80 lbs of gypsum in the native soil underneath...yea maybe. In the mound itself no way in fuck. Where did you get such an idea

North eastern Italian wine growers?

Well, it isn't hard to replicate you just need to get yourself on track and know where you need to fill in the blanks for your particular set up with foliar , what we did here was take clay and make it in to soil.

You need tiller radish, a fuck load of gypsum, microbes, and I sped up the process by spreading a 4" layer of compost as well.

This is the ground the mounds were built up out of by adding peat moss green waste compost cinders and perlite all mixed with improved clay.

Over the last 5 years if you include the gypsum we laid down initially and how much has been added per season each 10x10x4 area is up to approximately 80# applied to it.

Every season the mounds are bigger than the year before. The soil grows because of all the leaf litter etc thrown back on top of the mounds and the worms doing their thing.

It is a process and since I grow in the same areas every time I look at it as a cumulative effort.

I hope that bamboo doesn't cave in once she pack on the weight, NICE PLANT

I have a 5' tall 2.5' diameter remesh cage as well as a 7' tall 6' diameter cage and the bamboo is held up by t posts , the netting just keeps the colas from making a fulcrum and snapping in bad weather it doesn't hold the frame of the plant up.

The center of the plant is also staked up straight

The fact that the 400ppm cytokinin is cited off radish leaf bioassay which as you like to say is not good science because it shows false cytokinin levels... Like fake cec and calcium levels with a m3 test and carbonates

Over the last 30 years, I have bought every ascophyllum nodosum from nearly every MANUFACTURER, I test.

From the results that I have seen (and I do lots of trials), and the fact that it certified by the EPA to have 400 ppm of cytokinin, means that the gov't doesn't agree with you nor do I, we can agree to disagree.:woohoo:

What you don't get is the areas that got that much are 10x10x4 areas.

More like 14 yards per plant.

OK. The numbers have changed.... but let's do the math anyways.

10x10 feet is 100 sq ft which is 36 sq/ft. The dosage of gypsum you are talking about (80#'s in 5 years) is a dosis of 38.4 tons/ha.

You are still my hero. I would never apply more than 6 tons per gulp.

Even if you did this over 5 years, you were at 7.6 MT/HA/YR

You are still in my hero and I will go on using you as a wonderful example. Dr. Caterpillar I will call you OK? Honorary Agronomist!

:moon: :woohoo:

Yeah the EPA will sign off on that 400ppm radish bioassay but it isn't the most accurate one and avenger already explained this to you , looks like I was wrong about posting again. These forums still suck

When folks sell something that has less or no cytokinins, that is the way to :woohoo: the competition. This is a dispute in the seaweed industry that goes back much more than we are discussing.

I have been promised some recent literature that disputes the science that Avenger is talking about. I will post it for you and Avenger as soon as I get it.

In the meantime, you should do your own experiment. That is how you learn.

These forums suck? I don't know. I love watching strangers argue about seaweed on the internet. What else would I do on a Friday night?

Yes if you buy my consulting I'll also sell you on sea stim and other woowoo juice from the Amish , but the fact of the matter is that I have used both and you have not so I can say one way or the other objectively but you can't. I do suggest trying some. It's cheap and has the same application rate

It's not the seaweed it's his selectivity In writing off good science and repeating stuff like EPA cert and I'll have info soon which last time he posted was that night , and I also asked him to reveal the kelp manufacturer but I had to find it myself but he will turn around and tell me to post my soil test like I owe him something or have something to prove , proofs in the pudding aka photos.

I just don't like the talking out both sides of the mouth.
