The plants in the pics are from an unknown strain somebody gave me as clones .
I wanted to keep it as seeds , but how ? didn't have males to inbreed . More on that later .

in these pics they're all at 6 weeks, that was mor than a week ago, i thought they were never guna do anything as u can c in the pics theres nothing on them however they've really sharted to flower now and they look a lot better, i'll giv um a few mor days they take som mor pics.
wen the sex shows on the next lot of pepsi and power plant i've got going i'm guna put them in a box of soil like atmosphere said.

I put 9 seedlings under the 1K HPS night before last. I've kinda got them off to the side now, acclimating to the greatly increased light. They were under 6x26W CFL's in their own box for the first few days. They are about a week old at this point. Just some decent bagseeds, nothing fancy. I've started some other seeds as well, some of what we usually grow outdoors, and some QMD that I had. Interested to see how it goes.
As promised, a pic of the babies, and as I said, not very exciting yet:
I think this is a great, no-nonsense way to grow, as long as you can keep the plants healthy at all times. Not sure I can entirely do that, but I'll give it my best! I'm hoping I got all my botanicidal instincts out with the first seeds I started, which I'm glad to say are all flowering nicely now.
Atmosphere, those are some amazing buds! I look at growing as the most fun science project I've ever done. The rewards at the end ain't half bad, either!

Hey Flip...
Bagseed can produce outstanding bud! I think it is more likely to have sativa dominant characteristics, especially if it came from mexican brickweed. If you have a 1k watt light, it won't matter if those plants stretch a bit, your light will penetrate nicely. Bagseed always brings a surprise as it develops...almost like christmas morning...what did I get? what did I get?!
I have 8 seedlings going at present, 3 different strains (northern lights by Nirvana, and Fruitbowl & Hazeskunk by Sunshine Seeds), and they are about 12 days old, each sitting about 2 inches below their own 26 watt warm-white CFL. I'm hoping to get a girl from each strain so I can get a nice varied harvest. I'll get a pic up later, boring, but what the hell.

Yeah, get those pics up if you can. I'd be interested to see how they look compared to mine...pretty close to being the same age. Are mango an indica dominant strain?

What up dude? I'm hoping that female ratio works out also, I think I should be ok..only need 3 girls out 8 seedlings, and the normal ratio is 50/50, and I'm pretty sure, like atmosphere says, that starting seeds off with 12/12 increases the female to male ratio.
The only change I am making in the process is switching to larger pots...the last 2 grows I was using real small pots (about 1 liter), this time I'm going to use some that are approximately 1 gallon. Still going to use the same CFL set up, but gonna add a few to what I used last time, will probably have about 12 CFL's of 26 watts each surrounding the 3 plants. I can't wait until I get myself a nice HPS, gonna go the digital direction, probably 400 watt.

Amazing ! This year i suddenly see lots of growreports on 12/12 from seed grows on the dutch forums. If i take a look at the previous years and count the number of growers that tried it ,its becomes very clear we got this thing really going now.
at least what ever you grow will be better, then lowryders

I have to say that I am totally amazed at the difference in growth when I have the seedlings under the 1K. Even though the plants are only getting 12 hours of light, they are leaps and bounds ahead of plants growing under 20 hours of fluoro light. It seems every time I look at them, they are bigger and have more leaves. If nothing else, this has prompted me to get an HID light for veg much sooner than I would have. Going to transfer some more down to the flower room tonight, have another 12 seedlings to try, of a different variety of bagseed. These were large, striped and very vigorous seeds which are developing rapidly. I'm hoping that this latest batch, minus all the males which show up, will fill my cabinet efficiently as they grow. As soon as the weather breaks for sure, I will be building my permanent flower space, which will be capable of 4 4'x4' rooms, each with a 1K HPS. I am going to build a flip-flop for 2 ballasts. Might start off with that and the ballast I have now, then get another as things ramp up. I want to try using coco and some "boughten" strains on this method.

Coco mixed through your soil is great, its spreads the water rapidly .

Looking back a few yrs i grew some haze/nl5 my own cross on 12/12 unintentionly.I was shutting down my grow in about 3mnts for a long holiday and i started 40 seed just to get an idea how they had come out geneticly .also i had a spare 5ftx 5ft bay under 1000mh sylvania 3.7 k
every thing else was on 12 hrs so just thought see how they do .
They took 82 days start finnish and were about 5ft tall.not leggy atall .yield 980 g i felt that the potency was 7/10 the f/m ratio was better under 12/12 23 fems from 40 seeds when tried again but 18hr mothers from 40 seeds up i got 18 fems .a friend had 100 seeds from me he"d seen the 12/12 result he got 63 fems from 98 up on 12/12. he was using 1000 hps and his plants were over 6 ft yield 1760g .but 85 days same potency but 2 1kw hps bays both 5ft/5ft
my buds were tighter my plants shorter and darker leaves .and never fell over in there hydroton pots like his did !and better average yield at 3days earlier finnish.he got upset when i said what do you exspect with street lighting
