Afghan Kush Ryder not flowering yet

Unlucky stuff. Seriously search the web for anything possible about a seed bank. Then make your decision of what to by.

There was little to no info on World of Seeds autos on the net, even with a pretty thorough search. I got them because of the $ and decided to be a guinea pig and test these out.

Still no budding. There are more preflowers around the top though.

That info is wrong. I copied and posted the info from their site a few pages back. It's an unstable strain as evidenced by the people on this thread growing it out not a stable autoflowering variety as they claim. I was speaking of information on actual grows, not the info on their site. I read that and it's obviously been put through a translator. The site even spells ruderalis wrong. My seed pack spelled Afghan "Afgan."

Flowering Afghan's

Flowering Afghan's

I currently have 5 Buddha White Dwarfs and 5 Afghan Kush Dwarfs going. I started with all feminized seeds from Attitude. The White Girls are busting out buds. The Afghan's are starting to really go as well. I would not worry about your afghans as they seem slower all around. They are all bushy and about 10-12 inches tall. The plants over all look great. They were planted on 4/7 in 3.5 gall pots with organic soil, 1 lb of bat guano, 1 lb of worm castings, 30% sand, and perlite per bag of soil. I foliate feed them kelp and Advanced Nutrients Big Bud. I water once a week with the first time having root stimulater per directions and then half strenth after that at each watering. The root stim brings my water to a ph of 6.5. I wish I had pics to show and will work on that. They are impressive with about a month to go figuring at 10 weeks. Hope this helps anyone as it seems to work so far. Oh and my lights are Indoor Sunshine 30 watts equivalent to 150 watts. I have 8 that equal 240 Watts and 13,740 lumens per manufacturer. Just another bit of info. Some of the dwarf providers say that light cycle does not matter. One said 24 hours on is fine. So, I tried it. My plants were working to hard and slowed their growth. I went to a 20/4 and they exploded. Now at the halfway point, I am going to 18/6. Good luck everyone!

Need to see pics. I have pretty tight grow with 80% ff soil and 20% perlite, ph adjusted water tested with a pen, soil moisture meter, feed lightly with ff nutes, air cooled 400 watt MH and HPS lighting, temps are about 75-77 for a high and about 68-69 for a low, humidity stays around 50%. Plants are in 2 gallon pots and have not been transplanted and the light cycle was 20/4 until I changed it 2 days ago to 12\12. No sign of flowering, only preflowers. I don't think you are talking about seeds from World of Seeds. You are talking about lowlife seeds I believe. WAY different. The seeds in question came from the Attitude also. I have not found anyone whose World of Seeds autoflowers worked. They grow great, look nice, stink up the place...but don't auto. Not saying you're wrong, just need to confirm the seed company and see some pics.

Dwarfs

Dwarfs

Hey Radar,
The Afghani's are World of Seeds. And I agree, they are very fast growing yet lack the bud production that my Buddha White Dwarfs exhibit. When first planted, they took off like wildfire. Lots of leaves and very bushy. At one point they were twice the size of the White Dwarfs. Now the White Dwarfs have surpassed the Afghan's in buds and size. They are beyond the pre-flower stage and will hope that the Afghani's buds grow big. Will see if they take longer to mature. All I can do is give them time and see.

Mine is flowering now, albeit in a retardedly slow manner. It's lazily shooting out a few more preflowers every day, especially around the tip top of the plant. There were a good amount up there when I checked her today. Not great news, but not bad either. However, this is not what I envisioned when I decided to partake in the autoflower phenomenon.

Gonna have the real deal in about a week. Got some Joint Doctor's Dieselryders on the way. I'm also getting a new autoflower called Quicksilver from G13 Labs as a freebie. Here's the description on it:

G13 Labs Quicksilver Feminised Autoflowering Seeds

Quicksilver is named for her autoflowering capabilities and her unreal tight glistening resin crystals that cover her well formed perfect buds, which are like a layer of pure silver. Quicksilver has great advantages for growing indoors and out due to her being auto-flowering, she will start to flower according to her age rather than the give light cycle.

Quicksilver normally begins flowering around 6 to 8 weeks.

Not to be confused, Quicksilver does not qualify as a dwarf cannabis strain, however she will never grow out of control!

Packs of 5 and 10 feminised Cannabis Seeds available.

This quicksilver plant from G13 reportedly starts flowering in 6-8 weeks which is what I'm seeing with this Afghan Kush Ryder, so maybe it will turn into a bud machine after all.

but like 6-8 weeks you mise just well get a reg strain you know? kinda loses its purpose..good luck man..maybe you can cross the dr with the g13 see how that turns out.

Yeah, I know. For outdoors only growers though, it can be a way to get a harvest May-August however, depending on location and when you plant. All autoflower varieties have their uses, especially if you don't have a good indoor setup.

For people new to growing, it's a way to experience what it's like to daily take care of a plant and see the growth cycle in a condensed time frame. For those like me, who are only familiar with outdoor guerilla plots with only sporadic maintenance, it's a good way to transition to tending an indoor setup. You get to see the life cycle more up close instead of in spurts. Instead of going back to the guerilla plot and being like, "whoa, these plants look totally different than the last time I came out here" it's a more gradual learning experience.

I'd prefer smaller, faster yeilding plants though. They get too big if they veg longer, ruining the discreet aspect of autoflowers. I have a 2 foot and growing bushy beast and discrete it's not. I was imagining something the size of a 2 liter bottle, lol.

So its not a true AF ?

Sounds like more and more places selling AF's that are not true AF's. Of course this was a freebie but they still call it a autoflower.

I would almost say from now on if you see a new Autoflower that is unknown and new I would email the company and ask is going to flower on 24/7.

I mean once they get your money you are pretty much SOL.

Even with threads and posts saying its not a true AF they are still going to sell a lot of them.

It flowers independent of light cycle. Just with a longer vegetative state. It sounds exactly like these Afghan Kush Ryders. 2 months of vegetative growth then flowering, regardless of whether there's 12 hours or not. Longer veg isn't desireable but you can get your harvest in June if timed right. This Kush Ryder is flowering now all over the plant and it's almost June. We're at about 14 hours of light per day right now.

I'm going on a trip for a week and will have to hide this monster. Does anyone think it will hurt the plant if it's in a shady spot under some trees for a week? It will get filtered sunlight, but not the full sun it's used to.

Will shade kill a plant? I don't care if it herms or if growth slows.

if it is a true auto flower or a normal plant shade is not going to harm it...

Hey stoner, glad to hear you're having some success with these plants. I ended up pulling my grow. I think a 2 month veg time for indoors is too much with an autoflower. It might be a great thing for an outdoor grow if you know the time frame going in, probably end up with more weight at the end. I just think 2 months is too long when compared to a regular strain with proven genetics and results. Already have Easyryder and Lowryder #2 popping through the soil. They should be done in about 9 weeks...just like an auto should :)

My Lowryder #2 is 6 weeks old and I have only identified one out of 10. Pretty strange. It's outdoor. I'm switching to bloom nutes now. Maybe this'll do something.
