They never were.
They have integrated, are working, and are doing well, according to the interviews with employers and statement by the mayor.
The problem is that Springfield has been on the decline for a while.
I am guessing that there are a lot of unemployed people who are watching them buying cars and improving their position.

They already thrive on anger and fear... if jealousy finds its way in there it's bound to be the site of the first battle of Civil War II.

musk won't let anything go to far. He needed trump to win so he could have someone to do what's best for musk. Now that he has that, he wants a stable America. An America in chaos is not good for business. They have plenty of money to spread around to get the influencers to calm the maga down.

As of Tuesday, Musk's profile name on X is Kekius Maximus. His avatar features Pepe the Frog, a popular online character, dressed in ancient Roman attire and holding a video game controller.
Pepe the Frog rose to prominence on the message board site 4chan during President-elect Donald Trump's first presidential campaign. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) listed Pepe the Frog a hate symbol in September 2016, calling it the "Alt Right's favorite meme."

wouldn't count on that. robotic welders are already doing much of the critical jobs out there, as well as menial stuff like automotive industry tack welding etc. much of what is done by humans NOW could already be done by robots, but isn't because it would be so disruptive. govt ammunition plant near here could be emptied out of humans virtually, but those jobs support communities for miles around.

On the Monday episode of his War Room podcast, Bannon decided to weigh in.
"We haven't fought these battles over years and years and years to allow American citizens of every race, ethnicity, religion, be gutted by the sociopathic overlords in Silicon Valley," Bannon said.
"There's no reform. We want it gone.… We want reparations for the tech workers that you stole their lives," he continued.
"We're gonna get H-1B visas out, root and stem, and all the workers you brought in. Just like we're deporting 15 million here, we want them deported, out, and give those jobs to American citizens today."
"We demand they get reparations," he added. "You stole from them."

not five out of a hundred US citizens are bright enough to do that work, and maybe two of them have the needed education. and THOSE people are making more $$ that Muskrat will pay... Bannon is NOT one of those people, he's so damn stupid that it makes my hair hurt.
