Caribe sounds like something I'd enjoy. I obtained some Rio Negro Colombian beans from Centennial seeds in Longmont & think I may move them to the front of the line just to see if they have that 70's Colombian vibe. Ben, the owner, is older like me & def knows his weed. He's big on preservation of seed lines & chem analysis, works his own lab in the back. He says the stuff has character so I gotta try it.

If it's alright with you, I'll bring it to this thread when I get there.

That would be fantastic, lets check them out once you get going.
The fact is and I think we all know it, that global legalization is just around the corner. Now Colombia is also on the verge of peace, I can feel the country gearing up for ( this time) huge legal exports of superior quality cannabis surpassing anything from the past. I believe also that big companies will dominate the medical but there will always be a high demand specialty cannabis. Soon you won't even bother growing tropical plants under lights, you will simply order it fresh directly from the grower.

I agree 100%, these are great times for us indeed. And I also dream of long hours sifting fine tropical sativa flowers. Kinda makes me teary eyed just thinking about it. I hold fast to my dream of a Colombian tourist finca and may be closer to obtaining it than ever. I see days in the near future where you will be smoking red riders fine flowers and exotic hashish while experiencing the lush Colombian countryside. Yes sir the best is yet come my friends.

Flower smoking

Flower smoking

Now days I hear so much about extracts and how strong and great they are and I must say on the most part I agree. Hash is nice I love it however to be honest I smoke more flowers. I should say I prefer smoking ganja bred for flower smoking, not hash plant flowers. There is just something about crushing fine aromatic calyxes up and rolling a fresh joint. The dry hit, the burn smell and sweet taste together with the gradual up lifting high make for an exhilarating cannabis experience.

Hashish is the message but I'm still in love with the messenger.

That is our Mextiza cut, we don't grow any skunks (not that there's anything wrong with that). I do use the whole plant but
i grow for flowers and certain plants are just for smoking (flowers).

The summer of 78 my mother started working as a manager for a huge steakhouse/bar/dance hall that had just been built in Grapevine Texas. She was very good friends with the rich guy that built the place and I worked there as well washing dishes, I was 16 and it was a pretty good job at the time. Anyway we had a big staff and one of the bar tenders (Sandy) was a beautiful short haired redhead that was incredibly sexy. She was way too cool for me to hang out with but I loved seeing her and our brief conversations. We would talk about music or drugs and she always dripped with sexuality as she explained how much she loved getting high. Sandy had a lot of admirers but her main guy and she had a big blow out fight one weekend and after work that night Sandy asked me a favor. Freaked out from the fight Sandy wanted to get out of town and wanted me to go to her apartment and get her stash. So at 3AM Sunday morning I am driving my 125cc motorcycle (unlicensed) to pick up a box of dope from Sandy’s apartment. I get there and open the door with the key she gave me and went in, the smell was overwhelming but in a good way. Incense, perfume, sex and cannabis fill the air of the dimly lit little apartment. Behind the huge waterbed in the bedroom was a cigar box that had all her little goodies in it, I didn’t even look inside just grabbed it and left. I went back home (mom’s place), hide the box and forgot about it until a couple weeks later when mom told me Sandy had been busted in Dallas with her boyfriend. Sandy wasn’t coming back so sadly (almost) I went and got her cigar box from the shed. I locked the door to my room and opened it up to find it filled with bags and bottles. There was coke, ludes THC (PCP), mescaline (chocolate and strawberry), blotter acid, speed (pills and powder) and 3 lids of weed. It was like winning the drug lottery, but the weed was what I went for first. There was some (very little) blue Hawaiian and some bright green (guessing Mexican) sinsemilla and a chunk of the finest Colombian redbud. This redbud didn’t have the pretty look of the other two but was the most potent of the three. The compressed buds had dark red hue with a strong musky smell and when crushed had very few seeds and more hashish smell. Very little was needed in a joint and the burnt taste was robust with lung expanding smoke. Didn’t take much and a few hits would leave you with a strumming long time effect. I loved it morning noon or night and it went well with other drugs too like ludes and acid. I did feel really bad about Sandy’s misfortune but I made a lot of friends that summer with her box.

Lake raiders

Right before I started working at the Grapevine steakhouse, I ran around with another group of no good nicks. Some rich guys from school that liked to get high. One guy named Bruce was from LA and moved to Texas that year was my main running buddy for a few months. Bruce was cool, his folks had money and he had some really cool expensive stuff and that California laid back attitude. A couple other friends and I would hang out at Bruce’s house after school to smoke on his parents stash till the came home around 6 PM. Among other cool stuff Bruce had a Chevy Vega and somehow he squeezed a huge 350 CI v 8 engine in it making the car incredibly fast and powerful. Even drunk that car scared the hell out of me as Bruce terrorized us driving at breakneck speeds on twisty lake roads (at night). Bruce also had a great weed connection and one evening three of us went to score a lid. Me and another buddy waited in the Vega while Bruce went inside a trailer to get the weed. I remember it was raining and dark sitting in that car all excited about getting some weed that was really good. Finally Bruce comes jumping in the car and off we go. He pulls a big bag out of his pants and throws it at me with some papers. It was dark but I could see the weed was indeed the gold (Colombian) he had promised and I began to clean seeds and roll joints as we raced down rain wet lake roads. The smoke was great, sweet golden sun ripened Colombian and a good deal at $40. We smoked jamming AC/DC while Bruce pushed the limits of the over powered Vega. The weed was very up and made us laugh uncontrollably at everything, soon we parked at a 7/11 near the town (Grapevine) to munch out on some junk food. Undeniably high we got back into the Vega and roared back on to the road boiling the back tires off leaving the store. I was in the back seat rolling and smoking more joints when a cop behind us lit up his lights. Joints still burning, ashtray filled with roaches Bruce stopped the car. I put the bag in the front pocket of my jeans as I didn’t have time to hide it in the car. The lone cop ordered us out of the car talking about the loud odor of cannabis coming from the still smoking car. We were freaking out as the cop was telling us about all the jail time we had coming to us as soon as he found the weed. The three of us were lined up on the right side of the car near some bushes as the cop started to search the car first. As the cop bent into the back of the Vega I reached in my pocket and regretfully threw the big bag or gold into the bushes behind us. Finding nothing but roaches and seeds in the car the cop was getting pissed off and while searching us he began to threaten us with an ass whopping if we didn’t tell him where the weed was. Bruce got punched right in the stomach as he smarted off to the cop me and the other guy just shut up and stood still. Disgusted and pissed off the cop finally let us go, he sat in his car as we slowly pulled away. But now we had no weed and the cop never saw me throw the bag so we thought just be cool and wait an hour to return and find the bag. So we returned to the same spot not seeing anyone around we began to search the ground looking for it. We looked and looked but it wasn’t there, then suddenly out of the bushes jumps the cop. He yells I got you mother fuckers and he held up our bag, saying I got your sweet marijuana now. Just then the other guy with us bends down and says, I found them picking up a set of keys from the ground. We deny the weed is ours and said we just came back to look for the keys we lost while he searched us earlier. Angry and frustrated the cop let us go again saying he knew who we were and that we were pot heads and he would get us sooner or later. We drove back and scored another bag.

Finca plans

Finca plans

I love the way you tell stories Red it's so engaging! Let me know when the finca is up and running I want to puff on the old school columbian and listed to your stories man!

Yes that is part of my plan for evenings at the finca. As the sun starts to set over the lush Colombian highlands a fire is built fending off the chill of the evening and inviting intimacy. Don’t worry no biting insects at this altitude but the wood smoke still draws you close to the fire.

attachment.php

Maybe some cold beers (Club Colombia) or fresh hot local coffee with tasty cured joints of our finest old school Colombian harvests. Soft guitar playing as stories of old are told and the sky fills with tropical stars. Local beef, pork and chicken slowly smoking on the grill to be served with exotic fruits and Colombian delicacies later in the evening.

Then strippers and cocaine!!! Just kidding.

But yes this is going to happen (not the strippers) and is in my plans for the finca. I can’t wait

Im cool with strippers - just saying...

Oooh, red... You could try your hand at making Finca Exclusive wines. Some fruit, some herb...

Anyone care for a glass of Mango Gold?

If nothing else that meat and fruits would be enough on the finca, then you would have colombian herbs, doesn't get much better than that.

Sample picture only, I don't know these ladies.

Plenty of females here, I advise caution however because they are extremely beautiful and sexy but mean. I've been married to one for the past 12 years and I have to say you must be a strong (stupid) man to stay on this ride so long. Think the exact opposite of a laid back chilled out California stoner girl and that's what abounds here. But I am sure once you meet the ladies here you will forget all about what I just said and that's cool cause that is what happens to me on a daily bases.

Not my wife

Finca wines....yeah that's another winning concept. I like the idea of everything being grown and made on the finca with the exception livestock meat processing as I dont want any killing going on close to me. But should be able to grow wine grapes, coffee, sugar cane fruits and vegetables, even fish ponds fed by mountain streams. year round harvest. And the cannabis, can't even get into that now but I know exactly what we all want and lot's of it. And much much more on my list, however I am still lining thing's up and that takes forever down here. Taking some time but still closer than I've ever been to the finca.
