Hey Chunky, are you messing with this stuff at all? I've been reading the Male clones transformed to Female to judge male smoking quality thread and getting excited about reversing males into female to see what structure and terpene profile they contribute in a cross. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=99597 I figured it would be right up your alley if you haven't looked into it yet.

no, I've yet to go all chemical tranny style.

will that floral work to turn female male too?

you need to untarp your greenhouse once it's dark out,no ? so it's getting airflow at night.

Chemical Jenners!?!?!??
That's the one thing I'm scared about light dep..... airflow...
Spot is 100% offgrid, so might not be a option for me. Cheers everyone

I've heard of people getting up in the middle of the night to pull the tarp off for a couple of hours. I don't know about all that mess though. Talk about time consuming.

Right!! Hard for me cause it's at a relatives house. Just do as normal and hope to make it to harvest!! Luckily not relying on it. More for fun!

I thought most folks pulled the tarp at 7pm and then uncovered it at 10pm and then left it alone until 7pm the next day when they re cover.

Yes you should pull the tarp if you can after the sun sets, or install some type of vent that doubles as a light trap. A long piece of ducting on each end that is bent a couple of times works well. They also sell breathable black out fabric which works really well. Not sure what time the sun rises where you are, but you would just pull tarp accordingly and then uncover after sun down. Then it is all ready in the morning. And won't trap the moisture.

I would be worried about light leaks from the back light at the house or something like that. I would rather pull tarp than leave it to chance I guess. I still need to rig up a 4" inline fan and some ducting. I don't think it would be hard at all, it's just a matter of getting around to it.

Thanks for the input fellahs

6/27 BLR, finally get long enough to train through the cage.

6/28 Went back around the outside of the raised beds with more layers of burlap. Hopefully that should slow down evaporation and protect the roots more from the elements.

6/29 Dank Zappa seedlings. Bottom row, second from the right is already my favorite. It's noticeably darker than most other seedlings. The cotyledons and first set of leaves are dark, almost purple/black already. Fingers crossed for a '86 UW Black HP leaning mom.

Thanks for stopping in.

Unfortunately I have some potential bullshit on my plate and I need help identifying what's going on. My first reaction is, Broads? Hemp Russets? Cyclomen or whatevers? I sure as fuck hope not.

The clone in question is an OGKB 2.0 that just only had some roots kicking out of the cube last night. It was looking rough but I decide to plant it and see if it took I thought that it was leaning because of the shock to the dry air so I put a makeshift humidity dome over it last night. The one in question is the shitty looking one second from the right on the bottom with the shitty droopy leaves in the following picture.

picture.php

Today the clone was noticeably drooping more and I noticed what looked like brown fungus or something on the stem. I had noticed it yesterday but though maybe it was fungus. I sprayed all the clones with a weaker IPM spray of seaweed extract, buildasoil's essential oil blend, aloe, and yucca to see if that wouldn't take care of it. Today it looked worse and I scoped it with a magnifying glass and sure as shit the "fungus" had moving mites or whatever. The following pictures are from about 30 minutes ago. I threw that clone in the trash after seeing what was on it. I have maybe another GG4 clone with a similar thing going on on the very top of the clone. It's not as bad but maybe similar thing going on. Any other clones have either no signs of this going on at all or extremely minimal if that.

Make sure your soil has adequate copper. If not use dutchhmaster zone. It will help aid in defense against fungus and other diseases.

Fungus doesn't worry me though. Tiny mite looking things in a mass big enough to LOOK like fungus worries me. What are your thoughts one way or the other as to what these are Tessa? Thanks brotha mang.

O damn I see them now...Ive never seen mites do that...Bas oil @15ml/g didnt melt them? Start blasting them every other day...find their eggs to id those bastards
