Update 9/24

Update 9/24

Here is some new pictures of my current stash. It's all Colombian grown imported genetics. On the right is the previously posted commercial crippy, then my still wet budlet from my window sill plant (crippy #1) and finally a rare taste treat, AK-47 X African.

Not my picture but an idea of what we are looking for

The AK-47 X African is a gift from a Colombian grower but I don't know much about it as I don't question gifts. But it has a very loud distinct smell and taste that must be described as anise. It taste really good and very potent effect. The effect comes on quick but doesn't motivate me to do anything even though it feels racy. It doesn't last long and is somewhat dirty on exit. Not really my type of effect but 100% better than the crippy in the pictures.

TASKENTI

TASKENTI

Yesterday was a great day as my Colombian friend/grower dropped off a few treats for me. The surprise was a little bag of CBG TASKENTI mixed in with some exciting new weed?. The TASKENTI was grown here indoors by an experienced grower and it showed in the quality of the flowers in the tiny sample.

attachment.php

Beautiful lime green fluffy nuggs with a soft cannabis scent, not strong smelling. The taste is like no other cannabis I've ever had, like an exotic wood perfume. Very pleasant and nothing like I was expecting.

attachment.php

I smoked some late in the day (I was told this is for night time only) through clean glass. I took four big green hits and never could pin point the delightful taste. At first I did feel much, still feeling earlier smokes but after 5 minutes a relaxing sensation came over me along with euphoric anticipation.

attachment.php

Every ache and soreness in my seemed to melt away as I began to evaluate different situations i have pending. Good thinking weed and for about an hour I processed information and resolved a few situations.

attachment.php

Then I really started feeling sleepy, not tired but just wanting to close my eyes and enjoy the euphoria. Slept for about two hours and woke up with medical munchies but no hang over at all. Really this is medicine and much more potent than it looks.

Careful what you ask

Careful what you ask

I don't know why but the latest crippy seems to be very bland and boring in effect. It was exceptional last year but now even from new sources it all seems the same. So I ask my new guy if he can find something "better" than the current street crippy. He is also an indoor grower between harvests so he knows the quality I quest for.

attachment.php

Or at least I thought he did, so I get this which is not crippy. However it's like 10 times stronger than the normal crippy's, it reminds me of white rhino I grew here in 06. But this has a good taste and a smooth hit compared to my harsh rhino. The effect is strong hybrid, both up and down feeling with great euphoria and a clean but sleepy landing. When I asked for something better this guy pulled out all the stops. The keif from is is a whole other story.

This is a nice diversion while I wait on some purple Corinto to ripen in the December sun.

Corinto

Corinto

Finally I've got a few on my found (seed) Colombians going into flower with perfect timing. Early January is the best time to finish and harvest flowers as it's the driest part of the year. These are purple Corinto from my old friend George, the buds were very good for this quality of weed so I hope to do better with a little more care. I have two female and one short male that I plan to make a few seeds with and a lot of smoke for the holidays.

Let the good times roll

Let the good times roll

I was cleaning out the fridge the other day and found a beer! Although my drinking days are long gone I maintain my waste not want not stance and immediately find a clean glass as this beer could spoil at any moment. It was an unusually warm Bogota afternoon and the beer looked pretty good in the glass so I thought it might make a nice picture along with some of my cannabis.

attachment.php

The flowers in the box are from my tiny 11 month old window sill grown crippy plant. I am re vegging the plant because she has the most fantastic smell, however the effect is serious sleep meds. But the smell is like rich tropical fruit with a strong black hash undertone, it smells good even to non-cannabis enthusiast. The taste is almost as good as the smell but the smoke is harsh (no cure) and doesn’t smell as fresh as the green bud. The effect comes on quick and it only takes one or two hits to really feel it, very euphoric rush that peaks after 20 minutes. The first part is excellent and almost motivates me to get up, deep positive inspirational thoughts that could be relevant. But the euphoria stops me from actually doing anything but kind of dream about thing’s. Then bam like someone hits a switch, I’m super sleepy. Not tired or burnt out just sleepy and every time I’ve sampled this it put to sleep.

attachment.php

The other bud I’m currently analyzing is like top shelf crippy I guess grown in the Cauca. It is extremely good and I really like it the best. No smell and little taste but packs a wallop, with an almost instant uplifting high, it can feel like a rocket ship ride in the mornings. It is potent and relatively clear and clean in the finish but best of all I haven’t built up much of a tolerance to it. Most crippy lately gets me a good effect the first one or two times but quickly become useless.

The good news is we are finally moving to a new house in the city that I can grow at. And at a great time to not only finish the few plants I have but to get started on next year’s crop. Of course only twenty plants at a time.

Wow. Looks like a high end resort, my kind of high end anyway. What I mean is... that I would love to stay at a place like that. Looks nice Red! I'm almost afraid I couldn't afford it. I'm a bit of a hillbilly who would be mostly interested in the weed. Perhaps some of us could work off part of the rent. I'd like to be there at around harvest anyway. LOL Any idea of what price range you are thinking you would be wanting to charge? I know it is way too early to know for sure, but...

The good news is - 3,030 Colombian Pesos to the US Dollar. $330 USD equals 1 million Colombian Pecos.

Remotely close to Vail/Beaver Creek Colorado - an upscale 1 bedroom condo is $1,000 USD / night, during peak ski season or a cool $ 3.03 million Colombian Pecos per night. The same 1 bedroom condo is $330 USD / night ( $1 million Colombian pesos) during the summer.

http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-livin...untry2=Colombia&city1=Denver,+CO&city2=Bogota

Cost of living in Bogata, shown as 50% - 70% less than Denver, Colorado. Colorado's resort towns are considerably more expensive than Denver, and resort towns are even more expensive during ski season.

I've heard, recreational marijuana in Denver is very expensive.

Those are just some idea's I have for the finca, I have no intention of buying any of those (or I don't think we do). I can't really speculate prices but they will be extremely affordable to all as we are not profit driven. I want my finca to be a life experience that you will always remember and want to repeat, so not like an expensive resort. I'm thinking very small, very exclusive and intimate all inclusive package that fits everyone. We are still very much at the development stage but we are developing and I expect to at least have a target location at the beginning of next year (harvest time).
Don't worry your coming down and it will be perfect for you and us.

A short story

A short story

It was the spring of 1980, I was due to turn 18 in the fall and my mother and step dad had enough of my crazy lifestyle. One day giving me the ultimatum of returning to west palm beach with my dad and step mom or join the military. Returning to FLA was not an option as dad had pretty much kicked me out for wreaking his car and house at a party I threw while he was out of town. So off with mum to see the recruiters, army, navy, air force (didn’t even consider the Marines). Everyone in my family served in the military at one point in their lives so I thought I could do it too. The thought of being on a submarine or a ship for months at a time did not appeal to me so the navy was out leaving me with the army (which branch all my brothers and father served with) and the air force. I wanted to join the air force but they required more schooling and I couldn’t wait so I joined the army’s delayed entry program. I signed all the papers took the physical and in 6 months it was off to Ft. Benning Ga. For Infantry training. Mom was so happy at my choice and suddenly I had six months to party before my life changing enlistment. It was great my whole family and all my friends were proud of me and treated me like I was going off to war. About a month in I was laying around mom’s house smoking some gifted redbud when I got a call from this guy named Jay. He was my older cousin’s buddy that was this super rich jock type guy that was way too cool to hang around with. But he said he heard about my enlistment and wanted to know if I wanted to head down to Bay town (near Houston Texas) and pick up 5 pounds of fresh off the boat Colombian gold. I told him I was flat broke but he said no problem and came over to pick me up right around dusk that evening. Jay was a big kid with huge muscles and towering height, he was loud and rough, not really my kind of friend but I had nothing to lose and I needed a lid or two. So Jay has the 78 Pontiac trans am that’s like a work in progress, everything mechanical racing quality but body work and paint lacking. He had a power boosted Craig power play 8 track tape player connected to 4 Jensen speakers that on top of the 6.6 liter V-8’s glass paks made this car “loud”. We drove straight south into the Texas night drinking Lone Star beer and smoking endless joints of Mexican brick while AC/DC’s “Let there be rock” thundered through the Jensen’s. We drove all night from DFW to a little trailer park just outside of Bay town, the stench of the oil refiners filling the air. It was early May but as the sun rose so did the temperature as we pulled into a trailer’s driveway. It was a brand new trailer that his family owned and planned to rent later. We were going to sleep there then go to a bar that night to score the lumbo and return to DFW right after scoring. The trailer was nice but no power, no AC and it was getting hotter by the minute. Jay went to a bedroom at one end of the trailer and I went to the other end and found a bed. It was just too hot, I opened the windows but the outside air was like a furnace. I went into the bathroom to take a cold shower when I heard someone at the front door. It was a young woman that worked for Jay’s family and she was going to stay there for a few days. She went into another bedroom and I took a very cold shower. But fifteen minutes after getting out of the shower I was burning up again and couldn’t sleep. Laying on the bed nude with only a small towel covering my junk I started thinking about the chick in the next room. I knew she must be nude by now in this heat and I ventured out of my room to have a peek. Sure enough her door was open enough for me to see in and she was lying nude on her stomach. She was no beauty queen but in this erotic situation she was extremely arousing. Then she heard me and I was embarrassed but she said it was just too hot to do anything and invited me in to smoke a joint. This girl had a nice body and she was glistening with sweat as we burnt some brick. We started kissing and touching but it was just too hot to have sex, we tried but finally just gave up and fell asleep in a pool of sweat. When I woke up it was dark outside and the girl was in the shower. I don’t know why we didn’t think of it before but I jumped in with her and I guess from all the tension was out in like two minutes. It was a little cooler now but still hot as ever and we jumped into the TA and headed to a biker bar named “Tugboat Annie” on the river. Jesus Christ you talk about a rough bar filled with hells angel drill sergeants. I was scared to death as Jay opened his door to get out. He hands me a 38 stub nose revolver which freaks me out but I stick it in my pants and follow him into the bar. Loud CCR playing and topless biker babes dancing on the tables as we locate the guy. I want to go sit in the car but Jay says it’s not cool. The dude looks like the meanest biker on the planet, scared tattooed monster. But he turned out to be really cool as we walk out of the bar to his hog in the parking lot. He pulled out the weed from his saddle bag and Jay handed him the money which he counted and then walked back into the bar. Back in the car Jay handed me the bag with the weed and to my delight I smelled what I had been waiting for, Colombian gold. There was no mistaking that smell and from the dim doom light I could see that it was indeed 5 pounds of the last Colombian gold I would see in the USA. I rolled a hog leg as well hauled ass due north. We laughed and smoked all night once again and as the sun came up I was in my mom’s driveway getting Jay to cut me out a huge lid. I offered to pay jay for the weed but he said no that he wanted me to have it for joining the army. I never saw Jay again, he died in a drunken car crash while I was stationed in West Germany. My cousin told me that after my trip to Bay town Jay spoke very highly of me, I didn’t even think he noticed people like me.

You're killing us with the beauty of Colombian. Is that a coffee plantation? I got a very good gardening vibe in a coffee plantation while I was visiting Costa Rica, and in the cool mountains surrounding San Jose. The climate and soil made me think that this is the place to grow.

Hi ThaiBliss, yes that is a Colombian coffee plantation however it is not my picture. Those pictures are just kind of ideas I have at the moment. I believe like you that anywhere coffee grows good weed does too. Speaking of pictures, you really took a great one that I saw in your fantastic "trip weed" thread. You really captured the moment and created a work of art.

We are still looking and knocking ideas around on the finca but getting closer everyday. It just takes time to do it right.

Hola amigos

While your research goes on, same happens here with more colombian lines. As mentioned before proper males are much more a rare specie around, not too many good machos around. Most start flowering like males but then will turn into mostly females in few more weeks

These are different bacths of seeds, diferent source but is the same story about the behave of some males, again and again, until you find some good ones. So is always good to wait bit longer with them before using the pollen with unknow lines. Not the case with yours I think.
