This is why preservation is so important. Eventually, when people smoke a well preserved 1950s to 1970s Colombian, it will be so different and unique, it might start a trend in the other direction towards cerebral weed that gets you high instead of stoned.

Red - Keep up the good work,

we have to get passed the point where people have had super potent n flavorful herbs for a long time, n don't feel like they need to get their moneys worth of high thc because the market price is still sky high right now. prices come down n everyone gets the chance to drive the raw powered muscle car (super high thc varieties), n some will have had their share n want to sunday cruise (land raice or nld varieties), n experience all these subtle flavors, aromas, n effects that get blurred up by the hard liquor drunk effect of the super potent varieties.

It really comes down to personal wants, cost coming down, n also enough product of a well done nld variety to be available, so people have access to try them. I personally really want to experience all the old legends n variations of them. but I understand where the mass publics perception is around me, thus making the market unable to bare them.

But u guys are gonna have to ship that stuff to me when its legal, cause I just cant grow a true tropical in my short day location. So please keep good nld hybrids in mind for people like me that cant do up the tropical environment for these varieties to shine.

If it were legal ...
You would employ a green house with heating , ventilation and darkening .
Then the plants could start in early spring ,and veg with supplemental lighting . And flower mid summer . With the sun high in the sky .

Thanks for sharin

Oh yeah. What I was trying to get at was, what I can grow in my location just isn't gonna compete with it growing in the sweet spot. I want tropical, or specifically Colombian heirloom herb, but I also want it grown in Colombia!:dance013:

Thats very true, you can finish tropical plants anywhere, but it's just not the same.

Quick update

Quick update

Greetings my friends and sorry for my absence. As you know Kaiki is here and we are spending a lot of time in the field. No time to write at the moment but I'll be starting a new thread soon with information about my very exclusive (and 100% legal) Colombian tourist finca. But first some Colombian grown MangoBicheXHaze. This is some of the finest cannabis grown in Colombia currently and is the best I've ever had here.

20 grams of weed? I thought I read something recently that said 20 plants is now considered personal use. Either way that's awesome congrats!

I take that as u can have 20g on ur person. and u can personally grow ur plants, but cant take 20 plants worth of weed around with u. u would have to leave that at home n just carry 20g worth.

First of all, that Mango Biche x Haze looks incredible! Double WOW! It looks like it has a great cure on it. I hope Charlie Garcia plans on releasing that in the near future.

Next, that Punto Rojo looks very Thai-like. My first pheno does not look at all like that. I will want to watch that plant develop. Please keep us informed on the progress of that, with pictures.

Some of CBG's Punto Rojo phenotypes go from what Bushweed noted ~ symmetrical branching (South American) to asymetrical branching (Asian/Thai) and vine-like, quickly after the fourth or fifth node - or so. I thought the same "Thai thing" about idiit's (X- NLD) Punto Rojo. I feel better now that its green. <lol>

PS> I'm pretty sure <vbg> Bushweed understands Thai.

I got some Punto Rojo seeds from a friend, who got them through a Brazilian seed company, I believe. The seeds from those were the spitting image of Thai seeds I got from the last batches of Thai back in the early 80s. The Thai came without being wrapped around a stick, but were just as good as earlier Thai Sticks. I remember looking online for Punto Rojo from Brazilian Seed Company, and the pictures looked like Thai also, but the leaves were huge.

Satva - Why do you feel better now that its green? Do you think the phenotypes that more reflect the namesake are the better ones? For me, anything that leans towards Thai gives me hope that it is better.
