I was thinking more about adjectives to describe smells, tastes and effects of some of the old school weed. To me Colombian all had a distinct burt smell and taste. Most commercial Colombian had a wet, earthy smell that was carried through in the burnt taste. It wasn't bad but not sweet or particularly tasty but I could tell it was Colombian import. The higher quality Colombians that were light colored had the Colombian smell but unlike the mersh it was incense, cardboard texture that was delightful. The lighter brown/reds had more of a dark woody Colombian smell/taste that was pleasant. Then the really good redbud had a deep heavy musk with black hashish overtone, very pungent lingering. Black wacky weed definitely tasted of hashish but with that distinctive lumbo presence. The one that I liked the most was 1979 Punto Rojo (the only pr I had in the USA). It had a rich saddle leather funk that was addictive, the smell came through the burnt taste but with a sandy hashish exhale. Really enjoyable and prefect prelude to the stellar high that follows. But it all tasted distinctly Colombian

If you have that Punto rojo from Cannabiogen.... I hope you run it for seeds

I know there will be interest in that... Its a great idea to keep a line like that going:plant grow:

You said something in that interview but its so long I really dont where but you mentioned growing them

There are a few people out here running that one but not many

Red Snake [ Oaxaxan x punto rojo ] was released and was available for about a year before they shut down

Punto rojo was re-release also right before they shut down

Talk to kaiki to he's probably got more seeds of it in his stash:biggrin:

When was 17 in the late 70s I was living the school year in Dallas TX and the summer in South Florida. At the time I had occasional access to high quality Colombian imports both in Texas and Florida. Most of the time I had "mersh" or what we called commercial Colombian that got worse over the years but still had a potent hit. Once while at a keg party at grapevine lake TX I was talking to this guy who had some "redbud". I was pretty drunk and had been smoking red Lebanese, so I wasn't expecting much when this guy sparked a pinner. I had some good weed and I was going to match him a joint. Dude told me it was redbud and to be careful cause it was "expando". I watched him light the joint and start coughing. I thought he was acting playing up his weed. So I hit it and within seconds my lungs felt like they were bursting and I too was coughing away. I couldn't even pass the joint back coughing so hard. Finally the coughing subsided and man I was so high, this fine weed cut right though the booze and hash. Instantly I could feel my eye redding and this time I lightly hit the joint. Earlier I had bought a 25 dollar lid of what I thought was good Colombian but it was nothing like what this guy had. I ended up buying a half a lid from him for 40 bucks cause it was so good.

It looked like this Colombian I grew a few years ago except it was cured a little different. Woody incense flavor with a deep interperspective high that really sticks to your bones. Colombian redbud!

Here's a psyoactive variety we registered with the Colombian government in 2021. It's a F1 cross of California Trainwreck and Panama red. It's legal for export for medical or research values. We are making feminized seed but it's available now in clone for licensed companies in Colombia.
