a ppk for a 6 plant limit

Av8 u speak of 4 site with 5 lights pattern as #5 on a dice. Is the one 1000 in the middle still MH while the 4 corner hps?
Instead of 4 sites, how about 6 sites with the same lightning setup?
How u think the yield will be 4 vs 6 in that room size?

Having 6 instead of 4 in the same size room IMO wouldn't be good. In this case, less is better.
You could however have a bigger room and gain 3 more plants with 3 more bulbs.

With the extra 2 sites that you want would mean one more bulb but a lot more work of training IMO, especially in the corners where the light wont reach.

Thanks MrB for ur input!
Trying to wrap my head around how I'm about to do this veg with the new setup. I'm confuse how ya can veg in the same room as flower. Wouldnt the lights cycle be on 12/12? So how can it b veg under that circumstances?

What kind of lightning would be best for veg mode?
Rumor has it that bigger stronger lights (1000 & 600) will out perform T5HO in veg. I do notice that when vegging under big light it'll hit tighter nodes. I'm not 100% sure tho since it's all a visual thing.

When u veg in a separate room is the females in its finale bucket/tub n just get move into the flower room when it ready to flip? Or is female getting veg inside a smaller bucket/tub n when ready to flip it'll get transferred into a larger one?

Is it possible to start your own thread as answering a bunch of questions in this one will lead to pictures being culled. (I think)
Come over to mine as I am still learning and I could help answer a few. I don't know if you have read all of the PPK threads that Delta9 has started but it would be a good idea to start a pot of coffee and buckle in for a night of reading. Take notes.

I am going to be flowering in the buckets I am vegging in.

Two rooms. One veg, one flower. Veg in the same pots you flower in. When the plant in the veg room is big enough, pick it up and carry it into the flower room. (Perpetual)

If you run only one room, then veg all the plants up at the same time and flower them all together. (Monocrop)

Do a search for "ppk" in the search bar above and read, read, read.

I'M TYPING IN ALL CAPS TO REMIND ALL OF YOU THAT I READ THESE (AND OTHER) FORUMS FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR BEFORE I TOUCHED A PLANT OR POSTED ONCE.

We're all newbies in the beginning. Questions are no problem just so long as you have made a concerted effort to research the answer first. I like being told the right answer, too, but it doesn't teach you anything. It's best to find info via research then come here and ask for clarification. This isn't directed at anyone specifically. Just putting it out there. Again, the point isn't that no one wants to answer questions, but rather that it benefits the inquisitor more to do the hard work on his/her own so that you actually learn something.

Thanks a lot for the info guys!! I do read a lot of forums but just don't ask questions as I'm not good with putting thoughts n words into sentence.
Well thanks again, I'm gonna start putting in work to learn n hopefully be able to help out other people like u guys!

I third what Av posted. I also read the few ppk thread that were around in '12 and '13 while i was building my room. Easily spent a year reading the old pictureless and barely pictured threads. I even chose to go coco DTW my first run because of Schraderless tire valves..... what? So after a couple of DTW grows i built my McPpk system. By then i had some growing experience and i completely understood the PPK principles. Running it and growing big plants is easy for me now but ive had alot of normal struggles and you will too.

My advice is to start your own threads on IC and engage with whomever you end up buddying up with and the kindred spirits youll find. Youll likely get better quality info from the chaps that get interested in your scene. If i had severe dyslexia and couldnt read well i would start a thread explain my situation and post some pics and broadcast a plea for help. My thread would be littered with volunteer help here at ic i imagine.

Also, realize that there are other forums which have tons of people (literally tons of people, i weighed them once) which love topics like lighting or fixture choices and youll get better perspective on some questions.

Not to warn anyone away from this thread or discourage participation. Its pretty easy to research PPK on ic nowadays actually so read on dear fellows.

I dont really know about your tailpipe but the res should be fine. If u feed like most of us you are only moving a gallon per feed event...

Will 27 gal res be enough for 4x 7 gal over 5 gal bucket pulse wave feed with 1.5 tailpipe?

I use a 27 gallon res in a 12 site system all with 7 gallon tops over 3.5 gallon bottoms. I haven't used a 1.5" tailpiece on a 7 gallon tub though. I use 2".

MrK so ur saying that, once the pump kicked and turned off the volume amount is only 1 gal per feeding?
What's the idea water per feeding for wave pulse?

Im saying many of us feeding the 7gal tubs of media feed approx 1 qt to each site. 4x1 = 4 qt = 1 gal per feeding. Thats how much is being circulated and is what flows back to res less losses from feeding plants drinking... so thats how much u may meed to provide per feeding. Of course this is a generalization and Not telling u what to do.

I didn't take ur words the wrong way, I was just trying to get a idea of how much u feed as I'm pretty sure everyone amount is different.

What kind of plug so ya used for vertical lightning?
I noticed in pics that the light is stationary vertical. I can remove my siding for my umbrella to just expose the bulb, but the bulb will be kinda at a 135 degrees which won't be vertical at all due to the mogul box that the light screw into.
