igrowdadankest - That top plant is looking mighty fine. I hope it turns out to be a girl for you. She'd make a great mother. The one under her looks like she might be getting a bit too much nute for such an early age.

iriebowl - Gee, I thought I was pushing the limits with my cabinet size for a 150. Inside it measures 20.5” x 33” x 65” with the outside dimensions just slightly bigger. Of course I too use a couple of CFL's to supplement the lighting from time-to-time. And, nobody says you have to use every inch of real estate to house plants. Remember, when a commercial growers puts a 1000 watter in their basement they often don't build walls. They just use the area directly under the light. You might want to design multiple chambers. Also, I love a large space as it really helps to keep the temps in check. Throw up some pic's so we can get a look.

iriebowl: ^^^ Good advice. Of course any extra light is great, and you could probably come close to filling your cab w/what you've got plus a 150. Especially if you try LST or scroggin'. It's always nice to have a little extra room for fans and such, to slide and spin your plants around, and to stick in a heat source if needed on cold nights.

pipedream: my cab looks almost like yours in the design and shape. so maybe ill end up with something similar to that. in fact i think the dimensions are the same actually.

with my 8 cfls it gives off 13600 lumens so hows that compare to hps? or should i get 2 150hps (amazon has um for $17)

vinter: i lst all my plants so height is not a problem but width is LOL. i see your point about space since my current grow is running out of space and im only 3 weeks into flower.

iriebow - the 150 hps produces 16,000 lumens - combined with your 13,600 lumens of CFL power you should have enough light for sure - although 2 150's would be more light for less watts I imagine.

Can you post up a link to the amazon price - I hate to burst your bubble but I am betting that it is a bulb only and not the whole unit (ballast, socket, starter, bulb)

$25 includes bulb too and you just need to buy an extension cord and follow the DIY remote ballasting a security lamp link in my thread - you'll be all set as the case that comes with it also will make a decent ballast enclosure - just ask Reeferdan as he has recently built out two of these.

All are sepaerat plants the oldest is 4 or so weeks and the little ons are 2.They are going kinda slow but atleast there growing.They are getting bigger now though.

nice looking hash berry - those seem to be pretty slow veggers - do you check out levikutz hashberry journey? I have a pack of those - started two and gave them to a friend but he says they turned out male and got culled.

anyways so how much longer until you flip to 12/12 - they'll get a nice growth spurt out of the switch.

I am only going to vedge them 3 more weeks then switch to 12/12.I have found out that the plant in the middle picture is a mutant but I'm still keeping it.Hey if anyone knows were to get cheap bubble bags could you tell.I have found some on a bidding website'There are different sets but the cheapest one I found is 120$ comes with 4 bags 220 micron 160,73, and 25 micron.Also free gifts a pressing board drying board and carrying pouch.Would that be a good deal or can I get one cheaper somewere

man i hope its a full light cause my "sugar mama" just ordered 2 for me LOL. list price is $80 with 80% off so im pretty sure its a full light. now to order me a lasko/stanley blower and im just about set for my new cab.

oh yeah i was planning on making a diy cooltube for the hps but since im getting 2 now will they both fit in a bake-a-round tube? if not ill just get another bake-a-round.

next year will be fun growing with these goodies im getting now. might even order some seeds for the first time and try grow some real strains.

iriebowl That is certainly looks like an HPS bulb, but nothing in the ad says it's HPS. That is a pretty awesome price though.

well since it says "HID with sodium" im really hoping its what i think is. if it is a real 150hps then anyone in the 48 states can get free super saver shipping if you buy 2 or more, which is a steal IMO. ill see what i get on monday and get back here with the results.

That's about as cheap as they come - I paid $100 for a similar 4 bag 1 gallon set. FWIW the 25 micron is a waiste of time all the good stuff is in the 73.

Do a search around here though as I think there are cheaper alternatives - that are made for other uses- and there is always the colender and paint filter method...

irie- thats the exact same light i have in my cabinet. i wish i would have seen this before i got mine tho! still, i only paid $50 for mine, so it wasnt too bad! really easy to take apart to make it a remote balast too. good luck man!

igrowdadankest: well they all look good so it really depends on your preference on bag amount, micron size, and bucket size. im thinking about the Ice-O-Later bags on there made by weed star i think. search for a seller by the name "newunique" they make bags to but dont have any for sale at the moment.

bags are bags - as long as you have a 220 range, 160 range and a 73 range bag you'll be good to go.

I bought a couple of those 150s amazon had on sale, thanks irie. I've already got an 8 bulb cool cfl and and a remote ballasted 150 for my cab. and that's fine. But $32 for 2 150s delivered was just too good. I noticed Wally's carries a nice 59" cab for $50 now. Maybe I'll get that, paint it white inside, rig up another fan, and go perpetual. Maybe I'm just an idiot. Nice light though.
