Wow, looking great for such youngsters, SolarL. Keeping us well entertained/fed;)
Thanks DWD. Unfortunately, all the thai are males. 3 of the zam are males, so I'm waiting on 2 zam and 3 vb to show. This morning, I found a branch broken on wild thai #2, cutworms I believe. The entire branch, about 14" is like bamboo, hollow all through, but the hemp fibers are some of the strongest I've come across.
I'm currently flowering some Afghan x Malawi. After testing them, I will choose a clone and pollinate her with some wild thai. I still plan to collect all the pollen from the males, preserve them, then test them on various females. I will certainly keep this updated. I have some Purple PCK x Honduran and C5xKC to replace the thai with in the greenhouse for the winter grow.
Thanks for stopping by my friend.
Peace, God bless

I didn't even realize the Killera5 x VB are fems... That just bumped their priority to sooner. I didn't wanna waste males... wow awesome

Zam 1

As I mentioned, Zam 1-3 are males, as all of the thai. Zam 1 has both male and female traits, as she is shooting hairs out at all the nodes.

It's hard to see the two hairs sticking out of the two calyxes above my thumb.

Just a short update.
Peace, God bless

Sorry if you’ve already posted this elsewhere. Can you share you pollen storing technique with us? What’s the oldest pollen you’ve successfully used?

Greetings my friend. I have not posted my method on here and have not preserved anything over a year. The method I use is from an old thread here. I couldn't find it last night, but I'll keep looking and post the link when I find it. The instructions on the thread would be better than me repeating it and the original author should have the credit.

Peace, God bless

Ah ok thanks! Is this the thread you’re referring to?

Here it is and it's actually not that old, I found around January, it's by DouglasCurtis and it's on making fem pollen. I only used his instructions on storing pollen. I'm hoping this method will allow me to keep pollen more than a year. Very, very informative read, I highly recommend it.

On the reversing issue, my clones all stretched about 6 foot in height. I don't know if it's the CS that does it or because mine took forever to finally do something.

Peace, God bless

I'd say the C5 crosses can be lanky; gave KC some legs;) From what I saw on UMLW's thread, the Hashplant Haze x is also long legged. Have to go back and see how those are doing;o)

Vietnamese Black

I haven't posted on the Vietnamese Black or the Zamaldelica for a while. The reason is, there hasn't been much to report. I put both in soil with guano and ewc and that is it. They don't drink much water at this early stage, so watering maybe once a week. Other than that, spraying night and evening for white flies. They are beginning the second week of flower. I have 2 Vietnames Black females and 1 male. I have 2 Zamaldelica females and 2 males, the 5th was culled/male that developed calyxes and pistils. I will report on the VB tonight and get pics of the zams tomorrow.
The 2 VB

I had to order a new probe for my pH meter, which took a week. I couldn't pH the water and this one showed some potassium deficiencies. I received the probe and she is back on track, good new growth:

Vietnamese Black are really beautiful SE Asian plants. They have all been in new pots for a couple weeks now and growing noticeably each day. They are starting to drink a little more water, but no nutrients, just the guano and ewc in the soil. I may top dress them at they get about 2 more weeks into flower.
VB

Killer A5xVB

They will go in the greenhouse after this weekend. The extra humidity at night and warmer temps inside should help them really take off.
Thank you again Mr. D for these genetics, they are really a joy to grow. With all I have going on this time of year, it's really nice not having to fuss with these, I can leave them in a sunny spot and they are good to go.
Peace, God bless

Zamaldelica

Zamaldelica

Zamaldelica were potted up about a week ago. They are feeding off of the guano and ewc in the soil. They got a fresh dose at transplant and will get top-dressed in a few weeks.
Zam #2

Zam #5

I think 5 leans malawi, but it will be easier to tell once they are further along into flower, it's still pretty early.
I collected pollen from an early male (the closest one in focus). He finished dropping his pollen at the same time as the 4 thai:

This guy is just starting to drop his pollen:

I have a clone of my Zamal leaning ZamPan in week 2 flower and she will get pollinated with zamaldelica so I can have a male to keep the zampan going (they're fem seeds).
The OE I destroyed (crossed it with green PCK) was crossed with my Thai leaning GT and a female from that cross got pollinated with the 1 male Zamaldelica, so a double dose of both Malawi and Thai coming soon.
Thanks for stopping by.
Peace, God bless

Vietnamese Black Purple pheno

Vietnamese Black Purple pheno

I have a purple pheno of my VB. I have researched and I cannot find any information about a purple pheno VB. I asked Mr. D, who works with this pure strain and he has not heard of a purple. So, it seems I may have something rare, unique. The one time I did not take a clone. I took 3 cuts from her 9 days ago while she is in full flower. In 9 days, she has roots, lots of healthy roots.

This is the 9th day since taking those cuts. I never have this kind of luck rooting from flower. This girl is something special I tell you. Here was the mom last week. I'll get fresh pics up tomorrow.
Peace, God bless

Very cool. I have a double lemon pie that’s looked like Columbian or maybe Thai landrace since it’s first leaves. Thing is a MAJOR throwback to the jungle.. crinkled leaves w/weird C deficiency and all. She even semi-Auto flowered when hit with cold rootbound conditions.
Would have pitched her because she seemed stunted but damn... EVERY surface of the plant has been sandpapery and sticky since seedling. Stem to tip.

I have a feeling it’s a recombinant throwback from the skunk on both sides of double lemon pie. I took cuts, they’re covered in resin from beginning flower and reverting:woohoo:

The mother is currently building steam to get flowered next run and I’ll see just what’s up.

Greetings Yukon,
I just saw your post, I've been a way harvesting still. Here is the VB today. Her stems and now leaves are purple as the calyxes. Makes me wonder if she will look black when she dries. Besides the 3 clones I took, I have a branch full of seed from a green VB male. They are in week 10 of flower.

Those 3 clones with the flowers on top that rooted in 9 days, now on day 17 have grown 5 nodes from the top of the flower and almost an inch long branches on the lower node above flower. This is one vigorous girl!

Zamaldelica

Zamaldelica

Here is the Zamaldelica. It's hard to see because the greenhouse is so crowded, especially with the 2 OTH trees I have planted in there.
The first one has that unmistakable mango carrot, but no pepper yet. They are in about week 10 of flower.

The second one have very faint smells, but very sticky. She is also turning purple from the weather, about 52F in the mornings.

I"ll update on her smells later when she gets closer to ripening.'
Peace, God bless

Both my other OTH, the 13 foot bush is a purple haze. She has really filled out my greenhouse. It's been overcast and rainy the past couple days, but is going to be sunny again tomorrow and for a while. I'll get better pictures then, a lot of the pictures I took today I couldn't use, even with the flash going off.

Very beautiful plants. Ive never seen black cannabis, dark purple is still a very desired trait, obviously. What luck to have seeds of those little ladies and laddies. Cant wait to see how she smokes, and experience in smoking that line?

Thanks Ncali,
I've got a couple more to post. This is the OE I murdered, I crossed a couple. Here she is crossed with GT. She has been pollinated with Zamaldelica, so a double dose of Thai and Malawi.

Here is another OE/PCK (green pheno) pollinated with Thai

And I hired someone to protect my plants

Purple Haze

Purple Haze

So, as I mentioned, both OTh are purple. OTH1 is the shorter of the two and will finish first it looks like. They have a ways to go, but #4 is much farther behind in flower and late also showing purple. She should go well into January I'm sure.
Here they are bowing to each other in the GH. Initially I had to tie them down, but now I have to support the branches from the weight.

OTH 1

OTH 4

A small branch had broken last week and was dying on both hazes, so I picked them. I tried #4 today. I was able to get two joints out of each branch. I smoke both joints of #4 today, not really expecting much, but she already has a lot of potency. Smoke was a little harsh as expected, but taste haze and the high was great. Bit of a creeper she is. Half way through the joint my lips were smeared in brown resin from the end of the sticky joint. Very high in euphoria and you can feel the heart quickening, energy pulsing throughout with that feeling she could go either way on you. I think she has quite the potential. Everything was bright, very clear and colorful. Perfect time for outdoors; for me, walking the dog.
I will smoke the #1 this evening. Even though they are both far from mature, #1 is a lot more mature and more resin. I have high hopes for her:tiphat:
