Thats one of the best points i have read in this whole thread. And its really true. I hope Medical Marijuana keeps its pace in going towards the Compassionate side of it. Like cheap Medication, Medication that is Pesticide and mold Free, Cheaper growing equipment, teaching people how to grow. Good clones that are bug, pm, disease free. To even real collectives, people helping people.

I disagree.. The debate and discussion amongst the general public has advanced the cause of cannabis reform tremendously.

The large and predictable republican turnout in this election pretty much made it a given that prop19 and the reform measures in other states would have an uphill battle. The people pushing these things knew it, and did so knowing they would be improving their chances down the road by participating in this election, even if the deck was stacked against them.

Washington will prolly legalize in 2012, and will be way ahead of the game thanks to all the positive press and experience from prop19.

We've now learned there is nobody with a big wallet willing to donate to anti-reform measures, and plenty willing to drop giant checks on cannabis reform.

Cali just decrimed too with the passage of sb1449, and this may not have gotten the momentum it needed were it not for the ongoing prop19 campaign.

So yea, chin up man - we'll have plenty of opportunities for change, and the effort this time around was definitely not wasted.

IF RICH LEE HAD MADE A PROP 19 THAT WAS MORE FRIENDLY TO MOMNPOP GROWERS AND LESS SUPPORTIVE OF HUGE BIG PHARMA TAKING OVER.....most growers would have voted Yes and i think that would have been enough to make it a closer race..

I actually don't have a job. I snowboard in the backcountry of Colorado every day of the winter and hike every day in the summer. I don't have a care in the world. You're beneath me in every possible way.
