Sign, signs, everywhere there's signs
Blocking out the scenery
Breaking my mind...

Best sign I've seen in quite some time.

@ Bud Sr. There was sort of a compromise, pigs are now pets and he’s raising cattle. He’s old school. By the way, about the one that got away, probably farm humor.

it's VERY easy to tell the difference between an alligator & a crocodile; one will see you later, and the other in a while.......

that's a croc btw :)

I was thinking

ground up corn
water
baking soda or baking powder

375 for 10 to 15 minutes

then I looked it up -

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, plus butter for baking dish
1 cup cornmeal
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 cups buttermilk

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/moist-and-easy-cornbread-recipe.html?oc=linkback

It says 425 for 20 to 25 minutes.

That's about exactly what I use for making pot cookies !

easy to remember :woohoo:

Yep, got to go with what's in season, fruit & vegie wise.

Looking for blackberries. Guess I cut down the major producers when I was clearing some brush. Guess I should have left an old vine or 2.

Well in the NE the only thing close to a meat pie might me a hot pocket or a corndog.

in the NY/NJ area lots of pizza or chicken joints carry these delicious beef patties.......

towerisle1_zpshwcskos2.jpg

back in the '80s these were only $1 across the counter, the 5oz patty must be about $3 by now, but loaded with meat (that pic on the package is what you got) they seemed well worth the price charged.

EDIT: These are readily available on the east coast if you like that sort of thing in your diet from time to time (I wouldn't live on them though), they are exceptionally tasty too, I've only had the Mild & Spicy type of Tower Isles beef patties, the spicy is preferred and imho would be tolerated by 85-90% of the population, I'd be interested in trying their curry chicken patties; and so, what I'm really trying to get at here is that you might convince your grocer to carry them, and then you might have the adult version of 'Hot Pockets' ready in your freezer.

Bit it is so easy to make. Home made and tasty.

You can make ahead and freeze pie crusts. Dough or pizza crust.

Think of all the things you can put in them.

Got some brisket BBQ sause and brtisket on a pizza.

Got chicken or turkey. Add a little Celery salt sage salt pepper. Pot pie.
Got a bit of left over lamb. Bam meat pie. You can work a bit of dried mint and apple jelly into the crust.
