Have you considered the possibility that these are simply Jewish people who are doing things for their own, valid reasons, moose?
I suspect they are reasonable Jewish people who see carnage being perpetrated falsely in their names by maniacs with narcissistic personality disorders who play the victim card perpetually through time in order cover for their decades of war crimes and violations of human rights, and don't wish to be painted with a broad brush as Bibi's nonsense and sociopathy actually -increases- the probability of greater antisemitism as he pursues objectives that have fuck-all to do with any actual religious tenets.

Jews don't cause antisemitism.
Antisemites do.

I didn't see anything invalid in my assessment, and by the outcry by those within the Jewish community who are seeing what is coming as a result of Bibi's pursuit of his Trump-like agenda, their concerns are just as valid.

Jews don't cause antisemitism.
Antisemites do.
Generic hatred of Jews is on the increase and being driven by Bibi's and IDF's actions, and the actions of those of similar beliefs before them.

"For every action there is an equal or greater reaction" Socio-political physics in motion.

Unfortunately, not everyone is quite as discerning as to the sub-categories or distinguishing/discerning in such populations.

If the 97% of Israeli society is OK with the treatment of Gaza for the last 75 years (and surveys say they are), I'd say that is a cultural and society-wide issue, and it involves a largely Jewish society.

Hate driven largely by the actions of manipulative, disingenuous, dishonest Nationalist Zionist fascists who are pro-apartheid. Period.

That's not unfounded hatred from 'others', but undifferentiated rejection of policies that should have resulted in beheadings long ago.

You may be shocked to hear this: antisemitism existed before the modern state of Israel was founded.
Also: socio-political physics isn't a thing, moose.
You just made it up.

I am in awe of your moral depravity, moose.

Reactions to political and social circumstances says that socio-political actions and reacitons are every bit as real as anything else in physics. There are even non-verbal exercises one can engage in, which we used in clinical settings that show such phenomenon. No, really. I'd be happy to describe the exercise, and the MANY years such exercises have been in use in clinical practice, especially group and family therapy settings.

And I've been using that phrase or term for -years-. Not just now. So, I hardly "just made that up."

Where did I say that antisemitism began with the Nakba? I believe I clearly stated that such issues are now on the rise, and they seem to be very much related to the actions of Israel at the moment in Gaza. These are facts, even for Jewish ideologues who wish they weren't.

United Nations cuts estimates of women, children deaths in Gaza war in half

USA TODAY

WASHINGTON ― The United Nations reduced estimates for the number of women and children killed during Israel's war in Gaza by nearly half, inviting new scrutiny for figures that come from the militant group Hamas.

Of the 34,735 people who have died in Gaza since the war began, according to data published May 6 by the UN, more than 9,500 were women and more than 14,500 were children.

But in updated data published two days later on May 8, the UN significantly reduced the figures to 4,959 women and 7,797 children among the 34,844 people reportedly killed in Gaza.

The UN cites data from the Gaza Ministry of Health, controlled by Hamas, to produce casualty figures. The UN reports come with a disclaimer that says, "The UN has so far not been able to produce independent, comprehensive, and verified casualty figures."

In a statement to USA TODAY, UN spokeswoman Eri Kaneko said the Gaza Ministry of Health's overall number of fatalities remain unchanged and cited the ministry's April 30 update on the breakdown of the 24,686 fatalities for whom the ministry has complete details.

"According to the Ministry, the fatalities for whom full details have been documented include 7,797 children, 4,959 women, 1,924 elderly, and 10,006 men," Kaneko said. "The Ministry of Health notes that the documentation process of casualties’ full identification details is ongoing"

The updated UN breakdown of casualties does not include more than 10,000 people who the Gaza Ministry of Health considers "missing or under the rubble" in Gaza.

Last month, the Gazan Health Ministry said through its Telegram channel it had incomplete data for 11,371 fatalities it claimed to have documented. A record is considered incomplete if an individual's identity number, full name, date of birth, or date of death is missing, the ministry noted in the report.

Boys watch smoke billowing during Israeli strikes east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip on May 13, 2024, amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

Kaneko said UN teams in Gaza have been unable to independently verify the figures because of "the prevailing situation on the ground and the sheer number of fatalities."

"For this reason, all figures used by the UN clearly cite the Ministry of Health in Gaza as the source," she said. "The UN will verify these figures to the extent possible when conditions permit."
The revised estimates were first reported by the Jerusalem Post.

After expressing initial skepticism last year about the accuracy of figures provided by Hamas, President Joe Biden in recent months started to cite death figures from the Gaza Ministry of Health, including during his March State of the Union address to Congress.

Israeli officials have long disputed the death figures reported by Hamas including the share of women and children killed during the war. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said more 13,000 Hamas "terrorists" have been among the Palestinians killed in Gaza since the war began Oct. 7.

"Hamas wants the world to believe that the main casualties and fatalities have been women and children, an argument almost universally accepted until very recently," Elliott Abrams, a senior fellow for Middle Eastern studies at the think-tank Council on Foreign Relations, wrote in a blog post.

"Now even the UN, or one part of the UN, silently acknowledges that it blindly accepted Hamas numbers meant to mislead," said Abrams, former deputy national security adviser for President George W. Bush.
According to the UN's latest figures, 40% of casualties in Gaza have been men, 32% children, 20% women and 8% elderly.

I have to say, no ones solutions, diplomatically speaking, feel like good solutions.

This whole region is destabilized and only seem to be getting worse due to the failed experiment of nation building and the numerous failed attempts at peaceful negotiations.

The past had important details regarding the history of what happened but can either side ever move on from it?

More than one thing can hold true at once. The Israelis are not denouncing this war and seem to be in popular support of it. On the other end, the Palestinians and other Islamic groups will not denounce Hamas and seem to support their actions and charter.

No wonder peace is impossible. There are two groups of very stubborn people, no one will compromise. However, one side is clearly more powerful than the other.

I think both sides are guilty of lies and manipulation.

The only way for this to stop would be for the larger nations, with their influence, like the US and Iran, to negotiate a resolution for these two groups that are incapable of negotiating one for themselves, and hold them accountable. That is really unlikely to happen so I fully expect this conflict to balloon at some point into a larger and more devastating war.

Looking at two different paragraphs in that article, and the data required in order to add a casualty to the formal body count, it in no way implies anything even close to what is opined in the overall article, or glommed onto by the poster.

To require full name and date of death alone (not even considering other requirements) by no means vanquishes the reality that a body was found.

Or perhaps you're wholly unaware of the results of large-scale munitions on human flesh, The effect of heavy building materials exploding or imploding with human flesh between and/or around, or the times necessary to piece events and IDs together after several 500 or 2000-lb. bombs land on an apartment complex or multi-family/multi-generational structure.

Maybe read your own material with a more discerning or critical eye. No charge for that advice, valuable as it is.

Your minimizing of Palestinian experiences continues to shine through.

It is Israel that has been -repeatedly- busted for lying about their actions.

Here's most of the information needed to pop the balloon presented in the misinterpretation of the article:

>>>""Last month, the Gazan Health Ministry said through its Telegram channel it had incomplete data for 11,371 fatalities it claimed to have documented. A record is considered incomplete if an individual's identity number, full name, date of birth, or date of death is missing, the ministry noted in the report.""<<<

And even better, is this gem.

>>>""Kaneko said UN teams in Gaza have been unable to independently verify the figures because of "the prevailing situation on the ground and the sheer number of fatalities."

"For this reason, all figures used by the UN clearly cite the Ministry of Health in Gaza as the source," she said. "The UN will verify these figures to the extent possible when conditions permit."
The revised estimates were first reported by the Jerusalem Post.""<<<

So much for critical analysis of the actual technical evaluation tucked neatly within the fluff of it all.

The data required to call a body a body is, by itself, often prohibitive.

Yet someone gets a woody and an "Aha!!" rush out of this nothing burger. Damn!!. Talk about 'confirmation bias'!! Bwahaha!!

Edit: And it (the article) nor I even addressed the bodies yet unaccounted for, buried in dirt or rubble, and presumed dead but not included in the Health Ministry's numbers..

Eventually the smell of rotting blood and flesh will aid in locating them. There's very little in this world that even remotely approaches the smell of rotted human blood and flesh, though rotted bear and rotted crabs try to come close...
