brney ... i am curious as to the containers you are growing in. what are they ? i am always on the lookout for square or rectangular containers, to me they just make sense when one is growing in a square or rectangular space . nice lookin' gals, by the way .

I found them at the dollar store.....they are a little bucket like a kid would play with in the sandbox....even has little handles on the side.

Their not super tough, I cracked one when I was drilling drainage holes in the bottom.

The dimensions are 8"x 8"x 8". They hold about 2 gal.

I'm with ya on the using square containers in a square or rectangluar space!! 3 of these will fit in my U2 with a little xtra room.

I was gonna order some grow bags......but these little buckets only cost $1 each....and I just put some duct tape on 'em and drill some drainage holes.

They work beautifully. Fuggin' Perfect.

(I guess you never heard of Borat,yet) nice BMR, I always wanted to try that.
I like those pots, I will have to check a dollar store out. I got lucky one day and someone through out 3 of them in their garbage and I scooped them. If ppl know others that have cats, convince to buy the cat litter in the square pots, then get them off them.

Yeah, I really like the Lifesaver. Its my fav so far, next to sc99. I gave my bro a clone of a diff LS and he still likes the rockhard sc99 better. I find the Lifesaver, is heroin for my back at times. I mostly convert to bho but the LS and SC99 I will smoke as herb.
Soon, I am getting a vapolution vape and looking forward to running some tastey SC99 thru it.

green_grow looking pretty good for 12days 12/12. You should do fine with 2 in there, I would maybe prune it a tad.

sugabear ... i have no idea what dwc is (other than it is a form of hydroponics) but will definitely advise if i find a source for square/rectangular pots. i noticed that the garden shops DO have them in ceramic, but free, or at least dirt-cheap, is more my style .

xtbudda ... thanks for the advice . i was thinking that a pruning would be in order, particularly down in between the 2 plants where it is likely to get pretty dark.

I dont even deserve to post anymore, I have strayed for quite some time..
The vintage U2 is almost finished, all parts are purchased. Slacking because this cabinet, unlike my first, has to be perfect. This is going to be the most beautiful set up I ever imagined. They will house Suga's plants. Sugabear who I must appologise to for keeping him waiting.

The Panasonic whisper fan tutorial will be finished within a week, thats a promise I will keep, big respect 150 club.

Okay I gota take my medication if only I can find the lighter, then we have pictures of plant #1 harvest, and the sacrifice/ Thanks Giving harvest of the monster... the Webfooted Molokai Ducksfoot Monster. This harvest didnt go by trichomes, but tradition!

Harvested day 71.
Cure day 9.
Weight: 24 grams.
Early harvest due to over fert. Thankfully I was desperate for pot anyway!
Experiemented with 400% Strength Pure Blend Pro Bloom for 2 weeks prior to harvest!

Heres some C-dub ducksfoot pheno.
Harvest day 85. Today.
Unlike her sister, pheno #1, sharing the same pot, she survived the torture.
Though it stunted her noticeably, and as she frosted up, the soil remained wet, for her roots stopped drawing water.




Heres some C-dub plant Pheno #2.
This is the golden cup of stativas, imo.
Day 85.
Harvest: will wait unitl day 130+
She took the 2 weeks of 400% strength pure blend pro. She was a little burned, a little stunted, but recovered nicely. Now on a steady diet of 50% strength, every other day. Her main cola is thicker than my forearm. Just like her mother, she is one MASSIVE bud. She is a keeper, a winner, yet her four clones remain sickly!

Vintage U2 cabinet almost there. Massive ventilation, grow chamber a perfectly flat walled box. No protrusions, wires, etc. Just a flat box with a lit cealing. Its going to be a half-pipe-ssscrog. Single three gallon pot, perhaps two OB1's at a time.

Left the light on for just a minute, the ballast didnt make any sound at all. The light/ballast has yet to fully heat up however. On the other hand, my cheap 150hps bought years ago on Ebay has a generic ballast thats quiet as a stone. I figgure this should be the same, never heard a ballast hum...
Its completely dissasembled, but will be fired up soon.
...for the crown jewel is coming in the mail... Oh yeah, the Panasonic 32" HDTV sits ontop to fully stealth this so-called TV-stand!

hey Bulénath budy how goes it? sorry I think I owe you a pm reply - been very busy with holidays and what not.

The u2 is coming along nicely - I really enjoy watching the show. Thanks for the pictures of the floralux - looks like it was easy to remove the ballast from the reflector and you're going to do a fan on top of the reflector as well - awesome!

I gotta warn you about the ob1 - there is a sativa pheno (lankier - more single stem in structure) that has been going over 11 weeks now and looks like it will come down at 80+days - so look for the bushy, squat one with wide leaves as this will only take 60 days to finish.

here's pictures of the sativa pheno.




she's a friggin monster - at 7 weeks she looked like she wouldn't produce much of anything, but now she's just huge and should yield well.

The buds from the indie pheno smell like dried pineapple and have a real nice mix of body and head in the high - still a few more days in the jars before I'll be ready to give a full report.


edit: cool to hear about the ballast being quiet - I don't know what it is with my regent ballast from lowes but it hums very loudly - possibly the box I'm using to house it. I think I'm going to try and improve it while I'm not using the 150. It's really a downer as it is the loudest thing on my u2. I mean the fan and the air pumps are totally drowned out by the ballast. This means I have to run the light during the day, as the cabinet is in my bedroom and I could never sleep with it going, which is not so good for security.

The think looks like a X-mas tree covered in snow!
It wasn't easy, from what I remember, to watch the gradual change in trichome color from cloudy to amber. If it wasn't for my father, I would have chopped early for sure...133 days seems really excessive for a flowering period, and when the trichomes take so long to change, its not easy to decide when to harvest. We just went on looks alone at the point where the trichomes seemed stationary, mostly cloudy.
If the OB1 has a strong Indica trait, perhaps your stativa will be easy to harvest based on trichomes, because its very likely to finish within a reasonable time. Your plant above looks very close to the end. It seems to have those little pointed finger-like tips that, for some if not many stativas, seem to grow into a little antenna when close to harvest.
The purple in the stativa is beautiful. The 133 day stativa did the same thing, going from barely any flowers after a seemingly long, ridiculous time, then taking off and packing on the weight late into flower.
The Pineapple smell, thats something I can work with, after all I live on a 130+ year old pineapple plantation! Friend of mine harvested his C-dub strain outdoor, within the bushes of Strawberry-Guava berries called Guaivi.
Perhaps a combination of tropical climate, intense sun, high humidity caused the berry-covered ground to produce fragrant berry vapours. Anyway, the cured ganja was the best, fruitiest, totally mouthwatering flavor I ever tasted, hands down. I swear it would have won the cannabis cup in a scent contest. The fermenting, steamed berries decomposing by the masses covering the entire garden floor did something special. Very, very special.
Dont know if this could be mimicked indoors...But using fresh pineaples to somwhow increase the the pineapple falvor, could work, perhaps. Guess I will have lots of time to play with the idea.

Oh yeah, remember that I just left the light on for a very short time. I will have to put it to the full test before being 100% sure its quiet. This is soon. Aloha!

Howdy Folks, I've been busy with work and building my 400w Cabinet but while I was out today getting supplies I noticed "Princess Auto" has 150W HPS Security Lights on sale this week for $65 Canadian so I had to pick one up for later. Thought I would pop in and let all the great people in this thread know. The location I was at had a full skid worth and the sale runs from Nov 27th - Dec 02nd in the flyer. Although they were at sale price already today the 26th. That's the cheapest I've seen them near me so hopefully this helps someone out there. Guess I'll be makin a smaller cab sometime soon now....ha, and will post it here when I do. Oh and while I'm at it I picked up a cabinet from Ikea today same as the Mills Pride 22" depth 6' high. Product is called "PAX" Taxes in with door handles and 2 shelves was $225.00 Canadian. seems like the same hinges as Mills Pride. Lots of adjustment. I was gonna buy the wall mount size for my new 150w HPS but they were out of stock. Same product "PAX" just in a wall version smaller.

I notice the same Globe 150W security light at princess auto yesterday when I went looking for fans. It was on sale for 78$ from 98$ supposedly... not too bad, but I just bought one a week ago for 90$ and its not worth the trip to return it. Although if it was 65$ Id really be interested. Shouldnt the sales be the same for all stores?

Im just waiting on some clones to get them started, slowly finishing my box off. Im finishing off my outdoor girl in there now, still not done.
