between trutanich and cooley there wouldnt be mj or mmj if they had their way. cooley is he republican candidate running for attourney general of california and although the democratic alternative is also anti-mj, shes not nearly as outspoken as cooley. cooley has made numerous threats to mj users, producers and distributors that if he becomes the new AG he will be out for blood and we will all be on the chopping block.

we all may differ on 19 and what it may do to us. but what we must all agree on is that we can NOT let cooley become AG. tell all your friends to vote democratic nominee kamala harris for attourney general of california (shes not the best choice, but by far the lesser of two evils).

completely agree......

I would vote FOR timothy hannan

he is actually FOR prop 19

no need to decide between the lesser of two evils (dem/repub) when there is a viable prop 19 friendly candidate

Really? A main point of this thread is if you don't choose one evil (25sq' and the like) than you are against this community.

The NO on 19 crowd doesn't have a third libertarian option like the AG race may have. You either vote yes or no on 19, so really no need to decide between the lesser of two evils?

The guy who admitted that he was going to abstain from voting on 19 also got vilified in this thread.

I would suggest instead of saying no to cooley it would be more effective to say Vote for Harris. Otherwise some dumbasses might get confused and think Cooley is the one to vote for.

i just dont think hannan has a chance to win. if the vote is divided up too much between harris and hannan it will just give cooley that much more opportunity to take the AG seat....

I agree with this post... minus the top paragraph.

I think education needs to be offered to the drafters of the bill.

Now we're just going to have to vote in whatever they gave us.

education to the drafters of this bill? are more qualified than you, me and everyone here put together. This was a very well put together law. which makes marijuana legal.

if it doesnt pass. it WILL effect medical marijuana, as they will continue to close down shops on clubs, as they did in LA four days ago. stealing 78 pounds, 7 gallons of oil, 1000's of edibles, yet not one arrest?

this is highway robbery. so a no vote, is to continue attacks on medical marijuana providers!!!

why didnt they arrest anyone? like they normaly dont! because they are afraid of appeals in higher courts that will prevent them from attacking us.

they are robbing us all blind as we speak. POLICE STATE

Well I for one do not think Richard Lee has a HIGHER education level than many ICmagers in this strain. Also I don't think Richard Lee has ANY LEGISLATIVE history. Besides being a smoker and businessman what QUALIFICATIONS does Richard Lee have?

I can agree that Cooley shouldn't win AG.

I think that the raids that are occurring over medical are just one of many signs that are showing that the powers that be aren't going to care about what the law actually says.

Am I really that far out there thinking that raids aren't going to stop no matter what we pass?

My guess would be that many users think they deserve more for what they're giving.

Nobody really wants to admit it, but in reality this bill has little to give for what it gains.

Taxation is a kick in face if you consider what has been happening to us for years.

I understand that many people think I want to keep people in jail.

I think they couldn't mistake my intentions any more.

I want us to get what we deserve.

Freedom.

If that's a 5x5 and an ounce to you, fine. But please don't think it is for any other individual.

I completely agree that it sounds great to your average toker.

I don't doubt that they'd be happy.

CA looks to be a shit storm in no time.

So for all my bitching, complaining, and idealizing I really hope this thing passes in 24days and I respect all members of this community that contemplate this issue and then choose to vote or abstain.

Once it becomes part of our culture again, local cops won't hassle people for growing over the limit unless there is another reason for them to be searching the house. Even if you do exceed the limits, I'm sure the consequences will be... inconsequential. This is a good first step, and I'm all for it, but MJ is a plant that shouldn't be regulated or controlled at all unless it's to prevent people from DUI.

However... I do see the IRS going after people now for tax evasion if you get caught growing lots (even if you don't sell it), like having to prove your income etc.

Let's not cream our panties too soon. There is always another reason to hassle people, don't expect pigs to turn into Labradors.

And the pigs 1st, 2nd, and 3rd reason are ALWAYS bull shit unless a complaining witness was harmed.

not this year at least.

I will bet money it will pass. we have 4 major cities here 3 very liberal ones.

i talk to 120 californias a day, and 70 percent of my customers, not marijuana smokers or related to it. want it legal!!! us tokers are a small percentage of voters.

everyone knows prohbition doesnt work, and only creats more crime, and this will put a stop to the blackmarket drug dealers, A. getting rich off sick people, B. street drug dealers!!!

Its going to pass......

:D

It will never NOT be taxed if it does become legal. Never!!!!!!

so if u want tax free weed. keep doing it below the law and hope to not get caught, to spend 16 to 36 months in prison, with a 2 year min for attempt of sales, and a 1 year min for over an ounce. whats that 6 years?

in prison.... wow.

So even if it does pass. according to you, grow more than a 24 sq feet. because there will be no difference... exept a no vote means no plants, which means no defence at all in court. more we fill our court rooms, and go to upper courts for appeals, the more our laws become solid.

like the Garden grove vs People of california. its mandated that property be returned due to this rulling, including growing stuff, and dried marijuana.

but hash is still not legal, or oil. its considered a manufactured drug. which is jail time.

where prop 19 allows hash to be LEGAL!!

That is the TRUEST point EVER! As I said the underground will have to exist with the above ground. The grey market will have to exist with the white market.

What I suggest is that the green market will gravitate towards top shelf and the point of sale will not be 7/11. Unfortunately I see harassment of quality small growers same as harassment of small brewers or distillers from decades ago.

I've never agreed with the government's official stance on cannabis.

I don't want to give them a dime... or any more prisoners.

If I was whipped repeatedly for seventy years and all of a sudden it stopped, I'd still find the fucker responsible and whip him for seventy years.

I would most certainly not say "Ok, thanks!", give them fifty bucks, and walk away.

We've given the government billions of dollars and millions of prisoners... what have we gotten from them?!

So what about taking the first seventy years of taxes and putting it to our good, instead of handing it directly to the same structure that has screwed us royally?

:spank:

I never advocated compliance with their schemes.

As many have pointed out 100% of harvest is legal. Then for state law purposes there is no such thing as a STASH HOUSE; therefor your non complying enterprise is FREE to hide behind LEGAL grow that contain 100% of your product. Really much better than before.

It is going to be crazy fun.
