politics and profits aside, the bottom line is we need to stop sending people to JAIL.

even if prop 19 isnt perfect, if it results in less people's lives being ruined, then so be it!

Yeah.. why is that so?

I don't see how people can't expect to be held to different standards because of their views on one topic.

We aren't the enemy. We're supposed to be a little bit better than that.

So you're just going to repeat this, even though it's not true.... over and over again?

I guess it will be fact eventually.

So what is your problem with 25 sqft? You can't produce enough in a 3x8 to supply your own consumption? I could easily pull a few pounds from it, so why can't you? Are you really going to vote for continued prohibition because you can't commercially grow acres of mj without having to obtain a liscense?

i agree, anyone against marijuana being legal is someone not educated enough, which we are trying herd here to educate about America's history, and the money trail.

If marijuana is legal, Police Stations will have there funding cut drasticly as they get a lot of money for Marijuana arrest, helecopters, potrol, narcatics task force, and on and on and on. millions if not billions will be cut.

Then they really have to focus on Meth, coke, bikers, gangs, the people they are scared to get. because they are afraid of them. where pot heads are easy to catch

Of course it will once regulated it will be a harder to find for sale on the Black Market, weed that does'nt go through the proper channels will simply cease to exist because there will be so much legal weed everywhere.I don't see the mexican cartels producing alcohol for sale on every street corner it's a battle of attrition and if prop 19 passes Mexico has even officially complaned they stand to lose tons of money because the cartels who money flows through the Mexico government will lose there cash crop....

This seems exactly wrong to me. I see there being a hugely expanded grey market.

In CA med cards cost way less than $500 and with that you can grow all you want, and have all you want in your house. Under 19 you can have all you want in your 25sq' growing area.

So tell me if there are thousands of med growers (much like many ICmagers here) and ever CA house can have AS much as it wants (in the 25sq'), why would you buy weed at 7/11 or other store front when you had the option to get similar or better weed from the same sources you've always used?

Until such time as the MACRO weed is perceived as better than or comparable to top shelf, there will always be a market of high quality home grown.

My problem with the area is that it doesn't afford much mother space.

I think that the assumption that you could just go buy fifty rooted clones is pretty rampant.

I couldn't imagine supplying you and yours with such a small plot to work with.

I can NOT pull a few pounds out of that area.

Then again, it must be because I'm stupid... or lazy.

Maybe I'm just really immature and don't like any rules.

I agree with this post... minus the top paragraph.

I think education needs to be offered to the drafters of the bill.

Now we're just going to have to vote in whatever they gave us.

Voting in anything instead of nothing is great bait for passing it.

If we pass it, I'm not sure there would ever be a better bill.

If we don't, then I'm going to be crucified and villified for being a voice of reason.

As we have said previously, ad nauseum, there are two choices at this point. One of them is keeping things the way they are.

If we don't pass it local authorities, at least in LA, are going to have a field day trying to shut down collective. They will use it as a referendum. I don't know what the ramifications are of the law as written but I'm really surprised to find so many patients that don't want MJ legalized. It seems to make more sense to pass it, then modify it. We all know the law is probably poorly written. I honestly don't know its intent- will it actually legalize and "fee us" or is this law a Trojan Horse?

public opinion is what matters here. Put it simple, pass it and people see its ok then when we try and pass a BETTER bill there would be more POSITIVE public opinion.

Now the other way

we can vote no and make sure it doesn't pass, introduce a better more grower friendly bill and hope it gets seen in the next 4-8 years where it will odds are fail because it would be a BETTER bill for us however the public opinion would assume that to be even WORSE because we let this one get voted no for. Why would they in the next 4-8 years allow a bill that in their opinion would allow DRUGS to be given to children (in their heads at least).

Vote yes now to the current bill, let the public opinion go positive because of the reduced costs locally, statewide and nationally. Let them see that legalizing didn't do all the things the government told them it would do and actually see a reduce in many issues especially budgetary.

Once the public is onboard it would be damn hard to get them to change their views. The issue is the current demographic itself that votes. The older generation has it almost built into their heads that we need to fight wars and keep marijuana out of the hands of the children because they will turn into serial killers and rapists.

Most of those folks are dyin off and our current generations are more open to things because they didn't have the crazy "marijuana is bad" speeches that were everywhere after they banned the plant.

If we can get the current generation to realize that what they heard from their grandparents and parents and the government itself were WRONG, it might lead to them waking up to other current issues that our government is doing and we can FIX IT as a whole.

1. Vote yes
2. Build Positive Public Opinion
3. Introduce New Bill
4. Live Happy

Here is something you might find interesting if you are still on the fence about prop 19.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvVpgnBoUXA
Cannabis patient KC Kimber taped a video interview with Prop 215 co-author Dennis Peron that attacked the California legalization initiative and unleashed a host of false rumors about it. After doing further research, Kimber has refuted Peron's claims and endorsed Prop 19. In this video, author, cannabis expert witness and Prop 19 supporter Chris Conrad talks with KC Kimber to correct the record about the initiative and ask everyone to please Vote Yes on Prop 19.

I suppose it's truly the inevitablity of passing it that poses the possibility of ulterior motives.

If we absolutley have to pass it so that everything doesn't go to shit, what makes you think that the drafters didn't think about that long ahead of time?

veg plants in a 5x5 then take them outdoors. Or just keep a mother areaand a flower area. Whoa really going to know if you have a 5x5 or a 10x10???

This what I'm talking about. You guys are knit picking the details which leads me to believe you are either Adrian
monk, the absessive compulsive detective, or you have a hidden agenda why you want 19 to fail.

I'm co-owner of 2 dispensaries and I'm for 19. I'm putting my livelihood on the line in hopes 19 will bring us cannabis users, producers and distributors more freedom and respect in the community. No one deserves jail/prison for a substance that is far safer than alcohol, tobacco, or pharmaceuticals.

One collective owner I talked to believes it's the best option at this time. I gathered he believes the initiative is imperfect but at least in LA it provides a lot of support against vicious or misguided city officials.

between trutanich and cooley there wouldnt be mj or mmj if they had their way. cooley is he republican candidate running for attourney general of california and although the democratic alternative is also anti-mj, shes not nearly as outspoken as cooley. cooley has made numerous threats to mj users, producers and distributors that if he becomes the new AG he will be out for blood and we will all be on the chopping block.

we all may differ on 19 and what it may do to us. but what we must all agree on is that we can NOT let cooley become AG. tell all your friends to vote democratic nominee kamala harris for attourney general of california (shes not the best choice, but by far the lesser of two evils).
