No there is no need when running Aptus and will do nothing but cause issues...

hello jack i just saw your another amazing thread under current in ********* and i have got some questions :

* it looks like u didnt have duct work coming out from the furnace ?
maybe its a good idea not to have duct work so dont have any resistance on the air flow and maximize the air flow efficiency because u have lots of oscillating fans anyway that mix the air and make the air temperature even.
on the other hand
in this room u do have duct work !
what do u think ?

* r u still using the u.v light ? do u believe it really helpful ?

I prefer duct work this gets the unit out of the room and allows more room.. And yes we still use UV it helps but will not completly get rid of mold..

Got a bunch starting week 4 nothing special to see just yet doing a side by side some in 5 gallon pots some in beds... I will update once they start to really show in anothe week or two..

Jack, do you use any kind of backup power source in case of a power outage? Not full scale generators but something with enough juice to last 4-5 days running fluorescents only. Last summer the power went out for several days in SoCal heard a lot of people got affected..

For iron I foliar with spray'n grow. Has iron and zinc. This product comes highly recommended in the veggie community.

I tried it for my first time last week. I was up north in a buddies hydro store and the Aptus guys were doing a talk. They mentioned it as a solution for cal mag deficiency so I tried it and with in one hour I saw a positive response
