A Taste of Africa from Malawi

That was the whole plant. I know it's not much but I really wanted to try these genetics, and don't have a lot of space. My first Malawi plant I gave more space, but it turned out male and in a small setup like mine that means smoking trim waiting to get caught back up. so this time I tried to keep it very small. If it is a keeper then the clones will be much more manageable. It is hard to keep any plant less than 14 inches from seed...Malawi is no exception.

And thanks dubi. I know it's not the prettiest specimen, but I had to give these genetics a try. Hopefully she will reveg so I can run a few from clone and do them some justice. If not, there's more seeds waiting!

Edit. Under 14 inches from bottom of container to top of plant

Hi Herb I meant no disrespect mate I was very high and it just blew me away. The only time I have seen a plant that small was seeds I threw in the bush over winter in very poor soil.
How big is your grow area? and what light did you use? Just asking for reference in case I need to do a micro grow just to sample like you. Did you have it 12/12 from seed?

Tang,

I grow in a small pc case under 3 cfls. Grow area is roughly 18x6x14 inches. I didn't do 12/12 from seed, but vegged for about 1 month under very low wattage and very low nutes in coco. The low light and low nute regiment made the internode space super tight because of leaf loss...about 1/2 inch at max. (Kind of the same principal as defoliating to encourage bud sites, but instead of me pulling them I force the plant to cannibalize them) However it also made the stem bare from the coco up to where I bent the top. The bare branch going up actually has over a dozen nodes. I believe from clone I could control the height without sacraficing all of that wasted space.

Once stretch started to slow, I started to up the nutes so she would stop killing herself. Then she started packing on "the weight" lol

This is my first pure sativa grow attempt so....only gonna get better from here I hope! After a couple more malawis I want to try a thai or golden tiger...

A small New Malawi Killer clone planted in August, still had a bit of time to grow up and to branch out a bit before flowering.

In the pics with approx 25 days of flowering, it spent the first stage of the flowering stretching the branches and producing lots of budsites. Now starting to form colas and good resins.
i thinks my lone mal could be of this line. some resemblance

Here's a budpic of the same New Malawi Killer parental posted previously, at around 25 days of flowering too, but this time growing in soil in guerrilla style.

Just now we have had the worst terrible storm of the year (very strong and heavy rains, hail) and the forecast for the next days is not very promising.
We will see how the season progress but there are already serious damages in all the outdoor spots.

mine is small under leds. buds are good size and resinous in whole another level than i have seen. seem to be very dense buds. pineapple and strong ganja in scent. i got flu so my nose is bit off. breeders pack is next. panama too, and zamaldelica, and golden tiger. no cloning, just go through them and enjoy different expressions of good genetics perhaps.

wow. the extra 8 degrees from there to here makes all the difference. forceflowering could be possibility, or making autoflower hybrid. kudos mac!

Small Ace Plants

Tangwena, Ive been able to grow very small plants from Aces indoor mixed bag from a few years ago. Never had any plants smaller than this at harvest. Was really fun growing these bonzai plants. They started flowering 3 weeks from seed under 12/12.

Best to go by trichome color. I just pulled a cola off of one of my Malawi because it was 80 percent cloudy, 10 percent clear and 10 percent amber. It finished weeks ahead of the other plants in the room.

New Malawi Killer parental plant, flowering outdoors organically, guerrilla style, today with 40 days of flowering. Will try to get better pics next time, very windy day today, but she handle very well the latest storms, 0 mold or damage.

Same parental is being tested outdoors this season in 3 different styles: guerrilla, in pot and in soil.
