Hey daddy fingaz, two last pics are from France. The pictures before are Belgian fish.
I love catching biggies in France but nothing beats a victory near home.
We have lots of decent fish in pur local waters/canals but its often to crowdy around here.
Thats why i prefer France for the longer sessions.I love the space(so do my 2 dogs ) and weather in France.(and the carp of course hehe)

Next pics are all Belgian fish.:yeahthats
I also found a couple pics of my bread-surface fishing.
Brings up memories of the adrenaline seeing them aproaching and taking the hookbait.
Good catches all.

Just found out Benson, britains biggest ever common carp has died, she was very well known and reached 64lb at top weight!! RIP.

So sorry to hear that.
I feel with you guys, the lost of such a beautiful fish is really sad.
Benson must be the target fish for many anglers for years and i think these guys must have a hard time at the moment. I'll light one up for them.

I hope the uncooked nuts were from a beginner who made a mistake and not an tactic cause that would be real :fsu:.

Not quite sure how I missed the carping thread!

This summer has been a shambles for me, I have been far too busy to find time for fishing. Today was my first session of the season, and wouldn't ya know it, we blanked! Now I've got my licence I'll make sure I get value from it though. If anything noteworthy pops up ill post a coupla pics.

I went back to the same venue on Thursday, determined to make amends. Caught one carp, which was important for me as it broke the season's duck. No stopping me now!

I watched two other guys absolutely destroy the place on The Method too, so I'll be back with a massive tub of particle/groundbait and some spare feeders soon!

asian carp are popping up around my neck of the woods, bad deal.....all you gotta do is get a baseball bat or a bow and arrow, fuckers jump when your boat or a barge goes by. not a lot of people skiing these days!

Done two overnighters and blanked twice.Im planning some more for the next week.

Congratz on your first fish McSnappler,im sure more will follow.
I love fishing the method way but its more effective without groundbait overhere, just using maggots.
On longer sessions i try to fish these over a large bed off uncooked, germed hempseeds.(i spray them on a wet blanket and cover them with another one.I keep this wet 7-10 days by that time large white sprouts are coming out of the seeds.Carp love those.:laughing:)

Big catches on your next sessions all.

Was only a littleun, barely a double.. was more the catch that mattered though!

There are one or two big fish waters near here that I need to spend some time on, a couple of 48 hour sessions are in order asap.

Managed to get out for a few hours on the bank last night just on a small local runs water, winkled a few out using my trusty stick mix.
Had a few from the near margin but sum guys (numpty) kids were running up and down the bank so that didnt help matters, had a rod tight on a far margin bush but after a few Heinekens and psychosis reefers my casts were startin to land in the bush!!
unfortunetly didnt get anything decent just a few upper singles!!

Pisses me right off. I'm quite quiet, do my best to be stealth, then some dick will decide nows the time to hammer his tent pegs with a fucking mallet. I manage to get my brolly in the ground without one bang, so how is it you can't put in some pegs without registering on the richter scale?

Not posted for a while as i've been desperately trying to get a new membership at a syndicate water and it's proving quite hard to get on a good water. I think i've managed it now so hopefully if all goes well i'll have fished it within 2 weeks and can post up some pics. It's a lovely, underfished water with carp up to 25-30lbs.

Last few months have been pretty quiet locally for carp so have been tench fishing a lot, caught quite a few but have avoided carp fishing as the day lakes are all full of 20-27's bombing bait and relentlessly setting off their own optics to make it look like a run! this new lake should yield a return to good catches so there may even be some nice pics. I believe it's all english carp there so i have high hopes.

Went their last week and have never seen so many fish all feeding off the surface with no fear! Cant wait!!!!

That left lines hella tight! That mist is lovely though, must be just after sunrise? I do love those moments.

Are those bamboo's in the middle area? Looks like snag city in there, any big fish lurking in them?

was just as i woke up . around 5.45am last summer . yer all 3 lines were tight loads of weed in the margens . was useing crab line back leads too . im the back ground its a man made island clay and wood stakes . around 60 meters away .. had most of the fish at 55meters were it drops off from the island.
did 48hs and had 34 carp and 2 tench . from 7lb to 19lb all on fake sweetcorn . and spodded mix around 15 kilos of it lol .

I'm quite getting into the faked baits. I've stopped buying boilie stops now and just add a sweetcorn after the boilie, adds colour and holds the bait on much better than the stops do. Have only had one come off so far so it's pretty effective.

That island does look like a place carp would like, they enjoy snaggy areas like that. I saw a bloke once add a balloon to his end tackle and cast onto an island, he then reeled back and popped the ballon to exposed the tackle. Never seen anyone else use that method but he was getting 3-6 inches off the bank each time, never snagged once and was catching twice what everyone else was managing.
