its a fair point, they go out of their way to back Trumps statements while ignoring all the times he messed up, like when he said it was gonna disapear to zero just before it exploded in the US. but the part that intrigues me is the stuff about the genetics and the fact that these viruses were being studied very close to where they first infected someone. so to me it's not so far fetched to think someone done fucked up at that lab. but i actually hope it's not the case, we just need someone to make a video with a virologist specialist explaining why its no way connected to the viruses studied by chinese bat woman in the bio weapons lab in wuhan.

It'll be a tough one to find since a scientist would never claim evidence from a negative- ie one can't prove unequivocally that the virus wasn't from a lab.

All we can do is pile on the evidence that shows the very close genetic similarities to other beta-carona viruses found elsewhere, and educate people on how these viruses can change over time to show it's perfectly logical that these are a result of natural selection.

Shi Zheng-Li - the "bat woman" everyone keeps mentioning, has published some interesting work on coronoa viruses, and her lab was the first to sequence the SARS-CoV-2 genome

Can't read a cladogram but an expert on viral origins.

Points where lines diverge (Y) indicate a shared ancestor. The cladogram shows clearly that SARS-CoV-2 didn't come from SARS, although they do share a common ancestor (they are all corona viruses).

You should go and play with the nextstrain website, lots of tools there that shows all sorts of interesting things, including the above.

No spoon feeding pablum though. You need to be a big boy & learn to do your own research.

I've stayed out of this thread for the most part.

And Shaggy will back me up that I bust his balls constantly for his conspiracy theories.

Something stinks about this whole thing.

There's a guy I follow on youtube (and I hate that I have to use this as a reference) who does a really good job of breaking down articles and studies and follows the data. He backs up everything with links and encourages his followers to question everything with a critical eye.

He has been 100% on point for as long as I've been watching him, some 5 weeks now.

He paints a pretty interesting picture about CV19s origins.
