. But give it plent of root space and she will grow nice and big, a lot faster! Only strain I have that is root bound sensitive so badly. Up pot brother!
I have to clone and transplant mine tonight infact. Use a 3 gal pot, she will grow much better
