Think I jinxed it the sucker must have gotten cold and just sputtered out just tried a few straight into upside down rooters. First time trying them out for propagation and will stick to straight peat from now on as I have better luck. Others are in damp paper towels and will go in peat pots once they pop.

Chopped my last Zamaldelica, the thai/zamal pheno at 17 weeks. Very thin stems (all needed stalking) and thin leafs. All leafs had turned bright yellow, many fan leafs dropped or wilted, tips of sugar leafs started wilting too. She had a few white pistils left on foxtails near the tip, but only very few and I saw some amber here and there so I decided it was time. And she was a good yielder too.

The smell not so Zamaldelica typical. Not as much fruit, strong sour/pepper aromas with some spices and something sharp mixed in.

I'm excited to see how this one will smoke!

Next Monday will mark roughly nine weeks since my 8 Zamaldelica seedlings first sprouted. One has already started showing her pre flowers. Another is trying to show, not sure what it is yet so I'll just wait before announcing.

From reading in this thread I believe I have five that are Zamal dominant phenos based off of the leaf structure, including the one that's showing female pre flowers. I have one that is Thai pheno for sure and the other two look as though they could be influenced by Malawi due to the leaf shape and stem smell based off of what I read.

I'm very excited for sure. Will continue the updates and possible pictures when things get fun.

Filled up my 5' x 5' x 7' Sativa tent with almost all Zamal, the one on the left is Chemdog. Photo is right before I flipped to 12/12 and added my second layer screen. They are about 24"-30" inches right now at 6 days into flowering. Some nice looking Zamals people have been posting lately, :tiphat:.

So my larger Zamaldelica finished six weeks of flower yesterday and she is showing a nitrogen deficiency that is not apparent in the smaller Zamaldelica (germinated same time but flowered a week later). I grow in coco and use General Hydroponics Maxi-Bloom. She is in a five gallon pot that is way too small for her size 4'x5' and 6.5' tall from the soil. She does have some tip burn that you can see in the flower photo. She has been extremely vigorous compared to the other Z, her stalk is easily four times thicker than the other. Is this normal for these or should I supplement the nitrogen?

This sounds like the pheno I have. I just staked it and my finger tips became black with resin and now I smell like somebody sprayed me with lemon patchouli.
Tomorrow will start the 15th week of her flowering cycle.
Most of the trichomes are clear while a few of the lower buds have some cloudy.
It seems she had a sweet fruity smell a few weeks ago but now has a light pungent lemon-carrot aroma.
Have you smoked a sample yet?

Azure great job you are doing there on the Zam! I'd take her now....all hairs red and leaves are fading looks done to me. Not sure you will get many cloudy trichomes on the sativas.... Gonna pop these next week cannot wait! have you smoked off it yet?

I just tested a bud and it's very calm, clear and happy. I can't stop grinning! haha Just took two tokes from a bowl. Really high with no anxiety that I'm susceptible to. Looks like I'll be taking some more buds tomorrow.

Zamaldelica male selection:

#5: fat dark green leaves, short internodes, the smallest, indica like and quick flower. Strong smell like wood. Malawi dominant?

album.php

#14: Thin light green leaves, long crazy internodes, tallest and most vigorous. Smells like lemon but more citric. Thai dominant?

album.php

#15: sharped light green leaves, good production of flowers that turn red/purple in a flowering time very short. Smells like mango but strong citric.

album.php

I used the males to make seeds whit 3 NYCD (Soma) sativa pheno. In a few weeks seeds have to appear.

Female selection doesn't start yet. Hope next mounth flower rooms it's in conditions.

Thanks for your help!

Saludos Che!
