Panama day 58

Panama day 58

Swelling a bit, and great lemon tart smell if I touch her. I wonder how long she'll go?

Clones and seedlings: 3 next generations

Clones and seedlings: 3 next generations

Next to flower are the 6 biggest: 4 big Panama 1 clones, 1 Tikal 1 clone, 1 Nepjam 1 clone.

Next generation; (7 small ones in fence) 3 Bangi Haze, 2 nice, dark Panama, one GT and 1 smaller Nepjam 1 clone, small Nepjam 2 clone outside fence, not shown.

Seedlings; 3 more GT, one of which was almost killed by a mouse, twice, and she's looking good now;) 2 Panama and the biggest is Humboldt truthband 707 fem.

No pics of flowering plants today, but I checked their dates and they are at 66 days flower (Panama and Tikal 1), 52 for Nepjam from reg, and 33 days for Nepjam fem. Tikal 2 is somewhere @60 days.

Flowers under HPS/MH

Flowers under HPS/MH

Some closeups. NepJam is killing it, Panama just keeps putting out new pistils (more the better), Tikal 1 I will take between 11-12 weeks, in maybe 10 days. She's got some swelling to do.

Thanks, Tangwena and Holeshot for looking in! I have much respect for what you guys pull off, so helps give some perspective on the girls I see every day.
The outside girls are amazing at the moment; all 4 Panama clones are preflowering and very happy, and NepJam clones from both mothers are starting to put out pistils already. very nice to see the pink again and all it promises;)

The generation after the clones has been topped and look phenomenal in their 1 gallon pots; all about a foot high and very robust, great colors in all. They look so good that I, who always have a secret favorite, can't choose between the fat, dark and branchy Panama, the thin leaved GT, with great branchy structure and vigor and with pink coloration in her leaf clusters, or ANY of the Bangis, who are all very different and beautiful, each in its own way.

We're mid week 11 with Panama and Tikal 1. Tikal is finishing, though I haven't bothered to look at trichs, and I'll take her out pretty soon to make room (and to have my first taste of ACE gear.) I think the big NepJam will finish next, then Tikal 2, little NepJam and then, finally, the lemony goddess that is this green Panama.
At the moment, 3 of 5 in the tent are getting rainwater w/<200ppm nutrients, mainly humic acid and vit B. I need to get some molasses which'll also help with finishing.

Pics soon, too laazy. Just got 2 kittens, haven't slept in a week

Dude you are going to be blown away by all the primo bud you will have over the next few harvests. Aces gear is the best I have come across so I am very envious. If you dare, try sweat curing a small amount as I describe in my "Malawi style cob curing" thread.
You will not regret it I assure you.

As Tang says mate, these plants really show there true colours outdoors. Very strong and vigorous. Even in just large pots, they grow huge. Love your Panama's.!! Fem is a awesome plant , not overly strong high , but great happy and motivational experience.Im testing Swazi , Ghana and Purple Haze X Malawi indoors. All look like they would grow into monsters Outdoors. Just wait and see how they smoke up.

hey, Tang, you bet I'm gonna cob some of this. Mainly the Tikal and some Panama. Your thread was a huge inspiration;)

Thanks, Holeshot, I love that Panama, too, exactly the type of plant I was looking for. That said, I'm real happy to have 4 more from seed coming along, get a denser pheno;) As for outdoor, I'd love to leave one each of the Nepjam clones in pots where they are.

It's been hot again, not as bad as it was the first time, but dark temps in the 82 range and the Tikals don't like it at all. So much they shot some male flowers, so here's the plan, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

My outdoor girls (clones) are shooting pistils, so in preflower, and the NepJam clone from the little feminized plant is literally forming bud clusters already. It's time to bring in the big girls (4 big Panama clones, 1 tikal) , so I thought I'd take the two finishing Tikals outside at the end of today's dark period @ 8:30pm and see how they react with a double dose of dark and then full sun. If well, I'll leave them a week and take them at 12 weeks, if not good reaction, more hermie or whatever, I'll take em on Monday at 11 weeks. Then I can clean the tent out completely and at least add two Panamas as soon as I'm convinced they're bug free (using green cleaner). The two Nepjams in the tent will be done within two weeks when I'll add the rest of the clones to the tent. I need to check flower dates to be exact, but Panama and Tikal 1 will start 12th week on Monday, Tikal2 is 5 days behind that and NepJam from reg 10 days behind Tikal 2. This NJ will be done in less than a week, I think. This morning I repotted Panama clone 1 in 5 gal, as she was drinking too fast to keep up with, and NepJam fem clone, as she was already flowering in a 2 gal pot. Everyone else looks fricken spectacular. Nicest plants I've ever grown.

I'm also going to replace the 400MH in the big tent with the 2oow LED to supplement the 600 as I think it'll be more beneficial for finishing: much less heat, and then I can use the MH in my small tent over the big Tikal clone. Or I'll experiment with a 130w CMH in there. Should be plenty, believe it or not.

So harvesting 4 plants in the next 2 weeks;) Both NepJams are killer, resisted all my mistakes, the heat, all environmental changes etc... to produce well enough to get a good taste. Panama's prolly got another 4 weeks. I didn't do the Tikals justice, but will with their clones;) I am going to try and keep the NepJam clones outdoor, just one of each, hoping they stay small...ish;)

The 2 generations of plants from seed are doing excellent outdoor. Time for repot for the big ones. That's the news! Pics maybe tomorrow.

Good news all round my friend but dont take the plants by the number of weeks go by the maturity of the flowers, then you will get the full effects. Taken early is a wasted grow imo with sativas, they have not had time to produce there full power.

I second that about leaving as long as you can. They pack on a lot of weight too, in the final weeks .I take mine out of the flower room and put outside in the sun to finish for the last week or two. They pack on the resin and mature very quickly.

Thanks, fellas:biggrin: I'm actually puffing on a test Tikal bud and I was hugely surprised at the potency... and a lightness at the same time.

Tang, thanks for helping put on the brakes;) I was going to take Tikal 1 tomorrow, especially as I'm finding a badly dried bud really potent already, but after Holeshot confirmed the sun'll do 'em only good at this point I'll leave 'em out to yellow a bit more. That also solves a lot of space issues for me right away. I'm putting both NepJams out to finish, too, in a day or so. And they're ready for a week of sun and out, judging by the flowers. Panama has a ways to go and branches getting heavier. That's one great plant. I'm smitten.

I'm hitting all the big clones with Green Cleaner a bunch of times before they come inside. (These are big plants-I could be in trouble;) I cleaned the tent with clorox and the hood of the 600w and man what a difference. I took pics today of everyone outdoor and in, and I'll post 'em tomorrow, starting 12th week flower.

Best news yet, my favorite 5wk old GT is a babe! This is my wet dream plant. Those who declare babehood get repotted right away. And she's big enough to flower for a first run and for taking clones...So she will prolly come in after repot. Pics tmrw

Awesome mate the GT is my hands down favorite, all the phenos I have had have been stella, closely followed by the Panama, and thats only one pheno, I cant wait to pop the rest of my fem Panamas.
The harvests you have coming are going to blow your mind.
I am so envious right now. I have a long wait before my next grow. I cant start till the end of August because of fishing holiday bookings. Such is life, but I am slowly working my way through about 5 years worth of cobs made from Aces primo strains, so I am not exactly suffering he he.

Excellent job deepwaterdude :)

I'm glad you are satisfied with the indoor cycle so far, looks like the yield and quality will be very good. The Panama is indeed the lemony goddess pheno (looks a lotlike its mum),
i'm very sorry to hear the Tikal did hermie a bit at the end, hope it didn't pollinate the other females in the room and that were mature enough at harvest time to try their qualities.

Looks like the outdoor season will be promising too! Best wishes!

Tikals, NepJam 1 harvested, tent full o' Panama

Tikals, NepJam 1 harvested, tent full o' Panama

Thanks, Dubi, Holeshot and Tangwena for your words and for stopping in. I knew this was a tester and taster run, to see if I could grow them at all, and maybe find something I like. And Dubi, you just gave me a huge present by identifying the pheno:woohoo:... it's exactly what I wanted to find from these seeds. Her big clones, grown better in hopefully decreasing heat from now on, should do MUCH better. And I don't know how you find the time to stop in and look at these threads; it's hugely generous and this same spirit shows in your plants. I wanted exotic, great smoke and i got it;)

And Tikal, well, any plant should've hermied under those circumstances; (and I really don't mind having some Tikal/Panama in case that happened) they withstood 90f dark temps for 2 weeks and 68-85f with lights on. They were stunted but healthy when that heat broke, but this second wave after a hopeful cool week of rains broke their spirit, I think. In my tester buds I found 5 small, grey seeds hat look mature and I'm hoping for more;). These plants endured too many environmental shifts to ever settle in and just grow... but they did a bit, and the smoke is GREAT. I count day 1 flower when there are actual clusters of pistils and I was conservative in my count, also to keep me from taking them early:biggrin:, so T1 went 12 weeks and T2 11.5. A gave a good friend a taster and we looked under the microscope and there was quite a bit of amber.

I found the smoke of some quick dried buds firstly, very potent, deep and active, this before I had checked trichs. I was surprised as I smoke big colorado bud all the time. Then it was sunset blood red against the trees, which in itself is awesome to behold, but there was a deep spiritual aspect to the high, a wonder. I had a long talk with my landlord out on the driveway overlooking the desert, quite ripped and conversational. The smoke was Tasty, too. They're drying now with NepJam1, hanging in my 3 x 3. Humidity here is 10% outdoor, so tent slows things down. I cut the big fans off today and the next layer of leaves, after about 48hrs hanging, then cut the branches off and lay them in drying baskets, piled up to be turned once in a while. I'm very curious about the NepJam, but I'm holding back from taking a taste until at least she's smokable.

The Pics this time are mainly of Panama until I charge my other camera and upload some NepJam and OD stuff. The little NepJam is very healthy and enjoying the sun, last wave of pistils dying off.

Harvest Buds; NepJam and Tikals

Harvest Buds; NepJam and Tikals

Chopped NepJam 1 and the two Tikals on the 14th July, having been French in a recent life, and because they were good to go.

Here they is; tikal could have gone longer to fill out a bit, but trichome-wise they were ready. I have only found seeds in the Tikal 2 buds, and they are beauts, quite mature. Of the recent years, Tikal is my favorite smoke; no dullness, deep and spiritual. I didn't even notice how dull other smokes were until I tried this one. NepJam is taking longer to dry, being denser bud, so I no touch.

Next round - the outdoor kids

Next round - the outdoor kids

I took down NepJam fem and Panama two days ago, both with amber. Panama's leaves were browning from the heat and I didn't want anything to effect the buds, so she flowered for 13.5 weeks finally. A ton of popcorn on her, but her main colas are heavy and pretty dense and the whole an amazing lemon cleaner smell. Best yield of any one plant.
NepJam fem clone has been flowering for more than a week OD, and Tikal 1 clone in the tent has been flowering for 5 days. The clones in the tent are all stretching much more than their mothers ever did. 4 plants in a 5x5 and it's pretty much wall to wall in there;)
Of the OD new generation I have a couple of great looking GTs, a couple more less so, two great looking Bangis and their runt sister, and a couple more Panama. The two favorite GTs I think are girls and I'm in love with their leaf shape.

Weed galore . You should love those Bangi's . You too have the green thumb. Where you located?

Thanks, Holeshot. Green thumb, but red mind;) Gotta get myself out of the way to keep things green. I'm in the Southwest US at around 2000m elevation. Tis quite a bit of a garden there, and there are more, just not so interesting yet. The tent is packed, though;)
