Week 1 from switch

It looks like both are females!!! :woohoo:

Here are some photos with just flash - I apologise quality isn't great, plus it was 'baby's' sleep time.

A few of the fan leaves look a little pale, or is it just me? Any advice appreciated if anyone has a better idea? :tiphat:
might give it a little mitrogen tea on next watering?

More updates to come!

DAY 5
(Is this right? Or should I count from 12/12?I normally don't start counting till first signs of sex?)

A Little update :)

Plants are grwoing OK, flowers and stretch, especially the Kush cross. But there are clear signs of deficiencies (still going for nitrogen, new growth looks green?)

Got a tea bubbling on the way:
- EWC
- Fish & feather bone
- Epsom
- molasses
- Kelp
- Bat guano

The thinking for me is it needs N but of course also P as still stretching but budding also. will it be enough nitrogen in tehre? I have been reading a lot of posts where people add 1/10 diluted urine and swear by the results (pics look good too tbh...! :)). I have got a few coffee grinds to putin top soil for slow release over remaining 8 weeks or so.

Anywyas...here are the photos - also for the post-readers that lurk in silence, musst be many! ;)

So, 2 weeks from switch, i fed it yesterday and 24 hours later it looked a lot happier.....i ended up going with what i described on my last post...i nicely bubbled tea! Tough I did a lot more reading over the last few days and realise it's more of a nutrient tea than out and out compost tea...but i will do a proper one next time :)

and it was a round of training again....and I know it's a controversial one, but for my space makes too much sense....defoliation! some pics on next post!

Hope people are enjoying :) tips, questions and criticism always encouraged ;)

DEFOLIATION

So, I wasn't too ruthles..but ruthless enough I think! Now time to wait a few days and see what happens!!

Here they are before....

And after...

Why did you prune so many leaves? I think you should have left them as they seemed to be healthy, and it's not like you need that much penetration.

Hi., thanks for stopping by :)

I know there are two trains of thought on this one, and I prob wouldn't defoliate if I had more space...but the hight of my light means that I don't quite cover the full 60x60 space, so to cram the babies in the sweet spot and to ensure they do not steal eachother's light from where it matters (the bud sites!!! :) ), I take the fan leaves off which shade the budsites. Also the rhmax was creeping up even if Tmin was going down...and I do not want bushy and high RH in a crammed space :)

Hi Wamen, thanks for stopping by! Somehow missed your post last night :-/
I know what you mean about leaves...it's always shocking when I see one defoliated like that! The plants were put through their leaf removal throughout veg, so it's not something new to it....fingers crossed she ends up liking it and not hating it! :)

Update - Week 3 from Switch

Time for an update! Been giving the girls some lovely ACT and a little more gentle LST where it needed it - but things looking good, especially the WWxAK :canabis:

The WW had a bit of a mishap with dryness - and there I was thinking it was struggling with too much water..it feels heavier as a pot somehow? same soil, same hand i pick them up with..strange... :chin:
ANyhow, she is more thann OK now. Not as many modes as the WWxHK (but then it was its junior by a few weeks), but the branches are much thicker, hopefully she'll give me a decent amount :)

here they are...sorry for LED-correcting photos, i appreciate not best

WEEK 4 Switch (3 Flower)

Luckily, not much to report - all seems to procced well :) I have made another ACT for them and they got a straight water feed as well in last week. Oh, I tried opening up one last time what little I could -and got rid of the last big fan leaves - here are the photos :)

Thanks Jaunt! Hoping they'll look good throughout...but failing that, at least at the end!! :D
The material is part of the tent I bought, cannot remember make at the moment, I'll have a look when they wake up ;)

Hi mate, unfortunately I cannot see the name anywehre. It might be on the back of hte tent, but - without wanting to sound sude of course - have no access to the rear.

Week 5

I had to go away for 3 days, so watered tohroughly and filled 3 x 2 litre bottles with water and put those ceramic insert things. They have worked much better than I hoped ,in fact the plants seem to love their even moisture soil...

I know they explode anyway around then, and I gave them some nice ACT just before leaving, but they are really putting weight on - most of what you see is in those last 3 days! I hope the trend continues over hte next few weeks...

Anyways..here are the pics - the flash has slightly exagerated teh whiteness of the buds...but the are just reflecting the clistals!!! :woohoo:

No problem, I got some similar material locally. Nice plants!

WEEK 6 from Switch (5 Flower)

Well, now that more viewers are coming out of the dark, I cannot feel but to oblige with a few extra pictures on this weekly update! :peacock:

Photos were taken in total dark, so apologies if a bit strange - I definitely won't win any prizes as a photographer!
So...all seems to be going well...as walways, WW on left and AK x WW on right
