Dry as a bone

Dry as a bone

It was still lush but you could see the plants suffering for lack of water. But not even 5 miles up the valley it had been raining and looked much wetter.

back from half vacation but vacations anyway, Thxs RR for all the kind support over there, wish soon to be back again, cuidaros

Well not regular in town like RR said before, is all cripa 99%. A few still bring on some spiced regular from Corinto (Cauca) as we tasted which was just fine, basically pressed. There must be local weed in other areas as far as humidity may not allow other things but really minority nowdays

Local indians from Sta Marta have been putting away since last years all grows/ers of coca or cannabis. Its their land. Been told they still use their own cannabis for some rits and so but hard to reach them.

Also Nasas from Corinto (Cauca) have rights on plants they grow, they can grow coca, etc but also they are not easy people to deal with even for colombians, own culture and many problems with farc or military in their lands

Presently few clones are used in south to supply local demand of crippa, and business seems to be controlled ..this time by paramilitars been told

At the end who know whats left, cannabis is been in the middle of all local fights and demands for long, poor cannabis, not its fault!!. But now they dont care anymore. Due USA not importing weed like old days, local weed in Mexico or in Colombia has same problem, not value today, so cheap not worthy to grow it anymore unless private things or families who still grow them for themselves

Lets see if next years I can help a bit but legality allows only (but clearly) 20 plants

We only have love for this guy. I can’t say in words what Charlie has done for me and my family (his family now too). Charlie came to Colombia and brought us up from the depths of despair back to where we should be. I learned so much from Charlie and his calming positive outlook on life, everyone he met here was charmed instantly with his ability to bring witty humor into his introduction. From small children to a 76 year old nun everyone was drawn to this interesting guy. He was even able to tame my overly aggressive wife and calmed our whole family. A thousand “thank you” could never express our sincerest gratitude and love.

Killer Crippa

Killer Crippa

This crippy is from a new friend and it is extra potent. More so than most as this stuff could be used as rhino tranquilizer. The first part of the effect is instant and hits me right in the head (this part in nice).

Smells like hash skunk/bland boring...

But after a half hour of fun it's the munchies from hell. I over eat on this stuff really bad, like no control. Than it's nap time like it or not, daytime, night time it doesn't matter even if you just take small hits you will go to sleep. Great for bedtime (morning, noon or night). I think I can grow something a little more interesting (Punto Rojo?). Good things on the way!

How do I reach the reservation desk of your “bud and breakfast”?

Hola Betterhaff, I really hope to have the finca operational early 2016. We are still in the process of locating the perfect location. There are so many considerations to be made, because we want the most tropical highland climate close to BOG airport. We don't want our guest to spend hours on a bus after an intercontinental flight. I will be starting a thread I guest in the worldwide forum giving all the details. I can tell you that my finca will be very "therapeutic" and 100% legal under Colombian law. Also the finca will be very small (only 8 guest occupancy) and intimate experience as you will be staying with me. I can't tell you how excited and thrilled I am to meet my wonderful friends here in my Colombia. Very excited here.

Such an amazing thing!

With only 8 guests at a time, Im certain that someone from the greater IC family will be there at all times - besides yourself, of course.

I can see it now. Sunset, the cool mountain breeze descending with the sun, a small fire, ringed by smiling faces, each one there to experience lovingly tended fine vintage Colombian herb. And with departure, hardy handshakes and hugs, accompanied by a shimmer in the eye that says, "Oh yes. I will return." Ahhh... At least that's how I envision it.

Im ready!

Good luck scouting your finca location, great idea to get something reasonably close to the airport. It will make peoples experience so much better.

On a side note RR do you or Charlie know of any landraces from Bolivia? Is what is sold on streets of Bolivia typically Colombian? I have seen a few videos from Bolivian TV newscasts of narrow leaf farms. Also some farms with mostly broad leaf. From Cochabamba rural area usually.

MrBelvedere, never grew them myself but I have heard about, so can't say

Here a nice moño colombiano at almost 19 weeks, 11/13 weeks ago
Despite my absence and poorest attention, with extreme and dry heat, they still stand up pretty well. Miracle :ying:

I spent quite a bit of time in Santa Cruz, Bolivia in the late 1970's. Ganja was hard to come by in Santa Cruz. Finally hooked up with the one guy in town who was a smoker and had some weed occasionally. Coming from spending a lot of time in Negril and Santa Marta, the lack of weed in Santa Cruz was hard to take. Came across some excellent hash once in Santa Cruz, which due to it coming right before Christmas, was especially welcome.

I only passed through La Paz and Cochabamba on my way to and from Lima to Santa Cruz, so I don't know anything about the growing culture in those cities. I do remember that the landing and takeoff from the Cochabamba airport was a bit interesting because the plane had to make a turn between mountains to get into and out of the airport.

Since Santa Cruz is the big agricultural area in Bolivia and the was no locally grown ganja available at all, it is my guess that there is no such thing as a Bolivian landrace.

Given how long Red has been writing about getting a finca but not actually having a finca, I wouldn't hold my breath.

If you want to have a vacation in Colombia, take a plane to Barranquilla spend the night at the Del Prado, then take a bus or a taxi to Cartagena or Santa Marta. You don't need to have a contact. If you are a gringo, they will find you.

Bogota is kind of a dark and dreary old city. Cartagena and Santa Marta have the tropical Caribbean vibe.

If you go, take really good care of your stuff. The thieves and pickpockets are highly skilled.

Hi Red and Charlie,

Charlie, I believe you posted some Punto Rojo buds a month or more back on the RUST thread. I don't know if they were recent pictures at that time. If so, how are they doing?

I have your Punto Rojo growing indoors back here in the north country. I believe it is about half way done, I hope, and it is filling in nicely:

I'm long overdue for a vacation. I hope to take one in a year or two, and I am definitely going to book some time at your Cannabis resort. Hopefully, you guys can put together breeding and growing seminars so interested guests can learn a thing or two while enjoying the traditional Colombian smoke and the nature of that beautiful place.

Actually looking at early next year for the finca, I just haven't had time to post the details. I'll put a thread in the world wide form detailing our progress. The finca is pretty much a sure thing.

Punto Rojo's, Corinto and some red snake are growing now here. I hope to have some finished Corinto in December for the holidays. October promises to be a stellar month in Bogota.

Interesting spot

Interesting spot

This area just an hour and a half from El Dorado is very interesting and may well be the best place for the finca.

The area is very safe very peaceful, therapeutic after months in the high pressure city.

The temperature is absolutely perfect year round. Providing day time temps warm enough (but not hot) for poolside activities to cool evening temps for camp fires and the best sleeping.

(MangoBicheXHaze)

Not to mention an assortment the most exotic cannabis on the planet.
