Lots of talking That's for sure.

His high mg I think is also making his soil anaerobic

Slow -

I don't think there's any point in posting my analysis because it's site specific to my farm and water and I don't need any help. I can post one I guess so people can see what a good one looks like from all test type.

If he does a very fine grind gypsum and some potassium sulfate he may be able to bring things around ... Maybe some cal nitrate in one shot to get shit moving but I'm not sure how much he's trying to be organic

Pillar,

Lots of folks are sharing their analysis to better understand. You obviously need no help. Please excuse any insinuation of any such offer. Love to see what your chemistry looks like, that is all.

I agree with you as well, fine grind and quick response is essential. How much gypsum do you recommend for this size bag? How much gypsum are you using inside vs outside?

I also agree that a small shot of cal nitrate would heat things up. He surely needs that nitrate right now, as well an aminoacid form of fish might be the cats meow right about now. Too much nitrate spikes pH too much and will cause more metal issues if over applied. Footsy will have to do some titrations prior to injection to see how much his pH spikes. The metals I am pretty sure are quite an issue already, spiking pH just makes them worse. He needs manganese in the worst way.

Aminoacids from fish are so amazing as they several aminos that specifically are able to make calcium more available to the plant. I have seen small miracles using a water soluble fish powder here in Peru, 65% aminos... no sodium. In high salts, it turned trees around.

Footsy needs his water analysis. It is amazing what a problem water can be. Let's try and get folks to post their water analysis too. Some folks don't realize what a blessing good water is.

sorry guys , just wanted to make sure you saw this !! was posted just before by me .

i,d enjoy seeing some of your grows fella,s ...... offering all this advice , your grows must be unreal. we could all learn a lot following a thread of yours . do either of you guys plan to share your grows with us ?( this is not sarcasm either , its genuine interest )

He has a good high amino fish powder from spray dried cod waste it also has a good oil content it's called pure protein dry ... It works good but smells so fucking bad.

There's a comparable amino N from non gmo soy from ferti organic. I like that stuff because it has as much or more amino acids and it doesn't smell like rotten hooker pussy

Beans,

Sorry, not a grower like you all, never claimed to be. However, I am a real agronomist and work on my own 200+ acres, avocado and limes. Here are some photos if you care to peruse.

http://goo.gl/1U92jS

I am here to learn from you guys, however if you want to talk soils and analysis, dealing with issues, well that is different, been doing that for some 30 plus years. If you want to talk about evaporation and irrigation calculations, that is different, I can help on those too.

Footsy asked for some help and ran the analysis in a different manner and at a different lab. So did a couple of others, pretty sure that everyone is here trying to learn and understand the numbers better and looking at correct procedures to understand the soil correctly, which is grossly needed, not only for you all, but most farmers in general.

You all are the cannabis growers, not me. So far....

If you check out what I grow, well, I produce more limes and avocado per acre or hectare than nearly anyone in the world and at high densities, with a salt strategy for the long term, not to mention, 100% certified organic for Europe and the US. My avocado is harvested with 30% plus oils, nearly unheard of in the industry, in a zone, where avocado stays super small due to the high temperatures barely hitting 100 grams. My average is over 300 grams, many over 400 grams.

Once Peru goes legal, it will be fun to see how I do. I promise to post lots of photos.

I came to check out some ganja pictures FF. and read about rotten hooker pussy. icky

all organic, re-used, re-ammended soil. no soil tests, ever. no cover crop. Just good ol fashioned trial and error..

^^^ perfect sized plants ^^^ nice one norcal. i,m going for slightly smaller plants this season . i don't like the waist on larger plants or the extra work involved in the whole process

Norcal,

Sweet. One can only imagine the result. Any photos of last years pull?

Pretty convinced you all have it dialed in up there in northern California.... with those evaporation rates, temps and low relative humidity, looks to be good base soil and in many cases amazing water supplies. Like having a stacked deck....

No better University than that of trial and error. Mother of invention. I have at any given time many experiments, long and short terms. Varieties, calcium levels, manganese levels, irrigation levels and a bunch of woo woo juice that we test because it is supposed to change our future. One learns from experience, no doubt.

But with that said, how much faster can one advance if one talks to someone else that is already doing it or who had to go through the same hard knocks? Common theme here.

A couple of us like to use numbers and experience. Me, myself, I like to associate what I see with numbers. Run correlations statistically in many cases, especially at the sugar cane farms. They have more agronomists than you can imagine. They need real data to make decisions on how to budge 10,000 acres to productivity. We can dial it in if we apply the right sciences. Air, water and nutrition, all individual sciences and objectives, but intertwined.

And using numbers, we can dial it in quicker, get better results and push elements that can change results dramatically, in quantity and quality. Kempf for example realized the importance of Mn. Not sure if Kempf realized or not, but in soils where Mn dominates Fe, yields in everything are double and triple compared to soils where Fe dominates Mn. Took me 20 plus years to figure that out. Ask my old friend from Hawaii, Steve Faust. His Fe/Mn ratio on his foofoo juice is 1:1 No wonder everyone thinks he walks on water. However Kempf at least, is only selling what is needed. Bringing in more iron to most soils in most cases is like bringing ice cubes to eskimos. Or gasoline to put out a fire.... better yet.

Show some finished goodies please....

Are you using any calcium at all NorCal? How much gypsum? Give it up dude.

slownickel… i agree 100% on your post, but its almost september, you're gonna have to wait a month and a half for some finished goodies, obviously

yes, i add calcium

yes, i add gypsum, about a cup per 600 gal

we were in much smaller pots last year so it doesn't compare. i don't take many pics anyways. none from last year

not trying to say its wrong or bad to get super deep into it biologically, but seems to me people can over think things and have it backfire on them

an interest in weed is only going to get you so far , theres so many other things to enjoy in actually growing it . the diversity of all the strains and the different buds produced by each one is truly awesome .

i can,t help but feel your missing out on most of the fun :) hopefully you go legal soon so you can truly experience it .
