Growing Zam fems in a tent . . .

I have read a lot of threads & posts on this thread & I am confused. So many of the grows are outdoor monsters. I want one or two reasonable plants indoors. I just had a totally out of control Dr Grinspoon which I don’t need to repeat & I want to finish these properly.

I grow in a 4x4 tent with 5ft available for the above ground portion of the plant until it hits light burn. I grow with LED lighting & coco/perlite & I was planning on 5 gallon cloth pots (actually filled with about 3 gallons of media). I assumed 12/12 from seed & I can top once or twice. I can bend & shape them somewhat if needed but I want them to stay manageable.

So . . . Zamaldelica growers . . . is that a good plan or should I attempt the multiple transplant method or grow one for clones & grow those . . . ? I am just finishing my outdoor grow so I am getting close to bean popping. Thanks.

14 weeks

She hits 14 weeks tomorrow and pistols have ambered up well. Tricomes cloudy and starting to pop ambers. Plan is to go 1 more week and finish with no more watering after today and finish 36 hrs in dark.
Community advice has been awesome so please chime in with finishing plan.

Sounds like a good plan based off my 1x experience. I ran my girls into 8 gallon buckets, used LED, topped 1 time, LST using bamboo to fill most of a same size tent. But I vegged 5 weeks. I flipped to 11/14 and my version is running 15 weeks. But this is my 1st, so take with a grain of salt

12/12 is a good regime
One re pot should be enough.Getting her to root bound fast, regardless when she preflowers, must be assisted with good a medium. You need to help her with that (rooting),so she becomes more manageable later on
Knowing your space, and, conditions being perfect, good medium, nutrients,a vigorous growth for you to top,LST etc my friend

Zamaldelica outdoors, not a monster
June starter, root bound happened fast(depth of patio),manageable from day one without issues, like an indoor
Soil was mixed with a handful of perlite to assist fast rooting
picture.php

Golden Tiger is a monster, because my dog had dug a 6ft tunnel in that corner
Filled up the hole with soil when GT went out
Maybe its about a healthy rooting system, and,not a good looking plant?

12/12 would be a bad idea with a thai leaning pheno, but I don’t think they are as frequent in fem as they are in standard seeds.

What are the terpenes like on this one? Looking thai-ish I think. I didn't have the patience to truly finish the Thai but yours is looking on track. I'm not personally a fan of extended continuous dark periods but reducing under 12/12 did help a little bit for ripening.

Also, assuming I am expecting a harvest middle November......

How have you guys best utilized feeding to maximize production during this part of flowering?

I will say, my zamaldelica is a Nute Gobbler.

Have about a lb of Zami that has been curing for a few months.
I opened the jar and was almost knocked down by the wonderful aroma.
Gave some to my yard man. He went home I hope.
I'm not quite sure he knew where he was!!!!! :)

zamal phenos are easier to identify, they semi flower in restricted pots, have thin leaves, octopus branching that makes no main colas, and a terpene description that matches with what Dubi describes the Zamaldelica elite, sweet carrots with a refined floral aroma.

for scary it depends on what you mean by scary. IMO the zamal pheno I had was very trippy and energizing but not scary, I could see it freaking out a lower tolerance user easily though.

for me the scary pheno was the one influenced by the Meao Thai used in the original GT father. it looked like a hybrid with a huge stature and would not stop flowering from seed. harvested after 14 weeks from seed IIRC maybe 12 from clone. it consistently had an effect that was extremely strange and unsettling. cold without the tripping, it felt like a whole bunch of nervous energy or a bad light shroom trip.

I crossed it with GDP to see if I can put that deep heavy feeling to use behind an indica high, I did not like it by itself compared to the sister pheno. it's weird having that effect from a sativa.

Malawi phenos fall more to the zamal description and are a little harder to tell from zamal. I would still bank on the semi flowering and heavy branching to tell them apart. Malawi tends to be more woody, oil, and high resin with huge ovaries. Indeed my Zamal pheno showed the good traits from Malawi also.

Good info thank you.

I think I know what you mean by “octopus branching.”

Hey Dubi!

Does Zamaldelica exhibit strong senescence response?

I’m growing outdoors and am starting to notice it’s characteristically dark green leaves yellow rather quickly.

The terps weren't that strong, light floral when stroked, but post dry and cure has increased floral aroma.
Neighborhood advice helped me result in a yield of a PB xs 7z, and only soak to harvest in 5 1/2 months. Harvested lower at 14 weeks and rest are 15. Buds be rather fluffy and conical looking. Very unique to me. Early sample of 14 weeker tells me I found my new wake and bake ritual. What a difference from the heavy eyed indica morning.
Used CS on one clone and pollen sacks just open just opening. Using 2nd clone to pollen and saving rest until next year. 3rd clone flowered early and growing much more compact then octopus branching #2. Cool run

Can you guys post some pre-chop photos of your Zamaldelicas?

I'm gonna chop soon but want some reference photos. I know there are prolly tons in this thread but they are just too hard to hunt out.
