that sucks to hear, i was looking for an old school headband type of herb and was close to buying some from him. and his IG has some dope pictures of large plants… $200 is definately steep but not out of this world. i think $100 a pack is the new norm for most seeds. i gave swampboyz 180 a pack for one of their cherry pie crosses but then he hooked me up with 3 free packs and some T's so I'm not complaining lol.

the concentrates market is something to watch as well. the qwiso is super easy and the heat purged product (if made from good stuff) is so strong some ppl can'r smoke it daytime. we are making reconstituted hash from oily qwiso mixed with kief, dry rub, coffee grinder dark buds. vets, ppl from lebanon all say it's excellent in all aspects. we got it down to a gooey hard black tar presentation.

we are going to see entire countries turning out concentrates. super concentrated, stealth smell. the vape revolution looks like it's continuing to build; super druggy, techy, trendy, easy on the lungs and so stealthy that i've got ppl vaping qwiso wax in front of cops and security guards at nfl football games no problem, going down the road sucking vape in their cars, vaping at work in front of their boss. we had an un-heatpurged wax from qwiso that had a sativa high from our sativa landraces that was super stealthy in high effects. the heat purged qwiso is stronger and more debilitating.

outdoor grows will produce enormous amounts of concentrates from every country on the planet and be much easier to stealth ship into lucrative markets. perhaps the next great revolution (that's already well underway) in recreational and medical cannabis.

Totally agree...The vape industry is the way of the future. All things vape - Pens, oils, shatter, wax, honey : EXTRACTS.

Extracts are currently having a big impact on the MJ market balance in that it is another wholesale outlet and I might add, right now it seems to be a more stable price market than flowers. It used to be just shade leaves ie; rough trim discards but now extractors are targeting the $600.00 to $900.00 flower price range that lower end, less skilled growers are offering as it still produces a decent THC percentage. Within a pound of skag can lie an oz or so of oil extract. The oil extracts, even made from lower quality trim/buds can fetch $20 to $40 per gram in the city so the extractor boys are still making their dime using the more inferior buds instead of the trash. Popcorn trim is making an ideal extract material also.

If you research the vape pen market, you can easily see that extracts are the next new thing. More healthy, stealthy, opens up a whole new world in edibles manufacturing possibilities and shipping, well you can imagine the new marketing strategies that are coming into play. As processing equipment and methods improve, which is to say when we stop blowing ourselves up, the extract biz will deff be a player...

Not sure whether the booming extract biz is a good thing or a bad thing when it comes to the flower market. In one way, the extractor guys are clearing out the lower end junk from the market which allows the higher quality growers a shot at more respectable, fair price for their upper end products but Ive found extract middlemen now trying to convince the better growers that their stuff is only of extract quality.

Call me crazy but I imagine a time when flower prices are so low (we may already be there) that processing your good buds into extracts might bring as much or more $$ if, you consider youre cutting out all your curing and trim labor time which is a huge overhead...

Look at it this way...The farmer growing soy beans spends all his time driving a tractor while the guy who processes the beans into oils and such, he be cruisin in a Caddy...cc

Ya know, my daddy used to tell me, 'You dont go out hunting the first couple weeks of hunting season son. That's when all the city boys are out blowing the shit out of anything that moves and that might be you too. Give em a couple weeks, theyll get discouraged and go home..."

The first harvest wave to hit the market is the same deal. All the wannabe-growers, junk growers, part timers and those who have no clue as to what theyre doing run to the market just days after cut down. Theyre usually broke-dick by the end of the season and looking to off their nuked beyond recognition, little or no flush, no cure time and very little trimmage stuff as soon as possible..

Once all the junk clears out, usually around end of Feb and the noobs and conscience-lacking grow-hacks go home, the middlemen/buyers have no choice but to buy the better stuff at the higher more fair prices... and once again, gro-market sanity is restored, such as it is...cc

^^^ if that were truly the case the prices in the bay area would be considerably higher than the so cal desert/high desert, yet the opposite is true in this instance. I get what you're saying though bro, the fire is a lot cheaper in wa/or...but a lot of the times I think it lacks the funk a little bit, so it doesn't carry the same amount of value....a lot of the cheaper/lower quality stuff that goes around is unflushed garbage that smokes like crap too...bottom line you get what you pay for, and some folks still get top dollar regardless of location due to a demand for high quality meds.

The price of indoor reflects an area's electricity cost, for the most part.

Colorado is experiencing a price drop too, price crash is expected there soon. Elecricity will actually become cheapest in California once people start establishing permanent facilities. Solar power is going to be a big deal here

ya Id laugh in his fucking face.. go up.. ask him about a strain.. then ask him price. and start laughing in his face.. tell him. NONE and I mean NONE of your genetics.. are worth that.. not SEED.. sorry dude.. your on a EGO TRIP.. the best breeders in the game don't charge that much why? because u can make more off seeds with a good rep at low prices.. especially if your harvesting 10000s of seeds per harvest..

and this dude wants to make like 50 grand a plant? fuck LOOMPA

colorado predicting some rock bottom prices for their rec markets soon, claiming indoors as low as 1200 and that open sun will be around 350 for some mega corp weed.

CO is really fucking up the game with their endless permits and no caps on permit holders.

Government pigs have no moral right to sanction or prohibit the farming activities of free people.

If the price reaches $1 per lb, I better be able to process enough lbs into oil to feed my belly. If not I can get a job flipping burgers or working Walmart like the rest of the country.

Well, their quality is already meh. Can't see it getting better in that situation. For some reason, maybe its the constant 15% RH, rec bud that I've tried in CO is almost all too dry to smoke pleasurably.
