I tell him next time out try to find some skunk dog. Holiday weekend he rushes over to exclaim yo I had that skunk dog its was great stuff. I look to him and say bring any back and ..he says naw ....

Well, If you had been paying attention, I told you this was gonna happen. It ain't like I have any inside track either, it's just for like the last umteen years in a row, you get the "big" Green Harvest the week after Labor Day.
And sure enough, Wensday morning, bright and early, here they come, out of the blue. No warning, no call, just Hello! We're here! I even warranted a complete 360. All the way around the yard, standing on the skid.... they saw nothing.... extreme.
I could hear them, "They were here last week, a whole shitload!"
That was last week dude. This week I am right on my numbers. Neat how that works huh? Keepin' busy.
As promised Labor Day weekend was a goatfuck of absolutely epic proportion. It started around 10 AM sunny and hot, and ended at dusk in the rain. Three days in a row.
Hang on. I gotta beat a dead horse. To those who have already heard this speech, sorry.
I have no crew, I have no staff, or even a one armed midget helping me. There are no trimmers, no helpers, even my worthless wife is doing her own trip and can NOT be bothered with all the shit that hits the fan this time of year, except to bother starts and cash off of me that just seem to appear out of the mist. The ENTIRE parade consists of just me. And, I will bitch endlessly about this fact until payday when I smile and get real quiet.
Just the way it is......
For most of you guys on the Mainland, Labor Day is the big wrap it up signal. We should be so lucky. Here it means time to move. The sun track is heading South, and places that were shaded are now sunny, and sunny places are falling into the new shade. Draw a line down the center of my gulch. From now on the left side is planted in clover and put to sleep for the next six months. As new plants magicly come online, they go to the right side, just waking up from a six month nap. Better yet, all this happens at the same time that giant pile of harvested weed somehow trims itself.
The rain didn't help the final yields any. Last year I was getting almost 7 grams of wax from 30 grams of Skunkdog sugar trim. Now I am averaging less than 5. Yields of flowers are on average 2 ozs per plant less than last year.
And Winter is coming up with all the rain, and the tiny yields too.
There may be some hope. NOAA is out with their predictions for Winter. What I have been telling you, they now agree with me. Wet Summer, we got that. El Nino chances are 95%. They seem to think from November on it should be dry.
Kaabon..... I can tell you the way they used to work. They used to sit on a greenhouse with the chopper wash tugging at it until a rip started. Then they land and take. They can't get away with that shit anymore. I think they can look in freestanding greenhouses, but if it is connected to the house they need a warrant.
Automatik..... Welcome aboard. Now where the fuck did you and Surfed get Skunkdog from? I may have an idea. With great power comes great responsibility. Many can't handle it. The truly evil will want to whore it out.

about time right. It's my rental yard that the owner actually wants me to grow in. Semi dry with a lil breeze. Brought a few more out of A5 Haze bx1 an next week a bunch more Jack O Hazia's both from Karma Genetics I'm testing.Here's a couple A5 Haze bx1's

That plant looks awesome, the bud structure on it is amazing, it looks much different then other skunkdawg I have seen here at IC.

there is a reason why...
A bradda (a friend of the guy i got mine from) that's involved with the family that created the Skunkdawg clone has been providing trays of "skunkdawg" to growers (100's of cuts each guys, not small time two or 3 plant orders) all over the island. Those "skunkdawgs" have been going around, and guys with them have been sharing them with their boys with empty holes... and those boys are sharing them and so on and so on... not everyone will be able to notice the difference. Especially if you don't know. So not really a big deal yeah hahahaha.
I First saw the "almost skunkdawg" 6 months ago in an order of skunkdawg clones some boyz ordered for their garden. I commented on how much more vigorous and stout the bradda had the plants and made me question what I was doing with my own Skunkdawg (because mine grows different). I got a few from the boys and while they flowered theirs i did mine - a little "skunkdawg" and skunkdawg side by side. Oldhaole came over one day and I showed him the two - HE WAS THE FIRST ONE TO TELL ME "Close but no cigar - but this one is different". Hmmmm. It had a similar blade leaf growth, had greasy resin, and had a similar smell. But was stouter. weird. Flash forward to the end of that plant's cycle, and lo and behold, "skunkdawg" and Skunkdawg were similar, possibly the one was a cross of the other, and it was close, but its not it. The boys finished their order... and we all had the same conclusion - NOT SKUNKDAWG. The boys made another order of clones from the bradda though (because it is a good plant and folks are buying up the flowers! ...and they needed the holes filled!) and again, they got plants that didn't quite look like the skunkdawg they had been doing previously. At least they knew what to expect...
A few weeks later, our buddy Casper808 calls and says an uncle had given him a "Dog" plant. Beautiful plant. Stout. Similar leaf traits as the Skunkdawg & a SkunkdawgxBlackIndica he had growing... maybe it was the "Dog". Looked different than what I had seen, but you know how different environments are and expressions - so "could be". I made a bunch of clones of it, rooted all but one, and we both have been watching them grow. I am pretty sure Casper will read this and let us know what he got is in his opinion not Dog/dawg and not Skundkawg too. I could be wrong - been wrong before... and thats what I have a big shaker of salt for my crow in the freezer (just in case). But he knows his pot. And he can sense subtle differences. I am thinking he is going to agree with me about it being not "'dog" or "'dawg" (I think the "skunk" part was simply abbreviated when it was passed), nor is it skunkdawg... but close enough to skunkdawg that if you didn't know you wouldn't know. The family Casper got his "'dog" from orders clones from the same braddas doing the clones my boys got...
so......... Whatcha think Casper?

So what is it thats going around as Skundawg that isn't skunkdawg?
3 maybe 4weeks ago I found out from the bradda rooting the trays (go to the the source for information its more reliable, right?) what he was delivering was in fact not really the skunkdawg (or 'dog/'dawg), but a sour afghani cross (fuck i forgot what they crossed it with!!! was not skunkdawg though and not galactica either....which i thought. damn). The switcher-roo was not being done intentionally (I was told) - but they had a cross they were testing they were calling the "Kes-Dawg" (a sour afghani cross with something - i forgot the cross...) that was rooting like a champ. So out it went. Its marketable flowers. Very. No complaints from the guys growing it. Its just not the same as Skunkdawg.

While i was being told stuff (like "it was not intentional to mislabel or mislead") I broke out my some of my Skunkdawg and smoked it with the bradfa... one look at mine, and I quote, "oh, you have the real one! Nice!". SO... wtf I have the "real" one. hahaha like there's an imposter he knew about????? maybe it was not unintentional to start mass rooting and passing off an "almost" skunkdawg. know what I mean?
All that said I know there is Skunkdawg on the Big Island, and its been there for a while - the guys who first got it there were tight with the bradda here - shared/traded dogs chickens plants whatever, so they've had it since 02/03. it makes me curious where/who other sources are for those that are more recently acquiring it...
Because there's a chance it might not be what those sources thinks it is.

I wonder what they crossed it with? I'm one of the boys with the "skd" .......well I call it "kula skd". It has a better structure, stronger branching than the original I have. Smell is super close as well as looks. But it's just not the original.
If I could find out what they crossed it with id like to make my own. I am keeping it around though because it is good flower. Easy to grow and handles the mold. The original skd is a mainstay. I can't grow it anywhere near the size of yours but keep it cuz the dank it produces.
"Kula skd" had me second guessing myself too that somebody had way healthier version of the original and was supplying me with a more vigorous version of my favorite plant. It just doesn't Finnish the same as the original does. I'll post some pics of the week 12 ones I got ready to come down soon. In the end you and OH are right. It's just not the same. But really really similar. I'm sure the skd name will be whored out till it becomes the new Maui Wowie lol.
