Thanks everybody!

JJScorpio- Heh heh, you mean the mulch?

I woke up tonight to a rare blessing for this time of year,.......... :badday: RAIN!!! And its a good thing!

Looking at the rain gauge on my porch, I have gotten about a 1/4 inch, and it is still comming down. This is a rare event for my part of Oregon, we often go years without measurable ammounts of rain in August, weather records indicate a 4% chance of a rainy day in the middle 2 weeks of this month.

Its very good timing because it would have been a bit more than a week between visits at most of my plots this couple of weeks, but now I can rest assured that they will not only survive, but actually maybe thrive a bit more.

I wish it rained here a bit more reliable in July/August, just a steady 1/2" a week would help alot, but many summers not more than a half inch might be all we get in that time.

It has been raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock up North. I have been trying to help my folks get their house prep'd for painting and have been spending all this time soaked. We do not have much time before the real rain hits, so we have to get this places painted in the next couple of weeks. By the way things look this summer we are going to have the other half of the coin this September and have a lot of rain. But what do I know. Is it still El' Nino?

Yeah, I left the windows down on all my vehicles the night it started, I drove all day on a wet seat. The rain stopped before afternoon here, but it has stayed pretty cloudy, and was actually foggy this morning.

El' Nino ended in January, so says the NOAA, and after a neutral spring it appears a weak La' Nina system is forming as we speak.
My area sits on the dividing line where Nino/Nina systems are concerned, my climate can follow either Washington or Califoria norms in either system. The bottom line is my climate is on its own plan it seems.

It has been raining here since Saturday, with a little relief on Sunday. It is like November. I feel cheated. You usually seem to get rain when we do up here, so maybe you are following Washington weather. Good for the plants though, they probably grew from the rain

newRandude- It was feeling like late September there for a while, now its more like early September. Yesterday it actually got into the mid 80s, and the soil has lost its visable wetness, but I'm sure it is still moist a few inches down. I'm digging this cooler August, that 90-105F bullshit gets old most summers!
I do hope we get a long, dry "Indian summer" though.

stoneshaper-Yeah, things should be good, I have not been out since the rain started, since no watering was needed, but I have a feeling I'll be getting out tomarrow to check some of them at least.

Yeah BC, We are anxious to see some new photos. at least I am. I have been staying at my folks cabin in an area called Yelm. It is nice out here. Anyway, a doe and a fawn came on the property they other day and just munched on tree leaves without giving us sencond thought. My stepdad yelled at the deer for awhile and they were unphased. He ended up shooting the doe a couple times with a bb gun. Once they get domesticated like this there is no getting rid of them. I hated to seem him run them off, but it is garden after all. Still cool here, but it is supposed to be hot. They say the clouds are going to burn off and get into the mid 80s. I have had good weather for all the outdoor stuff I was doing. There is lots to do here, my folks are starting to slow down and need more of my help.

I dont kill the deer, my father just shot them with a bb gun, a toy that shoots pellets with air. He had to shoot the mother twice as she was not deterred by the first.

Update time, as requested!

Update time, as requested!

High guys! Here you go WAMEN! Thankyou everyone!
Along with the cooler temps(17 days of this month have been 5-10 degrees cooler than avg) this month, we got a inch of rain a while back, so I had no need to visit my plots. I did finally decide to get out and check on HM#1, 2, and 4 yesterday, I should get out to check my big plot(#3) tonight or tomarrow.

HM#1, C99 x OR95-

She is filling in nicely, like I said, this plant is much earlier than the others, the question is- Genetics or the extreme sun exposure?

HM#2-

She has many nice colas all reaching for the sun!

HM#3-

OR95a-

This plant gave it up for some reason, I am suspecting it was because of some toxin or something cuz her plot sisters look great! No biggy :rasta:

Nice BC very nice! Frost levels, occur at different times it looks like huh? My jedi has been flowering for two weeks and still has shown any sign of trichs...You have a few dif shots there, but the first one is really frosty huh?? Interesting, good job bro, they look like there gonna be monsters! They are really healthy too, almost looks like indoor! Great work bro, I'll be back

EDIT-just saw that the frostiest plant is also you earliest flowering so far, makes sense about the frost then, PEACE

Nice Photos BC, Well worth the wait. The one sure is dead, I guess that happens sometimes. You are making up for it with that C99xOr95. Great show, my mouth is waterng now.
I have this Canadian named Soxy you can see. He is stalking and following me around so he can flame everything I write to anyone. I told Gypsy I would like him to get a warning, no need for that sort of thing in a peaceful place like this.
Last night the deer ate some more of my father's green beans lol. He is fit to be tied. Not too sharing with his harvest.
