That is a good movie. I had not thought of it in many years.

I watched The Railway Man the other day. Some brutal scenes and the story unfolds in flashbacks.

Yeah, after watching "Farewell to the King" the other other night, I decided to check out more John Milius movies and that one caught my eye. It was a good flick.

I'm about 50% sure I saw The Railway Man when it came out. I even just watched the trailer, but I'm not positive lol. Might give it a rewatch...

Yup round the same age if I remember right.

Only Captain Horatio Hornblower was from the 50's. Didn't think I was going to like it, but I dig any seafaring movie. Couple nights ago I watched Moby Dick. I remember almost dying of boredom seeing it in 10th grade English class, but I guess our tastes change as we get older. There was a Gregory Peck marathon on last week, so I recorded both movies.

I bet you'd like Farewell to the King, which I think is a totally underrated movie from 1989. Stars Nick Nolte. Check it out.

White Sands (1992) Crime Thriller starring Willem Dafoe, Mickey Rourke and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. I feel like I've been dropped back into the 90's haha.

I'll watch it later and feel thirty years younger.
:D

I started to watch Guns of Navarone again last night. It wasn't as cool as I thought it was when I was 9 years old. :D

Honestly, the movie was nothing to write home about. I just fell for the nostalgia lol. I can however recommend "Devil in a Blue Dress" with Denzel Washingtion, which I just watched. Noir film set in late 1940's LA.

Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale

The real Santa was totally different. The Coca-Cola Santa is just a hoax.

This a movie from Finland that tells a different kind of A Christmas Story. Evil Santa shows up as a result of an archaeological dig. It's on Hulu.
