After I recently harvested some G13, and Sour Bubble, I decided i'd make some high quality indica dry-sift from the frosty trim leaves.
The first thing I do to ensure quality, is make sure the trim is to my desired dryness. A lot of folks make it when the trim is totally dry, which I believe will lead to more leaf crumbling, and vegative material in the hash.
So, I dry it to about 90% dry, so the trim leaves are still slightly pliable and don't crumble.
I then freeze the trim so the trichs are brittle.
Then, for my first run, I tend to shake it and gently move it across the silkscreen (Speedball silkscreen purchased at Michael's with coupon) without rubbing too hard or breaking it up very much. I'll be more vigorous on my 2nd and 3rd runs of hash, but this gets me a very pure 1st run.
I only made about 1.5-1.75 grams of dry-sift on the first run, as I wanted to make sure i was nice and clean. Check out the trich pile:
I like how you can see individual gland heads toward the edges of the pile.
I then loaded up the dry-sift hash into my new hash press, which I ALSO got from Micheal's with a coupon. Check out this thread by Pipedream for more info on the press. It works great!

So with just a gentle warming, and no real serious heat applied, I knocked out a happy little puck of hash using dimes as the pressing plates. See:
Here's a better look at the puck, which is the thickness of about 2-3 dimes stacked.
And a closeup of the cross-section of the puck, after I broke off a lil taste:
It's VERY hard and solid, and snaps when I break off a bit. Pretty light colored inside.
This stuff is REAL potent and flavorful. Knocks the hell outa me.
Now I'll try for some 2nd and 3rd run dry-sift from the same trim. I'll either mix that stuff in joints, or use it for some chocolate. Then I'll get what's left of the glands by making some oil or tincture.

yum...I really like the look of that hash puck, bro. It looks like a piece of granite stone or something.....really cool. I'm sure that's really potent stuff too. Looks tastey as hell.

Going back to the first few pages i do like you stash tin alot csb, ever since i first saw it on og, i thought now that is what i call a class looking stash tin ,another member from og had that same tin to. Who it was though i cant remember now .And sugarbear thanks alot for post that thing you can use for a press, that is one cool bit of kit .
