Chicago’s 67,000 reported major crimes last year were 41 percent higher than in 2021 and already this year they’re up 58 percent. For the 11th-year running, Chicago led the nation in murders in 2022 – with 697. Crime on public transit is also badly out of hand. Making things worse, major crime arrest rates in Chicago averaged just 5 percent. And 400,000 times in 2021 there were no police to respond to high-priority 911 calls. Time and again Chicago under Mayor Lori Lightfoot has resembled the Wild West. It’s no wonder people are protecting themselves forcefully.

This is certainly an issue filled with strong emotions going both ways. And I agree, some ppl plain don't like guns and that's cool, just don't vote to take my stuff.

Rule of law broken today. Defunding not helping. Today no morals and two tier justice system. Got the money? You get sentence reduced or no bail. At least in the banana republic that used tb us.
Manslaughter at least; he did pull the trigger and he did kill someone because of that action. He's not a kid, he should have known better. Take the emotion out of it and put back the law.
And really, more ppl dying from cancer, cardiac, car accidents, fentanyl and now more deaths from mRna vaccine than gun stats.

There are no winners if nukes are used. All involved know this. Nukes will never be used. Russia doesn't have the resources to rebuild its munitions stockpile. They can't even build their own drones. Russia is not in a good position after starting its war. The pipelines were already offline. The Russians were counting on the Europeans eventually getting weary of going without their cheap gas. The ability to turn the tap back on was Moscow's best bet to undercut Western support for Ukraine.

Ukrainians had the most to gain from blowing up this multi-billion dollar, Russian-owned pipeline. Russia poses a threat to them, so they are willing to do almost anything to win. They knew they couldn't win without a strong and united NATO behind them, and they knew the alliance would be vulnerable as long as Russia could leverage its gas against Germany.

Ukraine has multi NATO countries helping not just the USA. If they do have labs you can bet the USA runs them. They have 2 choices, fight or roll over and let Putin take over their country.
