(y) What goes around...
A classic example of the KJ Bible parable re. "Remove the beam from your own eye before complaining about the spec in your neighbor's". At least, in my sometimes (or more often)-spiteful view of redneck republicanism and now, corporate neo-liberal democrat hypocrisy

They're lying about the frequency of immigrant-generated crime, they're lying about the crime rates in general for the most part, they're lying about the asylum seekers and the (often-US State Dept. history behind it; meddling in other 'sovereign' nations' affairs), they're lying about the benefits of immigration to the US economy, and much, much more.

One might assume early into this whole shit circus, that... they're generally liars? Ignorant nationalists? Sick and twisted manipulators? Easily led astray? Hateful to begin with, thus even more easily led astray? Plain old gullible and partisan enough not to look at the truths? Badly in need of something to hate in order to feel proud, even if it's fabricated?

All sorts of possibilities. Few of them flattering.

Then take a peek at Sweden's rate of acceptance of immigrants several years ago, compared on a per capita basis (or just raw numbers, even), let alone land area basis, with the US. Or the previous rates of acceptance of immigrants in the postage stamp-size Country of Holland (not that they haven't seen their own peaks in racial bigotry and stereotyping of Moroccans and Turks, as 2 examples).

There's PR and bullshit some repeat to themselves in the mirror to justify themselves and to mask their nonsense, and then there's reality. Two different states of being and awareness.

sounds a lot like Pontius Pilate, washing his hands thinking it absolves guilt in the matter. if you do not take a stand against the worst, you aid it. there IS NO ROOM for "neutrality". JMHO
I am taking a stand against the worst. There's clearly more than 1 worst. And a shitload of dead Palestinians and their dead babies can attest to that.

And "All roads lead to Wall St."

No murderers/serial mass murderers, no liars, cheats, corporatists need apply.

Change of this sick, corrupted, now irreparably perverted system begins with each one of us saying loudly, "NO FUCKING MORE!!!" and meaning it, even if we suffer when that flu shot needle pierces our arm.

great cartoons and i agree with everything you say about these two parties.

40,000 minimum palestinians dead. who knows how many wounded or crippled for life. the images of the children in hospitals with limbs blown off or blinded for life are very difficult for me and should be for anyone else.

now they're killing lebanese people and are about to start killing iranians.

it's clear nuttyyahoo doesn't want peace. he wants biblical revenge.

because of our election cycle both parties are afraid to say anything much against israel right now. it really could cost them the election.

i have trouble understanding the christian support for israel considering how the country was started.

i keep thinking of the great mahatma gandhi and his statement on christianity.

when asked what he thought of christianity he said,

"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”

Gandhi also was asked what he thought about western civilization, to which he replied he thought it was a great idea, or something to that tune.

The dogmatic Christians believe the Bible's (misinterpreted?) statements about the Jews as His Chosen people. But he also sent them into the desert for 40 years for their idolatry.

As numerous rabbis currently attest, Bibi's idea of 'Zionism' detours around their God, and creates a whole new version of 'idolatry' that ended up in that 40-year banishment back then.

But free land and ethnocentrism can poison a lot of integrity, vision, and honor, too.

As far as the US buying into the wholesale wanton criminal action over there, the US alphabet soup agencies at the State Dept. see it as a foothold in the middle east (look up 'Secret Site 512' if you're curious), the location is in the middle of the oil producing nations there, there's 1-3 trillion cubic ft. of natural gas on the Gaza side of that beach that Israel has been making plans to steal (with US support, no doubt), and who knows what Mossad has on our 'leadership'. Then there's AIPAC's pressures and campaign funding.

I'm a firm believer that serial mass murderers, regardless of rank, position, or office, belong either locked up for life w/o parole or executed. That includes those who assist them in any way. Including those in the US who've fueled this for their own twisted various reasons.

Oh, and that 40,000 dead statement includes only those bodies that have been recovered, and fully IDed. There are specific criteria for who is counted as confirmed deceased. The estimates of how many are dead exceeds 200,000 easily at this time.

I'm back, what did I miss? Took a trip back east. Delis are still putting out corned beef in Flatbush. Stopped in Chicago on the way back to the west coast. Jim's Original puts out a good dog.

Get home to pretentious, overpriced, and underwhelming eateries that will never see a dime of my money.

Treatment works.

no. there can be only one "worst" unless both do the exact same thing. and only ONE of the two we are talking about wants to prevent the other sides access to the ballot box, and become a dictator. voting to stop a potential dictator from taking over our nation is NOT a vote to continue the unjust wars our nation engages in, whether you choose to see it that way or not. sorry... if the wanna-be dictator wins, what makes you think he'll leave in four years ? :ROFLMAO::LOL: send ME some of what you are smoking...

US boots on the ground is escalation in October just before the election. What a surprise!

That is not helping.

the republican party is suing to stop mail in and absentee votes from being counted in the critical swing states.

every trump rally as we close in on the election is more focused on racially based fear and hate than substantive policy issues.

in north carolina, fema workers are being challenged and harrassed by right-wing militias as they go door to door checking on people.

"In multiple rallies in the past week, Trump has accused Biden and Kamala Harris of favoring migrants over disaster-hit areas. “They stole the Fema money, just like they stole it from a bank, so they could give it to their illegal immigrants that they want to have vote for them this season,” Trump has said."

“Kamala spent all her Fema money, billions of dollars, on housing for illegal immigrants.” Trump added the places worst hit are “largely a Republican area so some people say they did it for that reason”.

"Last week, Stephen Miller, a far-right Trump adviser, said that “Kamala Harris turned Fema into an illegal alien resettlement agency”.

"Other conspiracy theories and erroneous claims have swirled online and in areas affected by Helene, such as the assertion that Fema will give only $750 to individuals as a loan (it is, in fact, a grant, and can be followed by further claims for more than $40,000) or that the agency is seizing people’s land."

"Some social media posts spreading misinformation about the hurricanes called for militias to be formed to confront Fema workers"

"One of the more outlandish claims about the hurricane came from Marjorie Taylor Greene, the extremist Republican congresswoman who previously claimed that Jewish lasers from space caused forest fires. “Yes they can control the weather,” Greene posted on X about the hurricane last week. “It’s ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can’t be done.”

"Andrew Dessler, a climate scientist at Texas A&M University, said: “There is no mechanism to control a hurricane and no evidence that anyone was trying to modify it. This is just a crazy conspiracy theory.”

“While humans don’t ‘control’ the weather we are affecting the weather. Human activities, mainly the emission of greenhouse gases, did indeed make Helene more destructive.”

which party is using the politics of fear, hate, and exclusion to sway voters?

Already addressed what happens to dictators. Are you afraid to step up and remove a despot by force if needed? Or are you afraid and distrusting that your fellow country-people are that frightened that they'll cower rather than doing so?

Only one of the two has thus far continued to violate US and international laws and treaties during a genocide by continuing to arm a heathen scumbag who has now/already been IDed as a war criminal.

I don't think it's my drugs that are obstructing my vision, but you might check your bag.

And, no doubt, some of those foolish young men and women assisting in defending a war criminal and a criminal state will die.

Don't lay down with dogs and a person won't be so apt to catch fleas.

Yep, Bibi is about to get his wish and be granted his escalation of his criminal war, using more US tax dollars for his regional theft of land and his genocide..

Not the first time the US State Dept and Oval Office have chosen to support a criminal regime. Probably won't be the last, either, until we're willing to imprison our own criminal politicians.

By the way, making statements that can very easily be interpreted as meaning, "Avoiding possible disruption to my comfort is far more important than my country beheading thousands of babies with bombs purchased with my money in my name (while people in my own country go hungry), shipping billions in tax dollars and munitions to a criminal state.", neither instills an image of thoughtfulness, compassion, awareness, or anything other than a sense of entitlement, separation from one's own responsibilities and conscience, and a form of nationalist narcissism.

Especially in light of the fact that the US hasn't really seen a war fought on its own turf since 1814(edit: not including the CIVIL war), with the minor exceptions (time or duration-wise) of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and the Japanese incursion into the Aleutian Islands in WWII.

We're good at keeping the blood born of opportunism on others' front porches, aren't we?
