Curing

Very nice red rider,my mouth watered. Did those buds have any cure?

Actually curing now but just starting. Great taste none the less just being dry of course she will get better with time.

I am going to sample some more as she cures although I am saving this for my buddy. Of course I have a handful of PR seeds already vegging. This PR is my favorite Sativa, well one of my top all time favorites (hard to beat the Mextiza).

Okay I need seeds for the PR. I have never bought seeds online so I do not know what to do. Sorry, but I am not a computer genius.

Great PRs! Sorry about the long delays in my posts but good things are happening here in Colombia. Lots of great medical stuff going into action and that's great but my interest, my passion is the kick ass old school Colombians. And not just the popular SMG, Punto Rojo but very rare exotics all but lost with time. Good things are in the making.
On a short note we found out about dabbing rosin. Turns out that there's dos and don'ts with smoking it. I had no idea how powerful the stuff is and first hit was a much too large dab of destroyer. One rip and a rocket ship white knuckled ride ensued that I was totally unprepared for. Needless to say for me some varieties are best consumed in natural form. However I will say that after I got use to the rosin I liked it a lot more. I am just an old school flower smoker and dont hit the rosin that much anymore. I sure love making it. More details to come.

Im not big on dabbing either. Theres something about the rig, the torch - it feels like Im doing drugs, freebasing.

I will put a little in the end of a joint before I fold it closed. Other than that, Im good with some dry sift rolled in and/or on my joints.

Smoking a jibber is just classic.

Cant wait to hear about these rarities. Still dreaming of the finca, red?

Dabs are the thing on the west coast. Not that I am huge on them, that is becoming the way a lot of people are doing it. If you look it up you will find a ton to read about it and see some funny pictures that people make jokes about the unexpected power.

BHO and Rosin are pretty similar in effect. A lot of people that I know smoke BHO and I have made it before. I have not made the Rosin yet, because it seems that all you really get is a couple hits when you make it. BHO you can make pounds of it at a time.

The thing is, you don't need a special bong or a torch. I just put BHO on top of a bud in my pipe. And the point is, you have a lot of real power in a small package. Kind of handy when you are traveling. Not saying I would do it, but could go across international borders with enough just setting in you mouth to get you high for a week.

Dabs of Destroyer? Yowser. This old stoner likes to regulate the dose, put my head right where I want it so I'm very cautious with dabs. I usually pass, to be honest. Around here, the stuff is the cannabis equivalent of cheap rum or rotgut vodka, anyway. Feh.

I'm spoiled by my own organically grown & properly cured ganja.

Ive put it in a bowl too. I probably smoke 1/3 of my sift that way.

Its really taken off here too. I know a guy who has trouble moving his flowers (even at 150/oz), so he turns it all into dabs. Its sold out even before he makes it.

Yes sir you are a flower smoker and smoking the best too. I like flowers too so I can get the appropriate dosage and I like the taste much better. This last Destroyer I cut was just super frosty and we had a good bit of it so started pressing it. I don't smoke this Destroyer to often as it is really racy and I'm a little hyper. But I will say the flowers are good to me in small hits (morning). Anyway I pressed out a few grams of the flowers and was amazed at how much oil they made.

At that time we didn't have a proper oil rig but we did have a nail and a glass bong. So I heated up the nail on the gas stove and put a big glob of rosin on a screwdriver and inhaled the whole damn thing in one hit. Way too much, making me cough for 15 minutes or so. Then a rush, heartbeat pounding, cold sweat, super cotton mouth with blood red eyes. All that good stuff I really don't care for like extreme roller coasters and pissed off taxi drivers. The effect stuck with me for 5 hours putting me off smoking anything till the next day. That was the first try with the rosin and now I got the hang of how to smoke it. Still prefer cured flowers for everyday smoking.

They don't call it Destroyer for nothing eh? hehe I will not even try dabs, maybe make some sift but really just flowers for me. I used to smoke leaves back long ago so....

Would be nice if Charlie can get some of those old lines that must still be out there. Wacky weed, rainbow and the rare ones.

Cool to see you are still growing the destroyer. it really has become a classic.

I know a guy in Costa Rica that swears by it. He sells to the Gringos and talks about how they get so ripped they look like they are going to puke. I may have to grow me some destroyer one day. Is it one of those really long flowering types?

I heard a lot about Jack Herer too, but iin Seattle it is just ordinary weed without much of a kick. Never had a good batch of that one.

I tried some JH here Bogota at a cup judging. Nothing like the destroyer to me although it had a nice taste. The destroyer we grow is straight up sativa fire, breed for flower smoking. It is a strong fast growing plant that finishes in 10 to 12 weeks.I love it now and then in small doses and for impressing people its raw power . However lately I've been really enjoying the two caribe plants we finished. I really can taste and feel the old school Jamaican in them, goes good with the climate here. Extremely uplifting happy weed that just makes me feel good.

Red, is your Destroyer cut from fem or reg seeds? Mine was a 12 week fem and it definitely wasn't a powerhouse. Good but not devastating.

Hoping yours is from regs because Ive got a pack chilling.

Those flowers look fantastic!

I am not exactly sure from what seed it came from but I think it was reg. seed. I would like to say I only grew this one out twice not 3 times. The first time I didnt have the soil right or the correct nutrients and the finished flowers were ok but nothing like this last one. Once dialed in she not only yielded much better but to potency also notched up considerably. Try the reg seeds and you will find one off the charts once dialed in properly.

Caribe sounds like something I'd enjoy. I obtained some Rio Negro Colombian beans from Centennial seeds in Longmont & think I may move them to the front of the line just to see if they have that 70's Colombian vibe. Ben, the owner, is older like me & def knows his weed. He's big on preservation of seed lines & chem analysis, works his own lab in the back. He says the stuff has character so I gotta try it.

If it's alright with you, I'll bring it to this thread when I get there.
