3 weeks in with Aptus shits blowing up around here..

Hey Jack,

Thanks for all the insight. I have a question, do you drop your base nutrient EC when you start to add mass boost and peak boost? I didn't the first time and got a little burn. My EC on the base was around 1.1-1.3. Thanks again!

As far as room temps 85 and 65 %- 75% humidity in veg and first 3 weeks flower then week 4-7 80 degrees and 55%-60% humidity week 8-9 -78 degreese 40 % is what we shoot for... Gald I could help..
Nothing still have them Just not running them way to many genetics trying to bring the keeper # down to 10 instead of 30...

Hey Jack...If one was doing a high plant sog grow (80 small just rooted lolipop style in a 4x8) would you still want those temps and humidity if you were trying to keep them short as possible?

Thanks buddy... awesome thread!

Hey jack, just a quick question.... do you ph your teas to 5.8-6.0 before introducing it to rhe coco beds?
My tea comes out at 6.5 and I just leave it but I have ph'd tea before with no issues..

Jack, I see your running the Phoenix Dehumidifiers. What sizes you running? I have a few 200 Maxs & bought a 270HTX about a year ago , the 270 is a beast but sounds like a Fucking jet Plane...:tiphat:
We use both 200 and 270 they have worked really good...

It depends on strain thats why I never give what ec we use just a general guide line if they burnt back down your base to a total of 1.1 to 1.3 with Aptus so total ec with Aptus 1.1 to 1.3

Jack, do you insulate your rooms?
Yes been covered a bunch...

Hey Jack,

Have you ever used pond liner to protect floors? I'm going to have to use it in my next project and was looking for any tips on sealing pieces together in the middle of the room to make them waterproof. I see your current rooms all have bare cement floors, but though you might have had experience with it in the past.

Anyone have advice on this..? I've heard of epoxy, rubber cement, bike tire patches, and waterproof tape but am wondering whats the quickest, cheapest, and most durable.

Sorry to post in your thread Jack, if not ok I'll move to a new thread.

Thanks Jack! :tiphat:

Maybe a 2x piece of lumber in the middle that you can attach the liner to?

Yield 2 a light is a must, Smell, Flavor, Bag appeal I look for the more OG looking tasting, smelling Phenos plus they have to test really high in both THC and CBD It has to have it all ... After running all the different phenos the stand outs are Wifi #43, #27,#80, That's after running 1000 plus seeds...

Wow, that is a lot of seeds!

Hey Jack what size pots and medium are you using for your mother stock? Any chance of a mother and clone room pic with specs?

we use pond liners to build dtw tables w corrugated aluminum w pond liner beneeth the alum. to protect wood support structures dry. to seal them we use liquid rubber in a can. its like spray paint when wet but dries and hardens into rubber. it works well on many grow applications. we even used it to seal cracked reserviors.

fanjets

fanjets

hey jack i took a 1/16 drillbit and bored out all the fanjet orifices. then i got a pre/suction filter for the leader240 3/4 hp pump and a discharge filter. now the fanjets are better than some showerheads at cheap hotelz. the flow rate has increased and the fertigation system is tits. also due to circumstances at the time i prevegged in 4 inch containers for a week and got the clones a good root system and a jump on the bed veg. then i vegged for 8 daze and flipped em. im gonna see how it goes but i was thinking its alot cheaper to preveg under t5s for aweek then since they have a decent rootball it quickly establishes lat. rooting in the beds with in 8 days. i'll see how she goes.i havent changed my grow style or surfed canna forums for many years until i saw your bed thread..... you sir are the man!!many thanks for the blueprints jack:thank you:

Jack do you leave your wall fans on at night? Sometimes I put mine on a timer just to save some $ and haven't noticed any difference.. What do you think?

Not sure would need more details like line size we use all 1" pvc and 1 hp pumps..We have drilled and removed the washer inside the octa bubblers for more flow.. JACK

I've been following this thread since the beginning. Would like to say thanks for all the salient information. You've been quite generous to say the least.

I've got one question regarding the Octa Bubblers. What size do you use? I've repeatedly looked closely at all the pics and it appears to be the red ones at 10 gph. I'm sure you've covered this but for the life of me I can't find it. I know you've mentioned more than once that you remove the pressure compensating washers for more flow.

Thanks again for all the time you've put in sharing your operation. Believe me I've reaped the benefits.

Jack how do you guys extend your ballast power cords to reach the light timer? Do you DIY and splice them with extensions, or does your electrician run lines with outlets close to the ballasts so there's no need?

What light timers do you use anyways, I don't think you've ever really touched on this..

Keep it up man, you're really sparking a revolution!

And making caps a ton of cheddar, hahahaha... Jk.

You arent saving much by turning off wall fans. Those run less than an amp.
I cant think of a single reason I would turn mine off over night. You want air moving at all times to prevent bugs from nesting and to keep moisture from building up on your plants.
I can think of a bunch of reasons to run fans over night, but I cant think of a single reason not to
