They were still selling seeds as of last August. That was the last time we corresponded. However, you'll have to go there to buy them as they only sell locally.

What a find! Looks like we can look forward to seeing more of those long Sata Nash buds filling up that cab of yours Pipedream. Hope they germ for you.

Well guys.. It's been a great stay even if it has been short. In the next few days I will be upgrading my cabinet with a second 150W lamp. The idea is to have one lamp for the left side of the cab and one lamp for the right side of the cab for 300W total.

So.. Where's the 300W club? I don't think I'm going to find too many people running the 2x 150W setup, so I'll probably keep on posting pictures here in the 150W thread, as long as that's OK. The buds on both of my flowering bag-seed plants just keep getting bigger and bigger. I figure they're still a good 2-4 weeks from harvest, can't wait!

the very tip of one of seeds tap root was cut off some how and now its not sprouting,i assumed it would take longer to sprout ,but i wonder if its dead? is that umm a fatal injury for a plant?

I usually germinate seeds in towels then stick them in the dirt tap-root down, beaner barely under the surface.

I am thinking that this method is wrong, and I think I learned it on OG years ago. When I do it like that, the seed always gets stuck to the cotyledon and it takes a while to fall off. If you pick it off before it's ready the seedling dies.

I was reading some posts here a while back and someone mentioned planting with the tap-root up, about 1/4-1/2" down. This makes sure that the sprout doesn't see daylight before it's ready, I'm thinking. Sad thing is I've wasted 2x SQ seeds already (Two dead seedlings), and the other one looks like it's going to die soon too. Next go round I'm sticking them tap-root up and about 1/2" in the dirt. It might take longer for them to break the surface, but at least they won't die right?

I've always planted them with the tap-root down with no problems. The point of placing the root facing up is so that the shell casing will be pulled off naturally as the sprout forces its way to the surface.

The cotyledons are the first two baby leaves that the sprout produces to start the photosynthysis process. They stay on the plant and do not come off.

The two larger flat leaves in this pic are the cotyledons, the smaller leaves between them are the first set of real leaves just starting to form....

right here budy! - don't go nowhere - two 150's still means your in the 150 club - and you're not alone - invision runs dual 150s I think - and bulenath (where ever he is :moon: ) has two cabs with 150s in each.

So that means you stay right here and just post double the porn - ok?

to add my experience to the seedling debate...

I germ in moistened (with water plus drop of bleach) paper towel inside a ziplock bag which has been inflated a bit by my breath on top of the router.

when they pop - usually within 36 hours - I place them tap root down into pre soaked RW starter cubes, into the pre made hole just barely so that the bottom end of the seed (not the tap root side) is at same level as top of cube. Then they go under a daylight cfl. Within a day they'll pop up as the root goes down. If the seed shell hasn't been shed by the action of the cotylden leaves opening I help it off with a pair of tweasers after two days above ground. I have never seen this result in death - just slows them down a little. You have to be careful though - that's why I use the tweezers - it's very easy to squeeze and damage the seedling trying to pull off the shell - you want to just help it off - try with a toothpick just get under and push it a little at a time.

Hello fellow 150-er's, I thought I would throw a few pictures up now that I have something flowering lol.

Here's Nirvana's M x A, week 4. I brushed on some PPP pollen on 2 bud sites the other day.

Here's my scrog, week 4, M39 clone. I got this clone from a buddy and it was amongst some big bud clones. At first we thought that's what it was, but now that it's in flower I'm pretty sure it's a M39. I also put some PPP pollen on 2 bud sites.

Take care...

so here are some dry bud shots from my last grow been in the jar almost a week now.

burmese - this stuff is soo nice and stinky right away - it can be smoked almost immediatly once dry and still enjoyed - however this will get a full cure as I am enjoying some of it's mom curing since December.

next is the grapefruit this doesn't smell strongly, yet. This bud really isn't anything until it's been in the jar for two months.

still looks very pretty right now :yummy: but there is no smell

and here is that same bud poking out of the jar first with the flash for lighting

and next with out the flash but with a daylight cfl for lighting (as was used for the rest of these pictures) same shot different lighting.

total harvest was two wide mouth quart jars full of well trimmed burmese bud and one mostly filled jar of the grapefruit. I don't own a scale so I think it's probably somewhere around 2oz - not the best yield but still a good yield and all nice dense nuggets.

Also ran the trim and got about 3/4 a gram or so of nice blond hash from hand mixing and then a bit more from a second run with an electric mixer.

hope y'all enjoy.

Hey guys, its been a while, I have some pictures here from 4/20 I have yet to share! Ive been busy, moved back in with my parents to save up so I can get something really going when I can afford not to rent.

My cab is at a friends house right now, I was finishing up 2 plants which I really wanted to finish up. This is my first real grow and I was quite attached haha. Wether or not I'm going to continue with this cab with my friend Im still not sure.

Anyways, I harvested one plant about a week ago and Ive slowly been smoking it. Being fed mostly water through its whole life its such a different smoke then anything Ive tried. Not very strong but very smooth and very natural. My friend started giving the plants some sort of nutrients when I moved it over, which is why im even more impressed with my second plant I just took down today.

Pictures form my camera phone are below, Ill try and get some dried up shots, but I have abuot a 1 oz yield from first plant and am expecting about the same for this one. My friends used to growing with 2000W + and he was quite impressed I think. In order from oldest to newest heres some pictures I had stored.

Oldest plant at about Day 30? into flower

Preperations for 4/20 in Vancouver

About day 41? of flower for the first 2 shots, day 20? for second 2 shots.

Harvest day for older plant Day 54 flower.

Harvest day for the younger plant.

sug- beautiful as always!

jasonk- likewise and good to see you back and posting.

My sickly mom got a total nitrogen bath and shower last night. I alsoremoved all of the yellow and dying fans. Goingtorun down to the hydroshop today or tomorrow and pick up either GH Maxi Gro or Fox Farm Grow Big. Both have a heavy concentration of quick release and absorbtion nitro. We'll see how it goes from there.

Suga...that burmese looks amazing.

Update day 36 of 12/12,
430 HPS (Top of cab):

150 HPS (Bottom of cab): about a week behind the 430.

Nug closeup:

In response to Suga asking where I was going to germ my new keikis, I built this:

I started 5 White Widow and 5 Crystal Limit on the 14th. All the WW showed their heads today...still waiting on the CL's. Again, I'm using that funky little 55 watt fluro. Wanted to show you guys how well it works.
Close up of a WW keiki:

Thought I'd throw a new pic of the Aurora Indica from Nirvana. All I can say is this is definately not Aurora Indica but some type of Sativa...wish I knew which strain. She spends all her nights and days on the balcony only receiving about 6 hours of direct morning sunshine. The rest of her day is spent in the shade of the balcony. I repotted her into a 5 gal pot and supported all her branches. Should be interresting to see how she finishes.

Close up of her very sativaish bud growth.

Hawaiian808 - Look at the difference between the two boxes! WOW! ;-)

Some pics @ 57 days into flwr:

Everything is well in my part of the planet. Cheers to everyone! How much longer do you think? Looks to me to be another 2-4 weeks. Should I start flushing after 10 weeks, chop @ 12 weeks?

Well I'm glad everyone's grow is progressing nicely. As I had mentioned in another thread, my "Mother-To-Be" took a turn for the worse and finally gave up the ghost. Although, always trying to make the best out of a bad situation, Jr has adopted it as his personal Palm Tree. Says it reminds him of home. We were able to start another plant from one of the 5 or 6 year old beans my wife dug up from our luggage, so we have our fingers crossed and will see how it turns out.

Enjoy the holiday. Regards to all. PD & Jr

Alright, so I'm between grows right now, and I'm trying to decide what I want to do once I get started again. I've got about 40 cuts from a couple SD IBL plants (females I think/hope) sitting in my fridge, waiting for me to be ready to use them. I'm moving to a new apartment this week, and I've got most of my cabinet ready to grow.

I figure since I have so many clones, I could easily do a SOG, and that appeals to me for a few different reasons. I would use several plants, but not veg them for long at all, maybe a week or two at most. If I start flowering two weeks after I move in, I should have a harvest sometime during the month of September. By then I hope to have some kinda of small veg cabinet set up so I can grow out a few plants for cuttings, ready to go when I harvest the initial batch.

Anyways... I've got the trusty 150w HPS, which will most likely be behind glass in a stationary cooled hood. I am planning on mounting a movable shelf so that I can keep the tops close to the light, which would be easy to do with an even canopied sog. (If temperatures are good, I might add a 175w MH for some dual spectrum fun.)

The space is about 14"x20", and I think that would fit 6-8 two liter bottles in there easiy, which is what I plan on flowering in. I want to root them all in jiffy pellet type things, take the 8 best from each plant, and plant them into 16oz plastic cups. As soon as I see roots on the bottom of those cups, I want to transplant them into the 2 liters and start 12/12 when I do the transplant. I think this should be a good plant size to start flowering at, given the space I have to work with.

Hopefully they won't get too bushy so it's not overgrown, I don't think that will be a problem though, given the short veg period.

I took about 20 cuttings from each plant, I should be able to get at least half rooted successfully. (I hope, I've never cloned before.)

This grow, I think I'm going to go Organic Soil, and feed them with some organic teas. I like the look of organics, I want to give it a shot. Hopefully I'll get good results, I've seen some amazing looking plants grown with a very simple organic program, I'd like to get mine looking the way those do. Check out Mister Postman's grow thread if you want to see the plants I'm talking about.

How do my plans sound? :joint:

bounty - Good luck with the move! Sounds like you've thought things out and will be up and growing in no time. A true SOG has always been my favorite style of growing. I think it has alot of advantages with respect to plant health, ease of growing, crop management, and various other areas. Can't wait to see some pic's of your set-up once you get it cooking. Enjoy the holiday. Same to the entire 150w Crew.
