spring water dont have fishes:blowbubbles:

You can bet that at some point a fish f#cked in that water. Maybe even some kind of dinosaur did it too.

And to be ontopic, another chilly harvest day has passed, now I am trimming while enjoying a nice tea. Fresh ginger, lemon, raspberry and maple syrup.

'La Rossa,' a 7.2% a.b.v. Italian Doppelbock red by Birra Morretti, now owned by Heineken as I understand it, inline with the globalist trend of smaller corporations being devoured by larger ones.

A -very- smooth, mildly creamy, full flavored, but not too overwhelmingly heavy beer. Fairly decent alcohol content.

Turned a friend in the bush onto these 2-3 years ago, and he asked for them the next time he came into town.

I don't buy them often, either due to availability, or the price. But hey, it's Saturday, and I still need to do a fuel oil run.

Founders Brewing Co. 'Sumatra Mountain Brown'

"Imperial brown ale brewed with Sumatra coffee."

9.0% abv, and 40 IBUs.

Smooth, detectable coffee flavor, and potent enough to only need ONE.

Now I'm off to unload the barrels of fuel oil I was going to take care of yesterday. Because moving heavy objects loaded with flammable liquids is always best done after imbibing alcohol.. Isn't it?? Maybe I should have a wee puff of GTH#1 first, just to make sure my heads in the right place.

Takes 2 beers to do the job of three.

I like the “CELEBRATOR” better. It has little plastic goats hanging from the bottles. Hard to find it now.

Gin and tonic. I haven't had this in so long. Except in the last 2 days, I guess that counts too.

2 shots Canadian whiskey, 2/3-shot maple syrup, 2 to 3 shots 2% milk, 5 ice cubes.

Home-made Canadian maple liqueur on the rocks with milk!!

A guaranteed method for avoiding or delaying afternoon chores.

you forgot to add.......
"shaken, not stirred."

Fleeting moment of lack of focus, I think...

First I 'swirl' the maple syrup with the whiskey by rotating the cup briskly via a sort of wobbling rotation with one hand, then add the ice, then the milk, and stir with spoon.

So.... sorta' kinda' shaken.. then stirred.

Stopped drinking after experiencing DT's from switching from the biggest jugs of rossi to pbr. Turns out I was having difficulty getting drunk and not getting the DT's.

One six pack relapse since May. Been almost 1.5 months since that.

So lot's of coffee, tea, caffeinated and decaf. Hot coco at night very often as well. Tonight I was brave and put hot coco in the chocolate raspberry decaf coffee.

Find a recipe & make, or buy your own 'Tom & Jerry' batter mix, they call it batter but it's primarily made of whipped egg, here's a description:

Tom and Jerry cocktail recipe is a classic holiday cocktail drink that is enjoyed by many starting with the Thanksgiving holiday all the way to New Year’s day. The main ingredients of the Tom and Jerry batter is made of beaten eggs, sugar, and vanilla. A healthy scoop of the batter is added to the cup, then hot water, and the liquor of your choice (rum, brandy or whiskey) is stirred in. The Tom and Jerry cocktail is finally topped with a dash of nutmeg. The taste is best described as drinking a warm Christmas sugar cookie. Once you make your first batch of batter mix, it gets a bit addictive as it is so easy to make and so delicious!

making it yourself & fussing around with various spices & measures over time will result in just what you might want out of it.

Long ago my real estate broker's wife made the very best T&J mix, recipe was n/a to anyone ever & now she's gone :dunno:

I'm gonna buy 2 shelf (freezer) varieties, I believe I heard that Trader Joe's had a good mix awhile ago.......
