We usually get a few light ones in October and hope to grow until the end of the month. Some years the middle of the month is all we get.
Your "town" finally gets a stoplight and everyone shows up with coolers and lawn chairs to watch the installation.

Folks I get hate mail from various nuts from time to time. Visitors have repeatedly asked me to put them on my site. I have hesitated over the years to do so because of the nasty language used. There are some ignorant humans out there that were raised to be a void surrounded by a sphincter muscle. Some are highly entertaining, to me anyway. I can usually tell they are from college kids who think they know everything there is about life, most must have been raised by women or something."
