It took 5 weeks for it to manifest itself.

I had had a nap in the afternoon, on the couch. As I was preparing super, cutting veggies on the board, I kept drifting left similar to having lost your equilibrium. Never though much of it at the time. As I got up from the table, my wife asked me how much wine did I drink. I said only 2 glasses, as I was walking funny, like somebody was drunk. Ya know 2 steps forward one back.

That night in the middle of the night I had gotten up to go pee. I gather I knocked on the bed and the wife noticed through the hall night light that I was walking funny, so she turned my bedside light on for me.

The following morning, it was still there. So I had my coffee and came out from the den and told my wife I am going to have my 2nd coffee, shit shower and shave and then I need you to take me to the hospital. She knew something was terribly wrong, as I hate the hospital and only go there when I'm either bleeding or broken. So I told her, my legs are acting funny. She says would you rather see Kate if I can get you in I said sure. During my 2nd cup, I looked up Crestor side effects, and low and behold Bingo!

Short strokes we made it to the doc. She did a bunch of tests etc... you know bang my knee with a hammer, play brake and gas pedal etc... She then ask me to stand up and look straight ahead, feet tucked together like standing at attention, and place my left foot in front of my right. I said OK.

So I stood there and nothing was happening, she said anytime your ready. I said my left foot won't move, can I put my right one in front of my left instead. She said sure. As soon as I took the weight of my right foot to move it forward, I collapse to the left against her desk, and of course she had seen me walk into her office walking like a drunk. That was Fri am, I had taken my last pill the night before (not that it was my last) during supper.

On the way home my wife helped me walk to the pharmacy where I had bought a cane. Dr orders. I walked with a cane no issue. Funny thing though... my left leg was my worse, but it recovered by Tue and the right by Wed.

So I had a schedule visit with her the following Fri and she stated we will change meds to something different. I said I don't think so. I will revisit my position with you in 6 months.

I had complained a couple of times during that time frame that Crestor was fucking with my A1C, they were all over the map and, she said give it time to adjust etc... My cholesterol # has never been over 4.5. They no longer use that method, they use ratio now. Nonetheless, after coming off Crestor, my A1C started to normalize ect to near the same levels they were before.

This is all I am willing to share with you, as I don't like your bedside manner. You know what you can do.

During my research, on statins I came to find out that statins was the #1 cause of type2 diabetes, in non diabetic patients in the US.

I am using cannabis for my diabetes, amongst other ailments from GW1. My 3m A1C is 4.7 - 4.8 She is tickled pink. However when I told her I was using cannabis, to control my diabetes, amongst other things, she flipped. You folks and cannabis, you believe it cures everything I said no, just like pills different strains for different ailments. She still wants to get me back on statins, and I said no. I did try a different statin, Lipitor after a 1yr pause from my leg episode. Once again my A1C was all over the map. She still doesn't like my ratio but likes where my A1C is at. I simply smile now.

Would love to see that exchanged for a not for profit system where the sole
consideration is serving the pubic need.
One does work with the system one has at hand.

I tell people my experience, apparently you have a problem with that. I was forced to take ritalin and while I got better grades, it turned me very antisocial and all I did for years was count squares on the floor or bricks on a wall. Then years later I find out I was forced to take ritalin along with many other kids so the school would score better on the I-step tests. I don't trust the system, if you think it's about me give your kids ritalin and watch what happens.

my parents gave me "smack upside the head-alin" when i was hyper...of course they also staked kids with peanut allergies to ice floes and pushed them out to sea...and bell bottoms...

problem being that it costs buttloads of money to develop new drugs, and that is problematic if you are not turning a profit.

Ritalin turned our happy and active firstborn son into a zombie of sorts. we stopped giving it to him after about a week and a half. it IS a valuable drug however. when we went to Louisiana a couple of years ago, i took one at about 11 pm this side of Chattanooga & drove into northern LA without blinking OR shutting up. or so my wife says. WTF would she know? she was snoring before we left Alabama...

Yeah, i haven't been paying much attention really but i'm pretty sure no one is allowed in the country without at least 2 weeks in quarantine, Australian citizens included.
