70s yesterday, 60s today, low 50s tonight. maybe winter will show up before spring gets here...
The older I get, the less my body and mind are able to fight the cold during bitter winter Rocky Mountain arctic cold snaps, which is predicted to stick around here for the next week.
I shake my head when I think back to the time when I was 16 and it was -60 C with wind chill. We gladly went outside to smoke a joint without jackets on...... no problem.....
I hate it when it gets this cold. Just glanced at my outside thermometer. It reads - 40 C ......
Layered clothing, heavy duty goose down parka, goose down mitts, and my trusty genuine sheared beaver Alaskan fur trapper hat are the order of the day.
Older vehicles with weak batteries will not start. I drive a vintage older Toyota diesel 4x4 pickup which has a block heater that warms up both the oil pan and radiator. It starts on the first crank each and every time !!
Winter diesel sold here is specially blended with anti-gel lubricants to prevent it from freezing. I also add a special cetane booster when I fill up my tank.

Sun sets at 420 today so that’s cool?
My car can warm up for 45 minutes and be good to go and then 15 minutes on highway and the clutch and brakes want to freeze.
Lol and this is STILL warmer than growing up in Dawson City 6 hour drive North! I saw -63 on our thermometer there once.

56 F today, still climbing. it IS supposed to "cool off" later this week. no chance of snow though. i miss winter. why i bought a jeep...
low 70s today. come ON, winter!

35 this morning, haven’t had a but a couple mornings when it has been below freezing...
25-30°F here in Boston. Usually around 40 in the Winter, recent cold spell. Getting that Arctic weather. Looks like we'll hit 40 on Friday. 30's rest of the time.
not bad at all here. nearly every winter weather system has missed us to the north. if all of our recent rain had been snow, we could not have left the house without cutting a hole in the roof for an exit...

Where I am, the freezing rain has the sidewalk slick with ice, my back porch is frozen over, a 1/4" layer of ice on my truck windows. The frozen grass underfoot cracks when you step on it. Think I will stay in today.
We could use a little global warming.
