What makes you think that Russia is acting "imperialistically," rather than simply tactically defending their nation?

because THEY invaded a neighbor that was not threatening them, and made demands under threat of nuclear attack? just a stab in the dark, there...

"A clear majority of Americans think Vladimir Putin would not have ordered the Russian invasion of Ukraine had Donald Trump still been in the White House, according to a new poll."

In the latest Gallup survey, 88 percent of Republican voters have an unfavorable view of Russia, the same percentage as among Democratic voters.

But at least blaming Republicans for Trump will work, right? Let’s check in with the latest Harvard-Harris poll:

A new Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey released Friday found that 62 percent of those polled believed Putin would not be moving against Ukraine if Trump had been president. When looking strictly at the answers of Democrats and Republicans, 85 percent of Republicans and 38 percent of Democrats answered this way. . . . A majority of Americans polled — 59 percent — also said they believed that the Russian president moved on Ukraine because Putin saw weakness in President Biden.

The loss of that train carrying fuel from Crimea is really gonna hurt.

It would be a shame if that 40 mile convoy ran out of gas.

Just to remind you as a small nuance that the government of an exotic EU country in which socialists and communists co-govern, including the historical and belligerent as few, Communist Party of Spain, is sending aid to Ukraine.

And they are in Spanish; but you can consult on the net the videos calling to Putin things like "czarist criminal" in the Congress of Deputies, from figures like the General Secretary of the Communist Party, the leader of Izquierda Unida, or the communist ministers in the government.

The words of various world leaders, are that of making the future hard for Russia. The efforts to help right now though, seem like just hand-outs that won't turn the tide. It's a numbers game. The only real hope is someone taking out Putin. Which really could be anyone..

That's really quite a number. Russia will want them down right away. We really shouldn't be seeing this on the news. It looks more like talk than action.

Presuming you had 29 and nobody knew you were getting them.. what would you do with them?

Personally, I would go after the snakes head. Forget the heavily armed convoys. Maybe hit an opposition airport or two. Mainly though, I would stop Putin feeling so safe. We need to disturb his comfort. To get him more willing to negotiate.

Russia's isolation must make them rely on infrastructure that could be hurt. Things like power plants that take years to build.

Bombing those convoys safes more ukraine lifes. If the little kgb man is gone the snake loses its head but who knows if another head grows back fast.
